  8. Sometimes driving the highway can be lonely work, you may have the radio playing, or even have the GPS Voice Navigation enabled, but nothing beats the feeling of driving together with a fellow trucker. This Valentine's Day, we want to share that same feeling with the community we love. We hope to see you out driving on the roads with us in the future. Loads of Love, SCS Software P.S: We are also sharing the love with our weekly sale on Steam, with a variety of discounts available across the Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator range. 11. Hey there! The way this game works is pretty easy: We count from 1 to 75 in single steps (First post: 1, Second post: 2, Third post: 3,...) The goal is to reach number 75. Number 50 has been reached on 25th December 2021! Important: Every player is just able to comment once per 5 numbers (you can for example be the first one commenting, then you have to stop posting until 6 or it won't count). If a staff member of TruckersMP posts something (it doesn't matter what), you have to start at 1 again => every staff member is just able to stop the game again after at least 3 other staff members have interrupted in between. If we reach number 75, we'll go up to the next level Let the game begin! Kind regards, NeonLeon

  13. Hello Truckers! New year, new changes. Fresh into 2020, we’d like to announce some big changes that we’ve been making to TruckersMP which revolve around our rules, player punishments, and save editing. As many of you know, we have been steadily moving more towards a simulation environment since last year while trying to bring TMP back in line with the vision of ETS2 and ATS. Still however we face many users who only seem to be here to ruin other players' experiences. Below you can find an overview of the big changes that we’re making which should begin to address some of these issues. Major Rule Changes Ban History The biggest change that we’re making is a modification to how we handle bans due to overall ban history. We are now lowering the amount of overall bans a player can receive in a single rolling year to five, with the removal of the 3 months due to history punishment, this will be effective immediately. This means that if you currently have 4 active bans on your profile, your next ban will be permanent should you receive another ban within your current ban history. If you currently have 5 bans, you will not be banned immediately under the new rule. Be aware that if you are banned again, it will be permanent so long as the active history supports it. Also, if you receive a secondary history ban at any time, it will be extended to permanent. Punishment Length Changes In addition to the changes in how we handle ban history, we are also changing the punishment lengths for the offenses that are listed in our Game only rules. Players that are found to be breaking the rules will begin to receive much longer sentences than in the past. We are also becoming more strict on what we consider to be “kick-only offenses” as well. We ask that all players be mindful of how you choose to drive. Save Editing Changes Much of the save editing rules were done for added clarity, however there are a few big changes to the save editing rules: We now do not allow users to mix different trailer types in doubles and triples. We are lowering the amount of duplicated items you may have to one. This goes for both trucks and trailers. Strictly one per each. Following this announcement, we're giving players 7 days time to adapt to the new Save Editing rules you can find here. Additionally, we have made a specific guide to save editing which will explain in depth how rules work and some examples to let you understand what is allowed and what isn't. More can be asked to the Game Management through the feedback system. Happy Trucking, The Game Management --> View post on homepage

  14. If you are new to ETS2 Multiplayer mod, you should read this guide which'll help you. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ We'll start with the rules you need to read. You should read all the rules carefully before proceeding to the game, as you can get banned or kicked if you break rules. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Next, you should know the rules of the streets. There is an useful guide which'll help you. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ "I did read rules and the rules, what now?" Next, you should proceed into the game. Download the setup from here and follow on-screen instructions. Once you have installed the mod, you'll see shortcut on desktop (I hope you didn't selected to not create shortcut on desktop). You should always run it as administrator. Now, select with which version of the game you want to run, the best option would be DirectX. Now, launch the game. Once you are in the game, enter the email and password you used to log in in main page (not forum), then, select server and press Login. Talking about servers - my preferable server is Europe 2. I'm warning you now - in Europe 2 there is no 90 km/h limit and there are cars. Some of the drivers often drive at high speed disobeying rules of server and streets, but you may report them, we'll talk 'bout that later! If you don't want to see cars and have 90 km/h limit, choose Europe 1. Now, press Login. You will be taken to the normal ETS2 screen, just do as you do in singleplayer and get into the game! Don't have truck? You can take the quick job which isn't limited on multiplayer and you can do jobs with it too. Many of the things in game are client-sided - trains, weather, DLCs, garages. Remember - places such as where you get the job, sleeping places, repair services are no collisions zones - this means you drive trough cars. Feeling weird seeing someone in garage drive trough fence? That is because you don't have the garage upgraded while other player has - as I said, it is client-sided. If you see people driving trough blocked roads, that may mean that player has map DLC, while you don't. Congratulations, you are playing multiplayer! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ You might want to chat with others too, or report them if they're breaking rules. "Y" - open chat "F9" - hide/show chat "F11" - toggle name tags "TAB" - shows players around you, you can use this window to edit multiplayer settings, mute players, open their Steam profile and report. To mute/open profile/report, you must press on their nickname and options will appear - choose the preferred. To report press button "Report" and choose the options that player did admin will review the report as soon as possible. "V' - talk on CB radio. Only players that are showed in TAB menu will be able to hear what you say. You can change the channel of CB radio look at the radio while in first person (in trucks above your head, in cars right in front of you), press TAB to open player list window and right click to enable mouse, then click on the stack around the place where largest knob is and it'll change the frequency (channel). You should not spam, play music trough microphone at is may result in ban. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ There are also commands in chat which may help you, to see them, press Y to open chat and type in "/help".

  17. Currently we do have a rule in place which covers chat spam, under our service wide rules we have: §1.3 - Spamming or Abuse Using any of the report or communication systems provided on TruckersMP services inappropriately. This can include but is not limited to spamming them, reporting users multiple times with the same evidence and misusing the system for its intended purposes. Spamming forum/social posts or chat boxes with little to no content and/or useless content that adds nothing to a conversation is also classified as abuse. This can include but is not limited to the in-game chat, CB radio, horn spamming, our forum, support tickets, feedback tickets, appeals and reports. Therefore, this rule won't be added as it already exists. On a side note, for spamming chat a kick in-game is what is usually enough. If chat spam is repeated on multiple different occasions that is when a further punishment could be issued. Thanks for your suggestion! Locked and moved to rejected.

  23. We've noticed the high speeds we allowed before were causing way more crashes than the speeds you can do now. We like our game to exist out of simulation, rather than constant crashes. The fact the Scout car isn't even a default option in the game, we're not going to change the speedlimiter anymore. Rejected.

  24. Hello, a little quote about the new save editing rules: "§3.4 - Trailer combinations Cargoes can be changed in single trailer combinations." If you have this look, you won't have a problem with this new save edit rule, because is allowed this trailer combinations. is not allowed that trailer combinations. You can review the new save editing rules for this here: https://truckersmp.com/knowledge-base/article/780 Best Regards

  26. @Beep Boop Coming Through Save editing is a culture. If it's not affecting you in any way, then it means you've never deeply got into it. I've gathered a few comments from people that are affected: Of course there's more, but I think it's best that I don't show them, due to swearing. The save editing rules did upset some people to the point they cancelled their Patreon membership. I've cancelled mine, not only because of the changes to save editing rules, but also because I don't fully agree with the vision of TruckersMP, being so strict to the point it affects a lot of people that didn't have any harmful intentions. I've had friends who left TMP because of the speed limit update, I've had friends who left because of save editing rules. I know you can't make everyone happy, it's impossible... But it's not going to work if you target the wrong people, just because there has been abuses in the past... I think TruckersMP should focus more on the people with bad intentions, like the removal of the 3 months ban and going straight to permanent, that's good. But the whole "road to simulation", well... We're all playing a game which we want to enjoy. But the thing is, not everyone enjoys it the same way as others. I can understand that TruckersMP wants to go into a more "professional" and "simulation" experience. But I just think some of the things have been tackled the wrong way. Anyways, that's just my words, had to let it out.

  27. I certainly agree with this point I'm trying to keep as neutral as possible in all of this, so I'm looking at this from both sides. I've held back on commenting on this post until now, but I felt that this needs to be shared. I know that the save editing community take pride in their creations and love displaying them. Groups such as the "Go-In-Style" community do regular meets with save edited trucks, to showcase designs, etc. It's now limited the level of creativity which can be displayed. Equally the take that TruckersMP have taken makes sense, however it may not be the best way to go about it. In any change people will disagree, however I think it's unlikely it's going to change. Once decisions like this are made, they tend to stick. Just my two cents on the whole situation (if you want to call it that..), there are positives and negatives to the changes.

  30. How?? Last time I checked you're not allowed to run red lights at 110km/h with a truck in real life.

  31. I would not say that we want this. Every time we change the rules, there are many players who want to break these rules by abusing the opportunities that we allow. Any rules are contained in the text, which is limited precisely by abuse, when we see that more and more players use combinations that are contrary to the rules, and also find ways to exploit the vulnerabilities of the rules, we are forced to close these 'gaps'. Therefore, such changes are only the consequences of the fact that someone wanted to circumvent our rules. There is not a single project that would not do something like this, the rules always change depending on how users use them. Therefore, I do not think that you can blame us for something, we just want to protect what we expect from the project and from the community.

  32. This is more focussed on save editing. People can put more items in one slot by using external programs, therefore, there would be no reason to remove this rule. Not entirely correct here. Anyone can follow these rules, but they would have to be willing to. If you're not willing to change your reckless behaviour, you will be punished (this is an example, not aimed at you specifically.). This has always been the case, and just because some rules now changed, makes it look impossible to follow. Trust me, this is not the case.

  33. I don't think I will have any problems with strickter rules. Yeah, it's just a game, a singleplayer game. You either obey the rules of the mod's team, or off you go to singleplayer. Or you can try and develop your own multiplaer mod. I feel much better about the future of TMP now.

  36. The story behind the project... Concept of the scoreboard. Project started pretty simple - I was 16 years old guy who wanted to create multiplayer mod for a game with huge potential. Before ETS2 release I was looking at the ETS 1 and GTS binaries to investigate how to implement multiplayer however without any sensible results. I've created ETS2MP project 1 or 2 days after release of ETS2 - started it not from codding (sounds crazy isn't it?) but from creating fanpage on Facebook - it allowed me to gather huge community - the likes were increasing every day by a numbers from 10 to 100. First part of development was not fruitful enough as there were many unknowns I faced. (In the spare time there were few developers joining and leaving team - no one had enough knowledge and time to spend on creating mod). In August 2013 mwl4 joined the forces of development team and we have pushed the core code a little bit forward - mwl4 and his knowledge of prism3d engine build was definitely something that was needed for the project to success - I was never touching mods and the general data structure in prism3d so my knowledge was limited to that what i found in binaries (I used to create mods for R*-games (GTA:SA etc) not SCS one). After sometime we decided to use movers to spawn the trucks instead of trying to use normal vehicles - mwl4 created a map with placed few white scanias (2-3 - I don't really remember) and we decided to synchronize them somehow. The problem was that it was not really good solution and we had to build the trucks model-by-model also the scene structure in prism3d did not allowed us to simply update the position and update the placements used by fustrum culling so the trucks were disappearing when they were too far from spawn point. In the meantime we decided to use the same technique and try it in German Truck Simulator (video) - it worked however trucks in mirrors had exactly the same problem as the trucks in normal viewport in ETS2 - it was just experiment and we didn't thought about releasing it to public. Then I decided to start implementing spawning of the vehicle the same way as local truck is spawned - after few weeks of work without any result we decided to ask for a little tips someone from SCS - the person we wrote to was not a CEO but the programmer - Komat - after some messages we finally managed to spawn trucks. (Unfortunately I don't have any access to old forum [if it still exists] - there was nice post showing the colorful trucks that were spawned next to my truck). After that we had trucks spawned so we decided to finally write the networking part - chat, synchronization and many others. Few videos later - people asked us - what about the cargo - where are trailers? So I decided to finally implement spawning of trailers. It was not hard as the code of spawning trailers and trucks is nearly the same (some things are different however I'm not going to write it here in detail). A little screenshots from spawning trailers (3rd January 2014): However between spawning of the trailers and implementing the network code for them we decided to drive some more fancy trucks instead of grey DAF XFs so we synchronized accessories of the trucks. (29th January 2014) It was a great milestone in the project. We were able to finally use our own truck configurations of the trucks. Such a great thing. You can notice that there are no shadows for the network trucks on the screenshots (in fact it looks like bad photoshop) - so next step was implementing the shadows for the trucks. (12th February 2014) And just after that we have synchronized trailers: (22nd February 2014) After that we were working on improvements and crash fixes with the closed group of testers. On 25 April we have announced that Open Alpha starts on 1st May. However we decided to publish the mod few hours before 1st of May (I think it was something like 20:00 - 30 April) - the mod was totally unplayable - and it was mostly my mistake as the code to look for the proper streaming zone in server was using huge loop instead of using some smart math - after fixing it the mod was getting more fixes and we finally managed relativly stable version to focus on making next update. After many months of working on the mod in January 2015 I decided to drop the High school. In that time I started talking with SCS Software CEO - Pavel Sebor about eventuall employment in SCS - in March 2015 i went to Prague for the interview - it was successfull so I decided I will leave the project as it was something that definitely will not work (working at SCS and making fan multiplayer mod) on April 7th I started working at SCS and I'm here until now. Who knows what future will bring to me.. . I would like to thank: mwl4 - for his dedication to the project, knowledge and a lot of work, Komat - for very important advices and tips while creating the mod, pcpl2 - for his help and many non-sleppy nights with manually running unstable servers again, I<3VODKA - for many cool conversations, great project management, playing Knights and Merchants and Town Of Salem together, JM - for his bugfixes to my poor PHP code, kat_pw - for his unbelievably great map project + bugfixes for my poor PHP code, Eliximus - for helping me with many things, Yntro - for support, StuartD - for community management and testing, Stefag40 - for testing, Manuel - for a great community management and his meeting point project, Burner - for helping with many things, Biggi Darreugne The rest of the team. Guys - you are amazing! The rest of this story is you :-). Best regards, Eryk "RootKiller" Dwornicki Former Project Leader and Programmer
