  1. In my opinion it does not work. Its a simulation server so why make a city NCZ, you might aswell make it arcade.. theres no simulation about it. I understand WHY you guys have done it however trucks are STILL fighting to get out the NCZ zone and causing damage to those driving nicely. Its not Duisburg that is the issue. Its the players. Making a city NCZ is not going to magically make players drive nicely. They need to be punished and not the entire server / good drivers too be punished for it. People can not follow road rules such as traffic lights and give ways. Thats on them not the sensible drivers. They will most likely now cluster dusseldorf or another nearby city instead. I hope that this choice is only temporary and not forever and fingers crossed the new rework on duisburg will make it better. I get that this area was where most reports were coming from but I honestly do not think it works.

  8. I totally agree with @Courtz49 , the players are the problem here and not the city itself. I know the small size of it doesn't really help, but people need to be patient and obey by all the traffic rules. That area gets a lot of trolls and reckless drivers that don't obey by the rules, so they need to be punished. It needs to be more controlled. I also agree with this: People can easily bypass the bans by buying new game copies and wait the 2 hours to get in server. This needs changing.

  9. This would completely eliminate the simulation. And it is a feature that TruckersMP looks for: https://truckersmp.com/blog/194 Therefore, it would be a complete contradiction for TruckersMP. You turning the simulation server into an Arcade server. If a zone is conflictive, then the user should not approach. But if he does, it is because he consciously wants to take damage, and problems with other users. This It is a personal decision. If you change the simulation experience in this way, then you are going to move the problem to where the NCZ ends. What needs to be changed is the way users are accepted. A troll can buy a Steam account for $ 2 USD, and just by leaving the game open for 2 hours, he can already enter the servers.

  10. Why do you need to do this action? because of people who doesn't know traffic rules. I personaly think that more active moderators would scare of some of the trolls and not competent drivers

  11. NCZ is a bad idea. Now the entire city is basically one giant service station and at the exits people fight to get infront of other people which results into the same mess that the service station had previously. Very disappointed. If I wanted to drive in NCZ I would go and play on Arcade.

  12. Just a quick C-D Run with @issam0707 & @taashaa_xX ? ? Right before I got rammed off the road and went 8,000,000 km/h I decided to call it a night after that ?

  13. I can see the idea behind it but I'm genuinely surprised it was added. It's not solved anything, if anything it's just moved all the incidents away from F7 to further down the road. By adding NCZ to the city, Takes away the simulation aspect of the game (for that area) Everyone is now just going to fight their way out of the NCZ and end up causing crashes as @StateCA (NL)video showed above. Encourage the trolls to sit at the side of the road on the edge of NCZ and pull out infront of people leaving the city. Unless Duisburg had a rework, I personally don't see any way of making it a better place, the only thing TMP can do is admin it and remove people who can't obey rules.

  14. I posted this video in the developer announcement post thing, and i'll just post it here again. First of all I respect TMP for trying out a possible solution, but it just doesn't seem to work. When Duisburg gets busy and there are no GM's actively directing the traffic, people will just crash once they leave the NCZ area. Honestly a better solution would be some kind of gate that is connected to the traffic lights. It's not really realistic, but at least it works better because then people can't run red lights anymore. They would be blocked by a visible barrier. Ultimately it's down to players not respecting the traffic rules. And that is a problem that you can't really solve by restricting the gameplay.

  15. Hey, We want to keep this thread related to game updates and questions regarding these. Due to the number of posts regarding the added no-collision zone in Duisburg, we set up a Hot Topic post where you can share your opinion and suggest improvements. Any comments regarding the NCZ in this thread might be removed to keep the thread clean. Thanks for your understanding.

  17. To be honest I absolutely don't see a point in making it a no-collision zone. People wreck themselves when driving beyond the "no collision border" and get stuck there. Secondly all the traffic which originally was in Duisburg, has shifted to Düsseldorf. No one is helped with that. And thirdly, where is the simulation aspect? If you create no collision zones in cities, people can start driving on Arcade right away. In my opinion this eliminates the aspect of simulation. I'm always in for some testing, but this is definitely something I'd not like to see on TMP in future.

  20. As i said.. I UNDERSTAND why you guys have done it BUT it is not going to rid the reports at all because people are already abusing the ghost mode (as seen in videos commented on this post and multiple streams) to send other trucks flying. I know (from past experience) how hard it is to keep up with reports especially in duis.. we all have our opinions.. im just saying this wasnt a good idea and as clearly shown im not the only one who thinks it.

  23. As @ItsRedPotatosaid, this NCZ doesn't solve anything. We still have the same issues as before, where people stack up after the end of NCZ. Now the gas station is blocked, that's all you managed to achiev with this. The city isn't the problem, the players are. People just don't obey by the traffic rules, making a total mess in that area. Also funny how there were more than 5 game moderators in that area when this update got released, and I bet there is not a single one there at the moment. So what's this all about? Making a good impression at the start then leave it to become a mess like the service update?

  27. First off all good evening all o/ now for the topic: NCZ won't solve any issues as I said on the Release thread Duisburg city is now just one massive service station and this won't fix anything. For a GM to label players is hitting rock bottom and I can imagine that if one of us 'labelled people' would use that in the way he did we would get an appropriate punishment for it but let me guess a person with the red name gets away without even needing to apologise? sad sad. Just because some of us enjoy to drive a certain road it makes us bad players? Very disappointing what this community is slowly becoming, to the point where some of us soon won't even feel welcome anymore.

  29. Another solution could be a schedule for the Game Moderation team? According to TMP's "meet the team" page they have 13 Game Moderator Leaders and 89 Game Moderators. Is it really that impossible to make a schedule so that there is always a GM active in Duisburg during peak hours? Is it truly impossible to recruit more moderators? Let the team grow? It's just a couple hours in the evening spread out over a team of 102 moderators.

  37. Personal think you'll still have all the reports, all that has happened is you've picked up a problem and moved it two meters down the road, yes you now don't have the busy junction, but you've created a "Hot spot" where incidents are going to happen coming out of the NCZ. As seen from the few videos above, people are still ramming, people are abusing Ghost-mode and causing crashes & people will probably get reported for blocking after they've been sent flying by someone coming out of ghost-mode. Don't fully agree with state's comment about the schedule as people need to manage their social life, but maybe this is a good time to hire/ train more staff so that the work load is balanced out more. Everytime i've gone to report someone on the website the workload has either been "high" or "Very high" so having more staff can help with that as well?

  38. Why does recruiting more moderators not solve the issue of moderators spending a lot of time on appeals and their other activities? Why can't TMP recruit more moderators? Just why?
    3 points
  39. See the issue here is that Duisburg never really was simulation. The idea of simulation is to have it as close to real life as possible. And Duisburg never was that. I bet you that real life Duisburg have never had this kind of traffic. And they never had people just overtaking and ramming people in the city. Or people running red lights. Not this amount anyway. Duisburg was never simulation, it was just craziness. And now hopefully a lot of the reports coming from Duisburg will be a lot less. And make life a little bit easier on the moderators. Cause you will know this. We simply cant watch Duisburg 24/7 so we cant keep it clear and good for people to drive in. So we have to do something about it. And this seems like a good solution. At least for now.

  43. The situation in this area still looks the same or even worse for me. Still a lot of traffic especially on the road to the Duisburg's entry. I really hope the Duisburg's road network will change with 1.40 release and the NCZ will be removed. Unfortunately it didn't happen but I still hope NCZ will be removed.

  44. Hi, In my personal opinion NCZ in Duisburg is just a step back to arcade gameplay and less simulation gameplay. Traffic collapse / jam was way more realistic than the way things are now in Duisburg. Regards, //ASIR
