  4. Hello truckers, On January 21st 2018, we announced that TruckersMP had hit an amazing 2 million users. On November 12th 2019, we announced that TruckersMP had hit an outstanding 3 million users. This is going to be insane, but we are proud to announce that today we have surpassed the 4 million users mark! This is seriously beyond our expectations! When TruckersMP was first created and established in 2014 we never thought this, at the time, a small project would become this popular with this many registered accounts. It seriously amazes us! So on behalf of the entire TruckersMP Team, we thank you for joining us on this journey and thank you for playing your part in our history. As we continue our work to secure a bright future for this project, it is important to never forget how far we have come and what we have achieved. So, let's take a look back at some of the major developments and achievements since the last milestone. 2019.. May 1 2019: TruckersMP turns 5 years old! - we celebrated our five year anniversary. Five amazing, wonderful and interesting years of work to build up this project to where it is today. Thanks to our fans, players and staff for all that they do to make this possible. It is not easy, but we have a superb group of people working behind the scenes. July 2 2019: Road to Simulation - we decided to change our focus to return to our roots of true simulation. With this, we altered our server settings to create simulation and arcade servers so there is something for everyone. Launch of this was generally mixed but we saw more positive feedback being sent to us. We thought that it was important - that based on your feedback - we make changes to ensure that TruckersMP is going in the right direction. July 13 2019: VTC System - considering Virtual Trucking Companies play a major part in our community, we wanted to be able to bring all VTC's together and make a dedicated feature for them. Within this new fully integrated system, customisable roles, ranks, VTC information, social media links, ability to post announcements, news and much more are available all within your own page right on our website. Feedback from this has been great and we're glad that company owners are enjoying it. September 25 2019: ProMods here we come! - after years of our users questioning and asking, we have finally agreed to implement ProMods into the multiplayer experience. We were & are still so excited about this. Demand for ProMods has been high for years and it has taken a great deal of work to get to this point. We hope you love this new feature as much as we do! Our partners over a ProMods deserve a special thanks for making this possible, as well as our own development team. October 2019: Official Partnerships! - we are delighted for this to become a feature of the community. Recognizing those special projects that bring so much to our community day in day out, contributing to TruckersMP in many ways to bring about an interactive, dedicated and active community within TruckersMP. A special feature that will bring with it exciting additions in the future! October 2019: Patreon Launch! - to further support our internal projects and the servers, we launched a Patreon where users can pay a monthly amount to support us alongside getting some super cool perks! 2020… May 2020: TruckersMP turns 6 years old... - another massive milestone for TruckersMP was with our 6 year anniversary where we ran a weekend of events in collaboration with Truckers.FM for the debut edition of “The Festival” event where truckers came out to a custom stage made by our Add-On Team alongside a drag racing strip! Truckers.FM also provided live music from presenters during the entire event. July 2020: TFM and TMP in-game - a big development for our partnership with Truckers.FM was when we added commands in-game that would give you information on what was going on at TFM. We also added a custom radio box that you could see all this information on! October 2020: Stream Team - a brand new team was introduced to TruckersMP for the first time in 2 years, the Stream Team! This team consists of members who are dedicated to stream on our Twitch channel. September 2020: Community Contributor Relaunch - the Community Contributor program was reworked where the public could nominate members and we could promote those in our community who are dedicated and go the extra mile to promote TruckersMP. December 2020, Event System - a long awaiting feature to be added was the Event System that was released in December where users could publish and promote their events they would hold on our platform. This was later integrated with VTCs and has obtained over 500 events in the first month! December 2020: Christmas Convoy & Stream Team introduction - our second annual charity Christmas Convoy was held for the RSPCA where we raised over £2,500. Alongside this, it was the first time we saw Official Streamers go live! December 2020: ProMods Canada - to end the month right, we expanded our partnership with ProMods to support their new Canada modification on day 1 which we were super hyped about alongside the community! 2021… January 2021. VTC verification reopening - we reopened verification applications for those VTCs who are actively using our VTC system and meet the requirements with over 40 verified VTCs! February 2021: 4 million users - Here we are today, a massive 4 million users on our network... We welcome another million users to this amazing community. We are confident that we will continue to grow and prosper in the future, with even more exciting features to come, even more developments to be made and even more fun to be had here at TruckersMP. A serious special thank you to our staff; we could not do this without you. You are the amazing group of people that keep this project running. We once again thank YOU for all your support as we continue this amazing journey. Truly, we could not do it without you.   11. Suggestion Name: Car Physics Suggestion Description: For a few months, I was wondering, why the car physics has not been changed. I mean it is a Simulator, but in-game, a small Scout (Skoda) can hit a huge set and tip it over easily, which is quite abnormal. In real life, the truck driver would not even feel when someone would hit his trailer. Any example images: N/A Why should it be added?: I believe that this change would protect normal players from childish ones, who are joining the game, only to disturb the game of normal players - especially if the truckers are delivering goods from the WoTr. I've mentioned WoTr because if someone tip you over, you are losing the whole delivery, no matter how long you've been driving. Ok, we can report such a user, but our time is lost (e.q. 4 hrs), Gamer Moderation Team has to review such a report (Team has to waste their time to punish childish players). Thank you

With all of the excitement surrounding the upcoming updates for our trucking titles, we are happy to share with you that the 1.40 Update Open Beta for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is now ready to be tested and tried-out by our community! Please do keep in mind that this is the first iteration of the open beta, which is very much still a work in progress build. We anticipate that several weeks of further tweaking will be needed to get things stable. If you want to take it for a spin, you can help contribute by reporting any bugs you may encounter in the appropriate section of our official forums. Your feedback and reports are extremely valuable for our team and we thank you in advance for taking the time to help us out. So, let's take a look at what the 1.40 update has in store! New Visual Lighting System One of the biggest changes you'll notice when you first hop into your truck cab is the implementation of our new visual lighting system. While still not perfect, it's a solid step in the direction we need to take to improve our games' look. The new light system has full HDR internals, and it can adapt much better to changes of daylight around the clock or under various weather conditions. Our art teams had to make a lot of changes across the whole catalogue of our in-game world objects; including a majority of the in-game 2D/3D assets, textures, and materials to better work with the new physical model of the new light system. Some of the textures, including our new HDR skyboxes, have a bit higher resolution, but for now, we are still keeping things in limits to maintain reasonable performance on mid-range GPUs and below. We plan to bring a more in-depth article to our 'Under the Hood' series focused on this major graphical rework soon, with more info and comparison images. We are very excited for you to be able to experience and immerse yourself in driving under the new light. The result is the combination of thousands of hours by our programmers and visual effect artists and many other teams involved in the development and implementation of the new system. During this open beta, your feedback is incredibly important and valuable to us, so we ask that you please submits yours to us in the 1.40 section for American Truck Simulator on our forums which you can find here. Germany Reskin1.40 will also bring the final piece of our revisiting Germany project which a small team of mappers has been working on. For those who are new to our game, the revisiting Germany project consists of a small dedicated map team, who has been working hard to update one of the oldest map sections of the base game with a more realistic and up-to-date look. The biggest change that will come with this update is a complete reskin and rework of all the highways and roads in this part of our in-game world, which was not retouched in previous updates. Additionally, the areas around Dortmund, Köln, Dusseldorf, and Duisburg have not only benefitted from a complete road network redesign but a few new intersections and roads as well! The southern part of the Bundesautobahn 7 will also be available in this update. Vive La France ! New CitiesWith the upcoming release of the Iberia expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, we know that many drivers will be excited to progressively make their way down Europe to cross into the peninsula for the first time. With France being mainland Europe's gateway to Spain and Portugal, our team is currently developing 2 new French locations which will be a part of a free update to the Vive La France ! DLC in the future. The first being the city of Bayonne, located in the southwest of France; it is the capital of the French Basque Country and an important connection for drivers heading to Spain as it is located close to the border. The second location will be the smaller commune of Lacq, which is located in the Arrondissement of Pau. While this small village will just be a scenic drive-through for most, Lacq is home to the largest refinery in France. Both of these areas plus two new connecting junctions in Toulouse and Bordeaux will come as a free update to the Vive La France ! DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, which we originally announced would arrive with the release of Iberia. However, with them being ready now, we thought it would be a nice surprise to include them early in this update. Super Stripes Paint Jobs Pack UpdateOur latest ETS2 DLC is also about to get an update - two of the amazing designs in the Super Stripes Paint Jobs Pack have been expanded and are now applicable on owned trailers! And believe it or not, there was a small social media experiment behind the choice of the two paint jobs that were picked for this upgrade. Back in November 2020, we wrote several short and seemingly insignificant posts on our Euro Truck Simulator 2 and SCS Software Facebook pages, where we called upon our community to cast votes on which DLC designs you liked the most. Today we are happy to share with you that the two most popular designs are getting an upgrade so that everyone can match these designs on both trucks and trailers! Your engagement and activity on our social media channels really do matter! We can't wait to see all the beautiful matching combinations on your vehicles.   17. Suggestion Name: VTC Color in Map Suggestion Description: Shows in a diferent color your VTC mates in the world map, advisor etc... like it shows in "green" the Friends Any example images: Why should it be added?: Is a important way to see where your VTC are in convoys or in freeroam.

  18. Suggestion name: Speed limit system outside cities Suggestion type: Game suggestion (ETS2 Simulation Servers only) Description: The suggestion is to add a speed limit system outside cities. This system would change the speed limit from 110 kph to 90 kph when 15 or more players around. This system would work only on ETS2 Simulation servers. Arcade, Event and ATS servers would stay untouched. This system wouldn't also affect on cities because they have their own speed limit. Why this system wouldn't affect on any American Truck Simulator server? Because ATS is not that popular like ETS2 is. Why should it be added?: It would reduce accidents especially on C-D road. I am sorry if there is the same suggestion already.

Suggestion Name: Realistic Server 1 Suggestion Description: I would like to propose a **Realistic Server 1** where you can only join if your realistic settings are all set to what you would find in real-life (minus the slight alterations to comply with the game-physics). Reality settings in ETS2 should be all set to the left: - Braking intensity - Truck stability - Trailer stability . Suspension stiffness - Cabin suspension stiffness This new server would equally require truckers to adhere to the road regulations of the specific country and to adhere to the speed limits of the in-game signalling. Truckers would have to comply with the traffic lights and arrows on the road would have to followed. No Overtaking zones would be exactly that. And fines issued by the in-game police would result in kicks and bans depending on a to be worked out penalty system. Any example images: No Why should it be added?: I enjoy driving around with Euro Truck Simulator 2 for various reasons. - It is relaxing - It is technically interesting when run with realistic settings - It gives me a small idea of the monotone but free life a trucker might enjoy - It compensates me for not being able to apply for a CE license in Switzerland because of a minor squint which impairs my stereoscopic sight. In the single-player game I generally obey speed limits where possible (there are some tricky spots where the speed limit changes without prior signalling) and the truck speed limiter takes care of the rest. I will stop at red lights even if there is no traffic and I will look before I start moving into a junction/intersection. In single-player mode I have a mod that increases the amount of traffic, so I can “enjoy” traffic jams and the occasional roadblocks. I mean this is what is part of a trucker’s life? I have realistic settings from what I can tell, and my 1.2 Billion in-game EUR have been amassed over a gaming period of 871 real-time hours which translates to 10'936 days and 8 hours of in-game time. I play with a steering wheel and every now and then I’ll turn on the SCANIA H-Shift pattern for my Scania R, 750 hp, 8x4, 12+2 gearbox. All-in-all up to now a rather enjoyable experience. I recently decided to join the online community of TruckersMP to experience the pleasure of trucking together with people that have a similar relationship with ETS2. I was looking forward to fellow truckers who respect each other and participate in a equally exhillerating online experience. I’ve already been playing for a couple of days and last night I hopped on to the SERVER 1 and had an assignment for Duisburg (GER). At first, I thought I might have joined the ARCADE server for some reason. Nobody cared about road regulations and speed limits. Overtaking took on a special art form where everything went. And red lights are just for decoration. Junctions blocked and everybody was pushing and ramming and overtaking. It looks like a lot of people seem to be online just for fun and not for the realistic part. I am proposing this, because I think there are a lot of truckers out there who think likewise and would enjoy the experience of fellow truckers giving way, stopping at red-lights and only overtaking where possible.   21. Suggestion Name: Non collision areas at truck services Suggestion Description: In American Truck Simulator, there are no collision-free areas at truck service points throughout the map. Any example images: Why should it be added?: At certain times there is a lot of traffic there and it is difficult to maneuver, the command F7 + enter sometimes transfers to these places and an accident with other drivers may occur. Sometimes VTC organize convoys and a large number of people will not fit there, which leads to a road blockade.

  23. Don't know if it is mentioned already but: This comes with the 1.40 update yes? So all the suggestions now, are just temporarily fixes, because Duisburg will have a complete overhaul, according to the SCS Blog. It is only a month or 2 before the 1.40 update? The problems in Duisburg are for years, so a few more months sucking it up shouldn't be difficult. And if you are fed up with it, just avoid the place... That's what I do, I saw the port of Calais the other day (I haven't been gaming for over a year and started again recently). And I was like: Nope not going there, until they made the port a NCZ. I think people want to have it difficult and want to complain about Duisburg. People love to complain and then lash out to the admins, moderators. And then they feel good about themselves.

  25. Hello there! thanks for creating a topic in our forum! This is indeed a known issue due to the new FMOD that SCS added in 1.39 update, but unfortunately, we cannot say when this will be fixed. Anyway, I would like to mention that the sound of the horn and the engine sound (including all other sounds you mentioned) should be working fine with less than 4 players around you. You can check how many players are around you by pressing the 'Tab' key on your keyboard. The Community Moderation Team (CMT) is responsible for moderating all non-game related platforms that we use to interact with the community. Included in this, is moderation of our Forums, Discord guild and livestream channels. Through this recruitment, you will be invited to moderate one of these platforms dependent on our needs and your preference. Requirements: Have good knowledge of TruckersMP and the rules Must be a member of TruckersMP for at least 12 months Must be registered on the TruckersMP forum for at least 6 months No bans / forum or Discord punishments within the last 12 months; Must have no more than 3 bans in the last 24 months Show activity on the TruckersMP services Must have overall good behaviour, which includes forum, Discord and our official social media pages You have sufficient knowledge of English language and the one which you apply for Good communication skills Resilient, active and flexible Ability to work within a team and on your own at times Eager to learn and progress your knowledge Organised and adaptive Be able to accept constructive criticism As a Community Moderator, you may have some of the following responsibilities: Forums: Engage in positive community interaction Ensure all topics, posts, replies, status updates and messages comply with the official TruckersMP rules Moving mistakenly submitted topics to the respective sections Keep the forums organised Archiving inactive topics Handling the forum reports Discord: Engage in positive community interaction Ensure all users of the guild follow the Discord guild's rules Deal with reports submitted by members of the Discord community Reviewing Discord suggestions with Community Moderation Managers to check they are worthy of implementing Reviewing Discord rules with Community Moderation Managers to ensure they meet the community's needs Work with our users to keep a clean ambience and environment Please note that we are not recruiting Discord Moderators during this particular recruitment. Suggestion Name: Removal or Remodel of this sign outside of Calais Suggestion Description: This Sign is quite an obstruction to the view of drivers when leaving the Motorway as it blocks your view to the left, leaving you blind when pulling our onto the road towards Calais. This sign could be remodelled to be in a different location or size and would greatly decrease the rate of accidents at this junction, meaning less work for Game Moderators and a more realistic experience while playing TruckersMP. Example Images Below: Why it should be added: This should be added to reduce the work Game Moderators have to do at this junction as it will clear the view of drivers and therefor reduce the risk of collisions.   34. Hello, Do note that you could also just simply quicksave your game more frequently and then proceed to load up that quicksave. Also know that WoT is kinda against such an idea. For example if you were to teleport your truck and trailer in singleplayer to the destination, while having a WoT contract, WoT will simply teleport you back to the last known location before you teleported.
