Hello truckers! On the 9th of December we're introducing Real Operations again, organized by our team. During this event, our staff team will be creating realistic events on the route shown above (Salzburg- Strasbourg | and the return!). Realistic events as custom roadworks, police/border controls, fake accidents and a lot of police force showing on the route. Make sure you behave, or you might get pulled over! ;-) These random events will be created by our staff team and by our staff team only, no player interference. During this event, there will be no convoy leader. You could drive alone, or drive with a bunch of friends on the planned route while experiencing a higher level of realism caused by our staff team. You can take a break easily, or drive non-stop to Strasbourg, and why don't you do the return aswell in one go? It is up to you! This time we've listened to your feedback from the previous Real Ops event, we've taken a shorter route, are making sure you can drive the other way aswell and we've planned the custom events beforehand. We are aiming at making it a succes, and we hope you do too. The approximate end time is 2 to 3 hours later, it depends on how much staff there is left and how many players are still driving. Good morning you lot, been a while since I uploaded any dash cam clip so I finally got around to upload another one tonight or rather this early morning. Recorded last night when we got quite a large amount of snow coming down driving from Tjeldsund Bridge towards Harstad, as always I hope you like it or find it interesting or something! Still have some other old dash cam footage saved on my computer so hopefully I'll have some spare time in the next few days to upload some of them as well for those of you interested. As I am finally parked up in Alta (the northernmost city in Norway) for the night and the clip is uploaded I am finally going to call it a night and go to bed so goodnight!

By default TruckersMP client mounts /data/shared and /data/ets2 or /data/ats (depended on the game), but also /data/shared_mod and /data/ets2_mod or /data/ats_mod (depended on the game, and of course if directories are present). If you want to create UI mod, then you need to put files into those directories in proper subdirectiories. For instance, if you want to replace /data/ets2/ui/ui_skin.png then you have to create directories and file as follows: /data/ets2_mod/ui/ui_skin.png. As a result, the file will not be removed while running the launcher.

I almost forgot to post about this... I have managed to sort out the problems I had with my computer on Monday. In the end I ended up spending those R$ 330 on a new hard drive at a local store instead of ordering it online to pay less. My rush to get it ASAP wasn't limited to my TMP duties so I actually had reason to buy a new one as quickly as possible. 330 bucks less and that I will heavily miss very soon, for sure, but at least now my PC is back in order. On Tuesday, soon as I got back from downtown with the new HD I removed the faulty drive from my computer and installed it alongside the new one on my second computer and with the live Windows version contained in Hiren's Boot USB (gotta love this set of IT tools) I backed up all the contents. Thankfully it didn't give me any I/O errors like on Monday so it worked. There were many corrupted files on several different folders. One of which is stuff from the old Minecraft server I was admin on before it shutdown back in 2015 but thankfully I had a backup in my external hard drive so I simply had to replace the one from the faulty drive with the one from my external drive (hooray for backups in multiple locations!). Took me all day and a huge portion of the evening (over 550GB of data in total so it took a while) but eventually I managed to copy everything I needed. A couple of my Virtual Machines (which I store in that hard drive) also had issues with file corruption, in particular my Windows XP that I use for remote access on clients, but since I had an image of that VM, restore it wasn't trouble. Only had to update it later. Steam itself also lost a few files, particularly some configuration files so I had to reconfigure the program. In the end, the migration of data to the new hard drive was successful and once the new HD was installed back into my computer where the faulty one was and given that drive's original directory letter (H:\), everything started to work again as it should so thank God, I am back in business. Still, that's not to say I haven't got stuff to do that accumulated. Since I pretty much couldn't do anything on Monday and Tuesday besides work on fixing the computer, stuff piled up so now I've got to catch up. :\ I'll say... I love my profession. Being a computer technician is really helpful! If I had to send my PC in for someone to do the job I've done myself (flawlessly, I dare add), I'd have to spend a lot of cash and most likely be without my PC for nearly a whole week. Not to mention that I'd probably lose files because whoever would work on it would not be nearly as careful as I am with my job.

This topic will contain an answer to that question and some general information that might interest you. First of all, being a game moderator isn't just about driving a police car. A few of you might be reading this topic solely to find out how to drive a police car. This version of the car is only reserved for staff members with game moderator permissions such as our game moderators, managers and developers. Driving a police car is not the main purpose of a game moderator (will be using "GM" as an abbreviation in this topic). It's only an additional perk of the rank. The duties of a GM are not just flying over the map and randomly kicking or banning users. The rank of a GM comes with a great responsibility. A GM deals with various duties on our website and in-game, including website reports, in-game reports and ban appeals, judging what is right and wrong. Every GM is chosen with great care to ensure maximum quality. As of January 2018, there is open GM recruitment, however there is no plan to open it very often. As you may have noticed, GM's are mostly selected from within our current team. To be specific, you need to join our team as another rank in order to get selected for a promotion to GM. Not everyone gets the promotion, there are various of reasons why they are not selected. If you join the team with the aim of being a GM, you are most likely to fail that. We want people to join our team with a big interest in their section of which they applied for. If you are doing well, a Game Manager might notice you and offer you a promotion if they are needing more GM's. It's your choice to accept or decline that if you prefer to remain in your current sub-team. Here is a summarary for the two different paths you could walk to become a GM, see below: Step 1 - Join the team as another rank (Support, Moderator, Media). Step 2 - Work hard, do your duties as you are supposed to and be nice. Step 3 - Offer by GMM to join GM on a trial period. The second option is the following: Step 1 - Make sure you have no bans, good forum activity and good behaviour Step 2 - Once GM recruitment opens, apply to join and make sure you fill your application out with good detail. Step 3 - Invite to an interview, chat with GMMs Step 4 - Training period with both GMMs and GMTLs. Step 5 - Trial Period of 2 months. Some tips and advice we can give you: - Never ask to become a GM, this decreases your chances to become one. - Don't contact anyone about your candidacy for a position as GM. - Don't join the team with the sole aim of being a GM, you will most likely fail to achieve this then. - Don't ask when other recruitments will open. + Do your best if you are selected for another role in the team, do your duties and get noticed in a good way. + Practise your skills of the English language, this will be your main language as GM. + Obey all rules on the forums and in-game, having a ban or warning point decreases your chances. + Be active on our forums, get known in our community and give others a positive impression about yourself. Some related questions Q: Do I need to have both ETS2 and ATS if I would be a GM? A: No, we recommend you do but this is not a requirement. Q: Is being friends with other staff members giving me an advantage? A: No, we select new GM's based on their activity, behaviour and skills. Everyone has an equal chance of being selected. Q: I'm not really interested in the forums, can I skip being a moderator first? A: No, we require you to participate in discussions and the community. It is important to know how our community works if you want to be on the TruckersMP team. Q: I'm never chosen in a recruitment, what can I do? A: Not much, free spots on our team are limited and many are interested in it. Try to improve and try again during another recruitment session. Q: I speak {language}, there are no other GM's who speak this language. Can I become GM right away? A: No, you still need to follow all steps involved. Hi Truckers, My suggestion: Suggestion Name: Dual tires for trailer Suggestion Description: Now it is not possible to enter a server if you have the rear wheels of the truck on a trailer, the launcher detect it and kick you. My wish is to unlock the r_wheel folder, with the "complete" wheels (rims and tire are together), so that we can save edit the wheels on the trailer. (I am not sure) I think in the earlier version of TMP was it allow to put the wheels on the trailer and you will not kicked from the server, please correct me if I am wrong. The wheels do not expand the hitbox so much I know. Any example images: Why it should be added? 1. It looks nice 2. Good for tuning meeting (3 different rims avaible) 3. diversified because everytime to see the same wheels are boring 4. Fits perfect to another trailer types, everyone who works with trailers and try to put the dual wheels from the cartransport on an another trailer knows the issue with the cartrans wheels (to small, very deep in the trailer's chassis and etc), the (rear) steel rims fits perfect on mostly every trailer except overweight and cartransporter trailers.
