On the 1st May 2014, TruckersMP (formerly known as ETS2MP) opened its doors to the public. Fast-forward to today; with over 4 million players as well as over £50,000 raised for charities at events in the community over the past 7 years which is a massive achievement, and millions of hours combined playtime, the success speaks for itself! For TruckersMP, the anniversary is always a special time of the year. It reminds us of how awesome our community is and what we have accomplished together. With that said, we are very excited to announce our celebration plans coming in just a few days... Friday 30 April 2021 To begin our 7-year anniversary celebrations, we are inviting everyone in the community to join us for an exclusive event, never seen before in the community! Like last year, we are partnering again with Truckers.FM to bring you a one of a kind 6-hour Festival! Located in Silverstone, Nearby London we are opening up our Festival on a huge site next to the race track where our Tournament was located last month. This will include a spectacular custom stage, lots of party decorations, a custom dragstrip, race track and most importantly - great music broadcasted to you LIVE from the Truckers.FM studio. You can send song requests, shoutouts and listen in-game with our new built in radio feature for Truckers.FM on the in-game tab menu. All you have to bring is food and drinks! ;) Not only that, but we will also be hosting other great content, such as; competitions, giveaways, shoutouts, and even interviews with TruckersMP Developers and Management! They did something wrong, then. I can play right now with both versions, 1.39 for MP, 1.40 for single player, different profiles and everything works, haven't lost anything. But it's up to each one if they want to downgrade and play MP now or just wait until MP updates to support 1.40.

Of course, I understand why this is done, but I would like to say that you also need to look at this from a different angle. I want to explain this, and I hope you agree that this needs to be fixed. Hello ResTed, Thank you for taking your time into submitting your suggestion to us. I have reviewed your suggestion that you have submitted to us and spoken about it to my colleagues. We have elaborated together about this suggestion and we have come to the conclusion that we do understand your point but do not see enough reason to implement it into the TruckersMP website. This is because of several reasons: We receive quite a lot of feedback tickets that are either false complaints or simply to ask us an obvious question. About 90% of the feedback tickets that we receive on a daily basis are false complaints and simple/obvious questions. We want to avoid any possible spam we might receive within the feedback system. Users can request us to move their ticket to a different category whenever they like. We can forcefully close a ticket if we deem this to be necessary and thereby allowing users to create a new ticket again without them having to wait for their old ticket to close. This is only if we deem this to be necessary. Otherwise we can simply move categories of it. Because of these reasons will I be declining your suggestion. Support Team Recruitment From the 26th of April until the 26th of May, we will be looking for talented individuals to join our Support Team. Support is a very important role within the team since you will provide technical assistance to users who urgently need it. Starting as a Support Trainee under the supervision of Support Management, you will learn about the job and will complete a test to see if you are a valuable asset for the Support Team. After this, you will become Trial Support, where you are helping people on the forum, Discord and the Support System. Finally, if your work is up to the high standards set by the Support Management, you will become a full member of the Support Team and provide assistance to players all across the TruckersMP platform. For people who don't have much idea of how the game's multiplayer is made, I will explain briefly and the team will correct me if I have written something wrong. I will try to explain it in the simplest possible way. There is such a thing as reverse engineering. Imagine that the @mwl4 hears a high-pitched sound on the path motor there is no option to change this high-pitched motor sound. Then mwl4 opens the program (executable file responsible for opening the game and executing all the features) then through reverse engineering mwl4 opens this file in a tool called IDA PRO that is responsible for taking the file and converting it into a language machine that we can call assembly. Mwl4 has to find out between hundreds of millions of lines of code where the instruction that makes the high-end engine work is left and then after hours, days and many sleepless nights, it discovers and creates a program that injects an instruction modified by over the original game instruction by changing the sound from high to low. You have no idea, I think most do not know how complex it is to reverse engineer a program. Imagine that every time a new version of the game comes up, mwl4 has to discover the news and addresses within those hundreds of thousands of lines of code all over again and extract these new instructions in the multiplayer project and he needs to do that at the same time before that it works in sync. Be patient and support this @mwl4(I don't know the other developer) because this guy has a lot of hard work to provide gameplay for everyone. Thanks and good luck to the team

Translation Team Recruitment From the 25th of March until the 10th of May, we will be looking for talented individuals to join our Translation Team. Translators are in charge of translating assets and posts for the community; making sure the community understands what is going on at TruckersMP. They are experts in the languages they speak, and work under the supervision of Translation Management to help the community. As a Translator, you will translate assets, posts and messages for the community. You will help the community to understand what is going on at TruckersMP by translating those in the language you apply for! Every guide, knowledge base article and the Official Rules will be updated by you. Therefore you will be representing TruckersMP in the various language communities.
