  1. We are always excited to show our community what changes and updates we are working on for the next version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Today we want to focus on one of the bigger changes drivers in Europe can expect to see in the upcoming 1.38 update. Introducing the French city of Lille, an important logistics link for truckers traveling between Belgium and the Netherlands, but not as you may remember it in Euro Truck Simulator 2. Lille has received a major reskin, giving it a fresh and up to date look for 1.38. So what exactly has been changed? Let's take a closer look. As you can see from these comparison shots, many of the older vegetation models such as trees and wildflowers have been replaced with newer ones, which gives the city a completely new look in terms of natural beauty. Another major change made to Lille is to its roads and junctions; many of the road junctions have been re-worked to be based on more true to life layouts. Road signs and roads, in general, have also been updated with more accurate, realistic, and detailed textures. While many of the major changes are quite obvious, we will leave it up to you to explore Lille for yourself to spot them all! We look forward to sharing more with you about what is to come in 1.38. Suggestion Name: Sound Mods in Multiplayer Suggestion Description: Adding sound mods to the multiplayer (ProMods + Vanillaserver) Any example images: n/a Why should it be added?: Due to the fact, that SCS has (unfortunately) screwed up the stock sounds of the engines with FMOD, TruckersMP should support a small band of sound mods (like Kriechbaum's ones). In my opinion, this would be a really great addition and we all know, what will happens often in tunnels (slow down, windows down, set a lower gear and give fullspeed = POG) and people who don't have the mod are having the default sounds Greets, Maurice Bailey

  3. Suggestion Name: Extended Player View Area In-Game Suggestion Description: Currently the max distance a player can see other players from their truck is 1000 meters. For patrons you extend that distance by like 500 meters or so. Any example images: Why should it be added?: I believe this should be added as players may be more inclined to get patron subscription with TMP if they knew that they could see an extra 500 meters from their truck.

  4. Greetings! We’re now quickly approaching the end of June, which means it's time for our monthly convoy! This will be our FIRST Official Convoy on 1.37, and we look forward to you welcoming you along for the ride. On this occasion, we’ve decided to take you on a journey on the roads of Scandinavia DLC discovering the beautiful winding roads and taking in some of the best breathtaking scenery! Join us on Sunday 28th June 2020 at 17:00 UTC (Alternative Timezones). Starting our journey in Copenhagen, then taking some very scenic routes heading north towards, Vaxjo, Jonkoping & Orebro before reaching the destination which is Oslo. We will be discovering some of the best country routes through the middle of Scandinavia! The convoy duration is estimated to be 90 minutes. It may be longer if you are towards the rear of the convoy. No breaks are scheduled, but you are welcome to pull into a safe place should you require a rest. Suggestion Name: New system like patreon Suggestion Description:I have an idea for the game.It includes all players.Especially,old players.As you know,Truckersmp has Patreon system.Nicknames are yellow in game for who donate on Patreon.I have been playing this game since 2014, after a few months I will enter the 6th year.You guys might add some icon to old players (This should be done not only for a 6-year player.It's your decision). The name can be written with a different shade of yellow like Patreon. Any example images: Unfortunetaly Why should it be added?:With that way,You can give a reward the players who is playing against trolls or cheaters etc. for long years.

When customising the Volvo FH16 to have the sleeper cabin and purchasing it, the following error message will occur: Additionally, this issue occurs when loading into the Volvo FH16 with the sleeper cabin already added onto the truck. However, it does not occur when using the UK dashboard, with the steering wheel on the right side of the cabin.

  10. Fuel is not cheap everywhere. Efficent driving can save up a lot of money, especially useful when on a new profile. This guide is recommended for steering wheel users only. 1. Slower accelerating Pressing the gas pedal only 1/2 can help reducing the fuel consumption. It might take longer to get to speed. Recommeded: Pressing gas pedal 1/4-1/2 only. 2. Low RPM Staying at low rpm reduces fuel consumption aswell. Most trucks have a small blue mark on the RPM gauge. As seen in the image above, the first and second truck has this blue mark. It is recommended to shift up to the next gear when approaching the blue mark. As seen on the very right picture, there is no blue mark. It is best to shift up between the green and red mark, ~2000-2500 RPM. The skoda does not have a mark. I mostly shift up at 3000 RPM. Try to never exceed 3000 RPM for best fuel consumption and still having a decent acceleration speed. 3. No cruise control Cruise control tends to increase the fuel consumption. I recommend to drive without cruise control, but for long routes it is still better to use cruise control AND to shift up to get low RPM. 4. Slow braking When you approach a red traffic light, get on the clutch and brake just a bit slowly. That way you will not loose much speed, and if in time the traffic light turns green you do not have to accelerate again. Sometimes, this trick does not work and you have to brake hard when being near the traffic light. But in most cases, if you do this early, you can save yourself the acceleration time! Simply, your goal is to keep the RPM low and keep the acceleration low. That way you will succeed and save up fuel!

  12. Suggestion Name: Pickup trucks Suggestion Description: pickup trucks and hauling jobs Why should it be added? I would rather see pickup trucks be added than the skoda since it is in the same category as trucks, i believe it would also do a wonderful job with hauling jobs and also to give players a realistic feeling of what it is like to haul trailers with a pickup truck while there are thousands of other drivers around doing the same thing. And i also think players would engage more in the game if modified kits where added each update for the pickup trucks and also there are some people who dont want to be too high or too low of the ground and thats where the pickup truck comes in and also since it is smaller than alot of semis it should be cheaper which should enable beginners or starter players to learn easier by doing the easier haulings first and then as they level up they move on to bigger trucks and trailers. o

  13. Suggestion Name: One Way Duisburg (Roundabout). Suggestion Description: The idea is that Duisburg, which has a one-way square roundabout shape, attaches photos to understand, also including why the secondary traffic light should be removed. Why should it be added?: This should be added because in the rush hour when the server is full and even with 1,000 people missing, Duisburg is already collapsed, there is no denying, this project will help traffic flow much better and hardly collapse. The traffic light below the secondary does not help at all, that is, Delay and constant retentions, and not everyone respects it, it also proposes a model of how it should be. In the traffic light photo, he sees a model that would help, considering that where the stop is, almost no one comes, 90% make the move to enter Duisburg and exit through the Gasolinera secondary. Suggestion Name: Player NCZ Marker Suggestion Description: Adds sign to end of player name when player is in NCZ Any example images: Why should it be added?: Some prefabs have small NCZ areas and for players it is sometimes hard to tell if a player is inside an NCZ or not, this results in backlogs of traffic caused by players not driving through a trailer, because they dont know it has an NCZ, if a player has a clear indication to the fact that they or their trailer is currently cloaked by a non collision zone, this should help players on the highway by indicating that they can be clearly driven through. I too have had to tell people that they and myself were in fact in an NCZ and can be driven through, as they thought i was clearly blocking. The moment they see NCZ appear, they then drove through me so making it clear that a player is in an NCZ will help traffic flow, Admittedly I used an image of someone leaving. Calais was oddly quiet so had to take what I could get, however it provided what I needed. especially around some world of trucks events. Big Sur and Genoa are just 2 examples where people have been unsure about players being in NCZ or not so have simply sat there, causing a needless jam because there is no clear indication that a player is in an NCZ or not. I have posted this here so players in the community can discuss the idea.

Suggestion Name: Connection suggestion Suggestion Description: I recently been noticing that when i join Truckersmp after my last time playing, i leave off in a pretty populated area and when I connect i get kicked for unreliable connection but in reality its fine. The suggestion is to put us back into queue or in an offline server where it automatically connects us back into the server (if we have to wait in queue so be it) and if you cant connect after 4 tries then relaunch the mod. Any example images: N/A Why should it be added?: I feel like this would be a lot beneficial to those who are annoyed with closing and starting the mod over and over again, overall would be a good feature to add in my eyes

  16. Suggestion Name: New interchange on C-D road at A1 Suggestion Description: A new custom interchange should be built. Im not completely sure how the DLC assets would work in the base map, but if that doesn’t - you could use the assets/prefabs from the Germany rebuild to do this. Also, traffic lights: I do not know how much they can be customized, but the timing I provided in the image is only an idea and i don't know if you can do things like that in the editor Any example images: Why should it be added?: This interchange is the second most congested part of the Calais-Duisburg Road. This unnecessary traffic jam is caused by this old interchange prefab. The ramps are too steep, there is inadequate road space between the two sets of ramps, and there are no turn lanes or traffic lights. Rebuilding this junction will improve the flow of traffic, smoothen curves on both the C-D road and the A1, and improve turning off and on the freeway. Adding this new junction will not negatively affect the C-D road as this is only a small section of road being modified, and traffic will be able to flow through this junction more at ease than ever before.

Dies wird unser ERSTER offizieller Konvoi auf der 1.37 und wir freuen uns darauf, euch auf dieser Fahrt begrüßen zu dürfen. Aus gegebenem Anlass haben wir beschlossen, euch auf eine Reise mitzunehmen welche durch das Scandinavia DLC führt, wo wir dann die wunderschönen, verschlungenen Straßen erkunden und die atemberaubende Landschaft genießen können! Kommt mit am Sonntag, 28. Juni 2020 um 19:00 Uhr. (Alternative Zeitzonen) Wir beginnen unsere Reise in Kopenhagen und fahren dann über wunderschöne Strecken Richtung Norden.   21. Nachtrag vom 19.06.2020 Gestern zusammen mit @Racyen und meinem neuen Spedi-Chef "Ingvar" bei dem wöchentlichen Konvoi der "Rising Logistics" mitgefahren. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Konvoi mit einer sehr gut durchgplanten Konvoi-Absicherung .   23. Guten Abend @Enrico8077, hättest du vielleicht die Möglichkeit mal einen Screenshot von deinem Mod-Ordner hier zu teilen? So auf Anhieb könnten mehrere Gründe die Ursache für dein Problem sein: Eine oder mehrere deiner Dateien sind veraltet (alle Dateien müssen den Zusatz "2.46" im Namen enthalten) Du besitzt nicht alle notwendigen Dateien (z.B. fehlende Def-Datei) Die Dateien sind nicht entpackt Du besitzt nicht alle Map-DLCs von ETS2 Liebe Grüße Polyxena

  26. Hi @Ballistic.Hellcat, Driving for a VTC is great fun if you find the best one for you! The VTC area is located here https://truckersmp.com/vtc and you can browse different VTCs whether they're new or verified etc! To apply they need to be on the Recruitment: Open and then they'll have their own recruitment process. Many with their own websites will do it through there or their discords etc. It's simply a case of reading the correct section that explains how to apply For example, a VTC like Prime Logistics (I'll link them here for credit) hires via their website. So go to their VTC page and follow the instructions there to apply. A lot of VTCs use different systems, so it's all down to finding the one for you and reading the information on there page! Not much time has passed since the last update of American Truck Simulator, and here we are again, excited to offer the community a glimpse of the upcoming version 1.38 improvements, fixes, and new functionality. It will still take at least several weeks before the full 1.38 release, please keep in mind that this is the first raw open beta, very much still a work in progress build. If you want to take it for a spin, you can help contribute by reporting any bugs you may encounter at the appropriate section of our official forums. Your feedback and reports are extremely valuable for our team and we thank you in advance for taking the time to help us out. So, what can you expect to find in the 1.38 Open Beta for ATS? Let's take a closer look! First off, the city of Las Vegas has received a major revamp, which includes new road networks, updates to existing interstate junctions, more detailed scenery, and the inclusion of newer vegetation, terrain textures, and much more! Some of the main changes include new Interstate connection (515), an overhaul to the US-93 junction, and correct positioning of the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' with a new pedestrian island. You can find a more in-depth blog post on the subject which showcases many of the changes found in and around the city. But the best way to see it all is to see the city for yourself! So be sure to make that trip to Nevada and let us know what you think through our social media channels. Las Vegas isn't the only part of the American Truck Simulator world to receive an update in 1.38, one of the more noticeable changes are to Truckstops. From our previous trips to the USA to community feedback, we have learnt a lot about these vital services for drivers. One of the first changes you will notice at Truckstops in ATS is that fuel stations now have lanes with appropriate width for trucks to pull up and refuel in. This is because, in reality, most trucks refuel from both sides and not just from one side like a regular car. We have also implemented (where possible) guidance lines to help drivers line up their trucks to avoid damaging their vehicles upon entry and exit. Plus there is a completely new truck stop placed on the US-111 road now! Aside from the changes related to gas stations and truckers' resting areas, we've also implemented a few more content changes across the map. In this update, you will find that Utah has a new road to drive on, the UT-56, but that's not all! The city of El Centro received a large revamp and we also added the US-191 in Arizona. We also made a few minor changes in preparations for future connection to Colorado in New Mexico's Shiprock and made layout corrections to the nearby US-491. We are also excited to introduce the inclusion of a computer graphics technique for efficiently approximating ambient occlusion effects in real-time. Better known in it's shorter form, SSAO creates shadows in the areas where objects connect, to give it a more natural and believable look in terms of lighting and shadows. So what exactly does this feature mean for our players? To break it down as simply as possible, SSAO adds missing shadows where they should have been and improves shadowing in general. It also improves the look of glossy surfaces (such as paint and chrome). SSAO improves the driving experience and overall visual look of the game, however, this comes with an impact on performance. Technically, it is a post-processing pass on the whole rendered screen at the full internal resolution, so a lot of maths for each pixel. Less powerful GPUs may struggle to keep up at full quality, and with 400% or similarly high scaling selected, even mid-range machines would feel the impact on fps. If you are not happy with framerate after this update, please open the advanced graphics options in the game and try to find the right combination of scaling and SSAO quality for you. With a weaker GPU, it may be advisable to switch off SSAO completely. The easiest way to explain to you the benefits of using SSAO is by showing you a range of comparison images, take a look! Keep an eye or two on our blog because we plan to bring you more info about the SSAO in its own dedicated article soon! We are also excited to introduce a long-requested update to the RGB Color Picker which drivers use to paint their trucks when purchasing or tuning their truck. You now have the option to input specific color inputs (HSV, RGB, and HEX). Also, In addition to saving color preset for just a single color, the color picker now supports saving a preset for all paint job colors at once. This way player can store and easily try paint job color set with other paint jobs. With this feature we also extended number of user kept color swatches from 8 to 40, for your coloring pleasure. We know that many drivers like to match their truck colors the same across their whole fleet, so we hope this feature is useful to you. Hallo Basti, auch ich kann leider zum ersten Teil nicht allzu viel sagen, da ich mich mit Speditionen schon seit geraumer Zeit nicht mehr beschäftigt habe.Aber falls die Situation sich so darstellt, wie geschildert, frage ich mich einfach nur: Warum? Denn mal ehrlich, was hat man im Endeffekt davon!? Das Spiel ansich ist doch von vornherein nicht unbedingt auf Wettkampf ausgelegt. Daher sehe ich wenig Sinn darin, sich etwas darauf einzubilden, in der größten, besten, aktivsten Spedition zu sein. Sich dann auf der Grundlage gegenseitig nichts mehr zu gönnen, kann dann ja auch nicht Sinn und Zweck des ganzen sein. Vor allem, wenn sich das dann auch noch auf die (virtuelle) Straße überträgt. Und damit kommen wir zum zweiten Punkt - dem generellen Umgang miteinander und eventuell fehlender gegenseitiger Rücksichtnahme. Denn das ist etwas, was ich über die letzten Jahre subjektiv schon beobachten konnte. Aber dazu gehören sicherlich mehrere Faktoren. Zum einen steigt mit zunehmender Spielerzahl - heute tummeln sich ja auf einem Server schon so viele Spieler wie zu Anfangszeiten auf 2-3 Servern - das Risiko, das ein oder andere schwarze Schaf dabei zu haben, dass sich der Wirkung seiner eigenen Spielweise auf den Speilspaß anderer nicht bewusst ist. Desweitern, ändert sich aber mit der Zeit mitunter auch die Sichtweise auf die ein oder andere Situation. Was mir früher noch lustig vorkam, kann mich mitunter heute auch mal einfach nur nerven. Aufgrund genau dieser Erkenntnis, habe ich meine eigenes Report-Verhalten unter die Lupe genommen und bin seitdem weitaus zurückhaltender mit Reports geworden. Mittlerweile reporte ich wirklich nur noch Situationen, in denen man Vorsatz oder gröbste Fahrlässigkeit eindeutig erkennen kann. Letztendlich ist das Ganze auch nur ein Spiel, an das jeder seine eigenen Erwartungen hat. Manch einer hat dazu auch nicht unbedingt die Vorkenntnisse über Verkehrsregels und Gebräuchlichkeiten im Straßenverkehr. Daher ist es für uns als Community sicherlich sinnvoller weniger mit dem erhoben Zeigefinger und mehr mit Hinweisen und Ratschlägen zu agieren. Das ist zwar manchmal leichter gesagt als getan, aber mit der Maxime "behandle andere so, wie du auch behandelt werden möchtest" komme ich eigentlich ganz gut klar.   37. There’s quite a few issues but really good so far. FH Tuning Pack (except paint) doesn’t appear. (Even if u have dlc) Engine keeps making starting sounds randomly Horns stop working after a certain number of people are nearby. Genova bridge paint/accessories kick you from server Genova bridge has zero no collision zones They’re all probably reported by now but it’s a good start tbh

  39. With the Operation Genoa Bridge event still ongoing and the bridge nearing completion, you may have noticed that Euro Truck Simulator 2 received a small update on Steam earlier today. Don't worry, we did not release the next update behind your back. It was actually a focused, small but important mini-update that deserves explaining. This 'rebalance package', as we like to call it, contains numerous sound improvements and adjustments. Our SFX team keeps working hard on sound improvements, the sound revolution in the update 1.37, and switch to the FMOD library was a critical junction but not the final destination for them. We received a ton of feedback from our community, and most of these changes come as a response to this input. It is quite possible that you can see further mini-updates in the future, outside of the big "point release" update cycle, as we continue to keep addressing your reports. Today's update carries a few SFX changes such as: Polished sound transitions (e.g. for both loaded and unloaded engine/rpm)Several new sound samples for AI vehiclesOverall re-balanced sounds, and volumesAnd more!As we said at the beginning of the year, we still have a long journey ahead in bringing better and more realistic sounds to our games in general.   40. Some of our more eagle-eyed fans may have spotted, in a recent blog post showcasing our team's home work stations, a small teaser displayed on one of the desktops. Did you spot it? Whenever we manage to find spare capacity, we like to revisit a part of the existing world to improve upon our old work. Often it's a part of the training of a new map design team member. Sometimes, it's a concerted effort by our seniors to raise the quality of a particular location that we get a lot of heat about from the community. In an upcoming 1.38 update, Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world will be receiving a revamp to some of its road networks and surrounding scenery. So what changes can you expect to see? Let's take a closer look! One of the first things drivers might come across upon arriving is a new Interstate connection, which connects the I-15 to the I-11, known as the 515. This important route allows drivers to ultimately avoid driving through the city itself, which we are sure that any trucker with a tight delivery schedule will appreciate. A couple of important interstate junctions have also received an overhaul to their looks and road networks. The US-93 junction now features a more true to life layout; with the new option for drivers to exit and head into the city. The I-15 junction has also received a more up-to-date look to better represent what locals nickname 'The spaghetti bowl', and it's easy to see why! If you do decide to drive down Las Vegas Boulevard, you will see that this road been given a fresh redesign and that (most importantly for tourists), the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign' is in the correct spot! This also features a new pedestrian island, where visitors can park and take a closer look at the world-famous sign. Truckers will also now find a truck stop located in Las Vegas, which has been redesigned to more accurately represent how tractors refuel from both sides of the vehicle. This new design will be eventually rolled out across more truckstops and gas stations in ATS, so keep an eye out for future blog posts talking about this topic! These are just some of the changes that are coming in 1.38 for Las Vegas, however, there are many more changes that are featured in this revamp. From new vegetation to more detailed ground textures and smoother road layouts, we can't wait for you to see it for yourself. Extremely disappointed with 1.37, really hate the sounds, they are horrible and really gonna miss the old Renault Premium and Magnum sounds and horns and the old Scania horns and sounds and all the differeant air horns too all being differeant. Wish they had left the sounds alone. The opening window is an interesting feature but honestly not something I will probably ever use

  44. All official rules are in place during an official TruckersMP event. Although, there are some that are different from the public servers. Be sure to follow these rules when attending an official TruckersMP event. Last updated: 03 Nov 2023 Overtaking - It is not permitted to overtake during a convoy. If you are overtaking, you will be kicked from the server on your first offence. The second offence will be a ban depending on the situation. Cars - Use of cars are prohibited during any convoys organised by TruckersMP as they are reserved for staff. The only cars you will see during a convoy will be either Game Moderators or the Event Team. If you are caught using a car during an event, you will be kicked from the server. Repeated offences may result in a ban for the duration of the event. Reckless Driving - Please ensure that you are keeping a safe distance from the player in front of you, to ensure you can stop safely. There will be Game Moderators watching over the event, making sure that participants are acting appropriately. Free-roam - Roaming throughout the server and not following the event is not allowed. You must be participating with the convoy, or in the surrounding areas. Failure to comply will result in removal from the event server. Convoy Control - You must follow convoy control instructions given by the TruckersMP team. They are there to ensure that everyone is driving in the correct direction and alert you of upcoming hazards. You can identify them by their coloured usernames and in-game tag! They will be driving a police car. Their instructions must be followed at all times, otherwise, you will be removed from the event server. Signs and barriers - You must adhere to any overhead signs (Including the "Red X"), directional arrows, barriers and any other object placed down on the road. You must not drive around them and/or ignore them as they are placed to ensure your smooth passage at our events. Trailers - Unless explicitly stated otherwise, a trailer is required to participate in our convoy's. For Euro Truck Simulator 2; you should not exceed two (2) trailers. For American Truck Simulator; you should not exceed two (2) trailers with the exemption of the base triple. Heavy Haul cargo is not permitted for either game (empty trailers are permitted so long as you are not causing a gap). If your trailer is causing gaps in the convoy, you may have to pull over or teleport to the Services. Traffic Signals - The convoy will have priority over traffic signals. It is not required for convoy participants to stop at red traffic signals, or yield at junctions unless directed otherwise. The event servers are only online for the duration of the event, they are not available 24/7.
