rickysocial
I use automatic just due to the fact that i don't have a wheel yet, i don't see the point of gears unless you have a wheel to be honest. However i do believe they bring more realism to the sim.

~ Xris Aurora ~
Sometimes manual, sometimes auto, depending on mood and where I'm heading to.. As for example, on busy roads like C-D I'd rather keep it on auto so I don't have to worry about switching gears , but just paying attention to what happens around me and avoiding collisions. Cbrady40 [G29]
I use manual with the g29 h shifter for all vehicles in ETS2 and ATS besides the Skoda where I use the h shifter for real auto. I find myself more involved in the game and more fun with manual...except in stop and go traffic it can get a tad annoying I usually take the gearbox that has the most gears unless the rpm at cruising speed is too high...So usually 12/12+2/16 in ETS2 and 18 in ATS
Moh_
Real Automatic with realistic adaptive transmission enabled, with a key for switching to sequential and gear hints enabled. Pressing the hint down key will drop a gear, and pressing the hint up will go up a gear, usually used to maintain speed or to stop the gearbox from constantly changing gears (looking at you, Volvo). Mostly drive in automatic mode, though I often switch to sequential and drop to a lower gear when I'm going up a hill/rough terrain in order to maintain speed. MikeOG
Full manual h shifter. I still gotta get trackir to complete my sim setup. Banned, what do I do now | | Rules | Save Editing - Am I allowed?
ShadowWolf2k7
i use sequential with the 18 speed transmissions. better gear ratio, and has the best hauling power. the 10 and 13 speed transmissions, to me, are just horrible to use.
Killua // Ireland ^_^
I use simple auto, I use a keyboard so simple auto goes well with that I hate gear changing (even in real life) I want to get an auto in real life too cause I hate manual

Asatelon
To shift I am using my G29's H-Shifter which clutch. I am using the Advanced shifting mode. Also, mostly I am using a 12-gear gearbox as well as the LED's on my steering wheel which is an external program. This program is called Final LED. Steel Driver
Manual Sequential for me. Gear control is crucial when I'm in the alps, or otherwise in any area with a steep slope. I also grew up using stick (manual), so I perfer it. While we're on the subject, could I get a recommendation for what wheel/shifter I should get? Thanks! Suleyman.53
Sequential gear is always my choice. it's much more comfortable in heavy loads. Automatic gear can be very challenging sometimes. In particular, the automatic gear is sometimes unstable. My preference is manual gears.
