  4. Greetings! For two months, many of you have patiently anticipated our compatibility support for the latest versions of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. With lots of the backend code drastically changing in the games, it has certainly been a challenge for our developers. However, we are delighted to announce that TruckersMP now supports 1.38! You can find more information on our update at the Changelog forum topic. What will this compatibility update include? In anticipation of some popular questions, we have prepared a list outlining what is included in our latest update: Euro Truck Simulator 2 (1.38.1.3s) American Truck Simulator (1.38.1.22s) ProMods 2.50 Idaho DLC support (including No Collision Zones, where applicable) World of Trucks Idaho event paint jobs support Removed New Summer weather modification (Autumn weather modification is scheduled to be added later in the month) No Collision Zones for new Dealership prefabs. Known outstanding issues Sounds not working correctly in high traffic density (although, noticeable improvements have been made) Broken Volvo CB Radio in Euro Truck Simulator 2 Horn sounds play for too long when pressed (this is an issue present in Single Player, therefore, TruckersMP cannot fix this).   5. I can not explain you how it is possible because I don't know it ? But just consider that the server is mainly synchronizing other players location and truck. That's it. Other players saw my truck and I could see other players. Of course, areas that have been reworked in 1.38 look like 1.38 to me but not to the others. Therefore, I could see players driving through the ground, building etc. In the livestream, we were only driving on roads that have not been updated. Sounds have been improved but horns are still buggy. Today, I couldn't hear any horn - yesterday, it was playing for 3 seconds We are looking into these little bugs and hope to have them fixed by the final release. But maybe you will need to live without horns for now - I am pretty sure you can survive that

  10. So let me explain a bit. First of all, support for 1.38 takes so long because in the engine of ETS2/ATS huge changes have been made. Basically SCS merged two modules of their engine into one. Though I am on good way of getting support done within few days I think. Switching from 1.37 to 1.38 in multiplayer sounds really easy for someone who just plays this game. It is only switching two numbers, right? But: TruckersMP project has really tough architecture bases. We read and write data(memory) from/to engine. In order to be able to do that we need to have proper memory layout defined in our code. Since we do not have access to source code of the game, we need to kinda duplicate how it looks in source code at SCS. Though that is not easy task if you don't have direct access to that code. Really often it must be done by Reverse Engineering. You look at compiled source code, and trying to understand what it does, what it modifies, what it reads, etc. You can also guess basing on given data what are given variables (what are their names, what they mean). And you need to be very very precise in guessing. Any mismatch in data layout might lead to game crash. Also to make everything a bit simpler we use already defined functions which operate on data from the game. Though you must be very precise in terms of what data you put as parameters to such functions. Again any mismatch may lead to game crash, and it might be crash that is hard to trace. Because for example it is memory stomp (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_corruption). And there is really nothing you can do about it. Only getting PDB (debug symbols) file from SCS or source code access could speed up porting process. There is huge field to do in terms of ensuring many things on our side, but this will only help us with stability. If SCS changes code, then always we need to adjust our code to follow changes. So only that part makes development hard (working with prism engine). But consider this: SCS Software has full access to source code, and they haven't built multiplayer yet. Why? That is second part of the problem: engine & gameplay & network programming. To provide good mulitplayer you need to prepare stable systems. It is not really only about writing code. You need to provide design of systems - communication between systems - you need to couple somehow rendering, physics, gameplay, replication, sounds, AI, animations, vehicles simulation and more. More read here: http://ce.eng.usc.ac.ir/files/1511334027376.pdf Especially section : 1.6.14 Online Multiplayer/Networking Singleplayer games are already hard to create. Multiplayer additionally must serve gameplay with replicated objects with possible high latency, you need to take care of backend & security, etc. etc. I have seen something about hiring somebody full-time to do TruckersMP. So keep in mind what I wrote in previous paragraph + we need someone who knows C++ (very very good) / Assembler (good) / Reverse Engineering (very good) / Game Engines overall / Specific Systems - Gameplay & Replication deeply. Finding someone with that knowledge in ETS2 environment / simulation game is really very hard. First problem is that somebody with that knowledge usually goes working to big companies as they pay quite good, and provide good working conditions. Or such person just starts his own business as he knows what he does. Though situation is better now. We have ShawnCZek now, who is able to write some game code. And we have now stable solutions in terms of cowork on the same project. Standard DevOps is set on TruckersMP which makes simpler making experimental builds, code is build everytime when pushed to repository, we have full pipeline. And last thing is my job at CD Projekt RED. I started my job in February 2019. Consider this: we started Patreon in October 2019. Before Patreon my only income from TruckersMP were advertisements. And that wasn't good income. Now with Patreon it is better, but I work on this project already 7 years. If Patreon income will be constant/rising then I can think of getting back to TruckersMP full time. But for now it must stay as it is. I cannot just leave my current job for now.

  16. 1.38 Development Update - Testing In Progress We have some exciting news, as we are happy to confirm our developers has made significant progress in the 1.38 porting process. We have now reached the testing stage! This means our team of 180+ will be running the latest build of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator (1.38) to check for bugs, and reporting them to the developers. Depending on the outcome of testing, the community can expect a release very, very soon. Stay tuned for more information. ?

  17. My Suggestion is an Application Cooldown My Suggestion is that we put a cooldown on people to keep them from going from one VTC to the next in a matter of minuets. This add on should be added for these reasons. We all have members who hop from one VTC to the next, sometimes more than 1 a day. My thought is this, is there a way to make a cooldown to where people can't just hop from one VTC to the next in a matter of minuets. Make it so that people have a 24 hour or more cooldown before they can even put an application in to join another VTC. It would be a help due to the fact people aren't just goin to hop around lookin for people to play/chat with then hop to another when everyone else is done and goes to do real life stuff. I have seen it happen in with a few people lately and I don't know if this is a new thing where they just hop around to troll or to get info for the next one or their own or whatever.

  19. Salut les amis, J'espère que vous allez bien Je me présente à vous aujourd'hui car j'ai pris la décision de me lancer sur youtube en effectuant des vidéos sur ETS2 puis TMP ensuite. En effet, je me suis initié dans la peau d'un jeune créateur d'entreprise dans le domaine du transport, je commence donc par gagner de l'argent en conduisant des marchandises d'un point A vers un point B pour un patron, ensuite, dès lors que j'aurais assez d'argent pour m'acheter un camion sympathique je rejoindrais le multijoueur pour continuer cette magnifique aventure de création d'entreprise ! Je pense que nous pourrions également jouer ensemble dans le futur pourquoi pas ? Me lancer n'est pas chose facile, je dois faire face aux difficultés des montages, et surtout de ma connexion qui se fiche littéralement de moi lors ce qu'il sagit d'envoyer quelque chose ( ~600kb/s en envoi ? ) J'aurais donc besoin de votre soutien et de vos critiques dans le but de m'améliorer, et pourquoi pas rejoindre ensemble cette fabuleuse aventure ! Je vous remercie du temps que vous avez mis à lire ce post et après lecture du règlement je n'ai rien lu concernant youtube donc je pense que c'est toléré d'en parler ici, au cas contraire, chers modérateurs je m'excuse au plus profond et je m'engage à retirer ce post.   21. Hello The most preferred server of the players is EU-1 and the traffic density on this server is usually in the cities of Calais and Duisburg. The Calais-Duisburg route is also quite crowded. However, other routes have few or no players. Sometimes I do not meet anyone even on roads without DLC zone. In such cases, driving a truck on an empty road can be boring. Of course, every player is free to drive a truck any route they want. However, there are many routes in the game, just like the Calais-Duisburg road. For example: Zurich-Milan road, Munich-Innsbruck road, Salzburg-Klagenfurt road, Frankfurt-Prague road, Szczecin-Brno road. Cele mai vizibile schimbări au fost făcute la capitolele 2 și 3 (What we collect și What we disclose). What we collect (Ce colectăm) Acest capitol a fost actualizat pentru a arăta mai bine ce fel de date sunt stocate pentru fiecare sistem, de asemenea pentru a include cum acele date sunt folosite și pentru cât timp sunt stocate. Informația ce a fost adăugată include log data (gameplay, chat și server), crash reports, tichete support, utilizarea site-ului, rapoarte, appealuri, cereri de event, feedback, evidente de ban, Virtual Trucking Companies, recrutări TruckersMP, utilizarea forumului și Contribuitori ai comunității. Pe lângă asta, au fost făcute niște ajustări minore la informațiile deja existente. I want to thank you and the whole Developement-Team, PM, PO for their time making this amazing Multiplayer possible. Also to the rest of the team like GM, CM, Support, Media, etc. - It must be really a hard work - but also good work tho. Thank you all doing your job good in here and also thanks mwl4 for creating ETS2MP aka. TruckersMP. To be honest, at my very very beginning times, I thought World of Trucks is the "online mode" - but it wasn't ?, after a while playing this I googled a bit and TruckersMP was the first result on Google. I'd gave it a try and here I am. Basically since 2017, but my idiotic brain meant to delete my account in 2019 - but that's another story. Anyway, good job to all and let's continue to support you all. But it's nice to read the Update will be ready soon Greets, Bailey

Heb je altijd al willen weten hoe TruckersMP georganiseerd is, hoe specifieke features gepland en geïmplementeerd zijn, welke rollen precies welke taken hebben, enzovoort. Het maakt niet uit wat je vraag is, we zullen al je vragen beantwoorden (mits deze aan onderstaande voorwaarden voldoet)! Hoe kun je meedoen? De vragen die je stelt zullen terecht komen bij de leden van de TruckersMP upper staff. Dit zijn de managers van de teams waaruit het TruckersMP team is opgebouwd. Je kunt vragen wat je wilt, maar je vraag moet wel aan enkele voorwaarden voldoen: Alle TruckersMP regels zijn van toepassing; Alle vragen moeten in het Engels gesteld worden. Vragen in vreemde talen worden niet in behandeling genomen; Indien je een vraag stelt aan een specifiek teamlid, vermeld diens naam dan in de titel.   38. Can we possibly get another update on the progress as it’s been 2 months since the release of 1.38. It was released for ets2 on the July 21st and and 14th of July for ats. surely it shouldn’t take that long. (Especially when the major part of 1.38 update was sounds, which I’m pretty sure are a client sided thing)
