Announcement coming before Christmas......

I will be making an announcement about me - Rescue193uk - and my future as twitch streamer.  Will it be good news or will it be not so good news?  You will have to wait for a couple of days to find out

I hope all are well and  injuries are superficial/minimal due to the recent fire which has occurred.  Thoughts and prayers to all involved and a big thank you to all who have kept TruckersMP players and staff updated.

 

WHY??????

 

Since I left TMP both as official streamer and staff member, there have been rumours flying around as why I left.  It would of course be inappropriate for me to go into the reason(s) for my departure, however I will say that I gave it considerable thought before making the final decision.

 

I could have done it a number of ways, including live on stream, but that would have been unprofessional and some would even go as far as saying - "sensationalist".  Sometimes, it is best to leave quietly and unobtrusively, rather than with a loud BANG!!!!!

I am acutely aware that my decision has disappointed the vast majority of those who watched me on the TMP Official twitch channel, however it was for the best and I am sure managers within TMP will not mind me saying, that a door has been left ajar should I wish to return.  

I also gave some time before I decided in writing this on my forum profile as I wanted to let the dust settle and an objective and constructive statement from me personally be given & seen by those who wish to view it.  The TMP is a community that I am still in touch with be it on the roads of TMP, via their partners like TFM and events such as the Rescue Run I am organising in October.  That all being said, I am giving TMP a bit of a break at the moment and exploring other & concentrating on others.

Had a wonderful time on the March TruckersFM convoy this evening and great fun streaming it.  It was a brilliantly arranged and executed  So a massive shout out and thank you to all concerned.

 

Here is a little memento of the evening.

 

Merry Christmas to all staff in all departments/teams who have worked tirelessly over the past 12 months in making TMP the awesome place that it is.  They have worked so hard to continue to bring us the fun and enjoyment we all know love.  There have of course been many updates that made life challenging at times, TMP has come through and kept things going.  Massive thanks to you all.  Have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2021.

A  brief synopsis of the TMP staff convoy from the Streamers perspective. The stream went live on time at 5.30pm and I took a brief dev cam look around Bern and the staff in their amazing liveried trucks.

 

We set off just about on time and I was full of trepidation and gentle excitement as I set off out of Eurogoodies.   I negotiated the left hand turn and moseyed on down the straight road to the next T-junction, talking and entertaining chat before turning RIGHT.   It was at this point I looked at my sat nav (I had 2) & to my horror realised I had just gone the wrong way.  To make things worse, I was being followed by Krewlex lol.

 

Fortunately I noticed a break in the central reservation barrier so I did a quick U-ie, followed by the others.  I was really embarrassed but I managed to eventually catch up to the front of the pack.  

The rest of the convoy was very enjoyable and as it was my 1st staff convoy I really enjoyed it.

 

A great stream today on my own twitch channel.  A drive or two on Promods.  As a Trucky Ambassador, I have the honour and privilege of testing updates and developments.  One issue that was causing Trucky not to load when TMP was loaded, was an issue with Overwolf.  I was then asked to test the update the lead Dev did to see if issue was rectified.  

I have been testing it for a few days now and it appears stable.  I do NOT know when an update will be released to stop this occurrence however I can say that i have had no issues with Trucky Overlay not loading when TMP is launced.

I thought that is was time I put something back into TruckersMP.  I have enjoyed playing TMP and it has in some cases stopped me doing some silly things in the past. 

I have now become a Patreon and hope that my small monthly contribution helps TMP in the future. 

 

It is time for another Rescue Roundup lol.  So after a few months of not playing TMP or trucking in general, I have found a new lease of life with Trucking.  After being in @Replay__stream just over a month ago and generally chatting, I took the plunge and applied to BVAR VTC which Replay is CEO.  I have know BVAR and Replay for sometime - I am a twitch mod for his stream and I have had the pleasure of meeting Replay at i65.  I have found BVAR VTC to be a very friendly and fun based vtc and was amazed that after just one month of being with them, that I was jointly awarded ETS Driver of the month!!

I now have a couple of ambitions/goals for myself, which is something I have never done.  So what are they I hear you cry lol.  I would like to go back to the TMP stream team, not as official streamer, but I would like to help them with their community moderation on the TruckersMP official twitch channel.  The second goal is to eventually become a member of the TMP Event Team.  This is a longer term goal as I need to get some experience on events.  I have a very small amount of experience, however I do intend to get more skills and practice at this.

I like to be open and honest about me to you the community - sometimes a bit to much, but that is just me.  Some of you maybe aware that in March 2022 I was infected with the dreaded Corona Virus.  I was clear after 10 days, however I went onto have long covid.  This has now, after medical investigations, shown that I have LVH or Left Ventricle Hypertension - or high blood pressure in the lungs.  This in turn, has potentially damaged my heart.  I will know more soon as I am going for a heart scan tomorrow.  I have had lots of blood tests as well and may need to go for further tests, such as stress tests of my heart depending on the results of my heart scan.

Whatever the outcomes, I am going to have to slow down and may even have to be signed off work permanently, which will give me more time to focus on TMP work if I am taken on when recruitments are open again and I submit applications
