  2. Hai, Thinking about your problems and having the rough times you have been through stuck in your mind, will make you drown in it. It is likely to create more frustration and a sense of helplessness and hopelessness that will increase your sadness and bring you bad thoughts. Heads up! Let it go! A very inflated balloon can pop at any time.

  3. Hey, for those who think nothing has changed since the update, here's the scoop: We've scaled down the report system load from Heavy to High (just a reminder, there's a Very High status in between). Back in the Heavy days, it took an average of 12 days to get a response on a website report. But now, we've got it down to 8 days and it's still improving. About those comments concerning the in-game report view rate after the announcement, remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. This has been an issue for years, and one change won't do a complete 180. Change takes time.

  5. What is more ironic in this topic is the small amount of people who are heavily criticising this are the ones who do not have activity at all in game and talking about gameplay experience Also the big problem here is, which a lot of people seem to be missing out and quickly jumping on the bandwagon, is that BIG changes take time for you to see the real difference this has made. The report decrease and the reduction of days allowed to report someone are mitigators and will all play into a bigger role with new changes in the near future. Another few points that were raised here, was that of course you are going to see a massive influx of activity over the summer period, and reports spiking up and the possibility of less Game Moderators/Report Moderators due to holidays and so forth. Let time do it's thing, and let's stop jumping to conclusions before you are able to see results.

  10. Greetings players, Over the last few years, our core game moderation strategy has remained largely the same, with reports being taken both in-game, and also through our dedicated website report system. This has been with the pledge that every website report will be handled, which in doing so, takes up a lot of resources. Arguably, this has led to many web reports being generated - 53,934 in Q2 of 2023 - and time being focussed on processing these instances, rather than spending time in-game, looking at the game report system, and rule violations that are occurring in real-time. Additionally, these website reports come with the added complexity that evidence is not always of the best quality, or in line with our reporting rules, found under section §1.4 here. Furthermore, the fact that every website report will be reviewed at some point has led to a toxic, ‘rec-ban-culture’ forming, where some players make it their mission to report every single rule violation they may come across, no matter how small or trivial, even when it doesn’t impact on their experience majorly. Again, a large portion of time is spent dealing with these reports by our team, some of which involve incidents that occurred weeks ago. This puts undue pressure on our system, and leads to genuine reports being delayed, with perpetrators being able to continue in-game - you can see how a cycle can begin to form, where serious instances are piling up, due to dealing with these trivial reports, and time is detracted from being in-game. TruckersMP aims to stay true to our players, making changes that enhance the gameplay experience. Ultimately this is a game, and there has to be an understanding that there are instances when a simple mistake may be made, not requiring further action. We believe that allowing our moderators to focus more of their time and resources towards being in-game brings a multitude of benefits, such as increased community interaction, visible presence and also the ability to utilise on-the-spot tools, such as teleporting or kicking a player, which can prevent or deal with incidents, without having to resort to banning a player. At the moment we are very responsive, rather than proactive in our moderation. In order to make this transition, we are implementing some changes to the way that we handle reports that are made through the website system. This will begin with the maximum number of website reports a user can create being capped at ten. This is because we’ve found that this hits the balance between the need to report genuinely disruptive or inappropriate behaviour, compared with misusing the system and reporting a multitude of trivial rule violations. Reports will continue to be scored, and those who continue to make reports that do not meet the reporting rules will eventually be left in a situation where they may only create one report. In addition, the reporting window on the website has been reduced from fourteen days to seven, once again to ensure reports are relevant, and it is the serious issues being passed onto us, through that system. We’re trying hard to put a stop to the attitude some players take, being against one another, reporting for very minor things. Equally however, we still intend to deal with those who cause serious issues in-game, that impacts upon players severely, with stringent moderation actions. As touched upon before, it is our hope to be able to be more proactive, focussing our efforts on the here and now, in the game itself. On an additional note, we have also introduced a system to anonymise our moderation. This means when you are banned or have a report handled, you will not see the name of the moderator who issued a punishment. This aims to reduce the abuse and harassment that unfortunately some of our team have to endure, when they issue punishments in-game. You will still be able to discuss with this moderator in your appeal, but they will just remain anonymous. We hope that you can see the vision here, and share our thoughts on wanting to make improvements with the way that reports are handled. If you do have any feedback, you can contact Game Moderation Management, by creating a feedback ticket here. Keep safe, and see you out on the roads! --> View post on homepage

  11. It seems you didn't read or didn't understand my post. The TruckersMP team can't define if and to what extent a player's game experience has been compromised. An inicident that one player regards as minor might be regarded as major by another player. By defining the severity of an incident on player's game experience, the TruckersMP team disrespects a player's legitime concern and makes the outcome of a valid report look like gambling for the sympathy of the (now anonymized) report moderator.

So, I do not see where this is coming from. The other statements present a false misrepresentation, and definitely not the case and can be misleading to the wider public with comments such as these

  23. Suggestion Name: Placing service garages on main roads Suggestion Description: We perform long jobs that last many hours. During these jobs, we travel between many roads, including main roads, and there is no city nearby where we can stop to repair the truck if it suffers any damage during the job. The idea is to place a number of service garages at gas stations and large sleeping stations (so that it will not be a problem of congestion and/or space) on main roads. Any example images: -Imagine the red icon at a gas station / sleeping on a main road- Why should it be added?: As I wrote above, if I now do a 32-hour job, most of the time I don't enter urban areas at all, but only drive on main roads, and I don't want to spend 3,000 euros to teleport to a repair station (which, by the way, will probably extend my job by a few hours and send me back ). There is no reason for me to continue driving with X amount of damage to my truck for 12 hours left in my job and endanger other drivers when I can make a small stop that won't cost me significantly in hours and money, repair the damage quickly, fill up on gas and get some sleep on the way and continue driving normally direct.

  34. Because they somehow thought that overlooking most of the offences somehow magically causes toxicity and hostility from their servers to disappear. They don't want to ban people, because they don't have that many players. They somehow frorgot that most people will do what they are allowed to do, so what is the only logical result of softening of the rules and punishments and further limiting of reports? If you guessed more toxicity and hostility, you were right. But them player numbers sure look pretty, right?

  35. THIS!! Removing the 5 Bans within 12 months = a Perm Ban was the wrong direction, If people have managed to get so many Bans they are simply never going to start following the rules TMP set out. I am really not surprised the report load is currently high, It does feel like Driver standards are slipping and not just on the CD Road and i strongly feel that is partly down to the weak punishments handed out, I play ETS2 most evenings (Peak Time) and if i am not crashed into i have done well. (Includes days i dont end up near CD)

  36. While i understand what the team is going through in terms of web reports, there needs to be more in game moderators to deal with the mess that is CD Road. Resources need to go to improving it. The rec-ban culture has been around since day 1. Only difference is, CD's popularity made it thrive. The only way to get rid of it, is to return the game to its roots. Encourage convoy's. Reward bonuses for those who try. Higher fines for those who treat this like an Arcade Racing Game. More Real OPS.

  37. Maybe instead of trying to deal with the symptoms - being the incredibly high amount of low-quality reports - you should be focusing on the cause - all the players you have unbanned and have run rampant causing more mayhem than before. If there is no permanent ban for history any more, why should they care? They'll just get unbanned anyway and continue in three months. Re-introducing perma-bans for history is the only way I can see your report system not being crippled any longer.
