  5. I see some hasty conclusions based on assumptions. If it's not clear from the blog, in the community survey, we observed certain trends but the analysis of thousands of written feedback was performed through generalised text analysis, hence we couldn't quantify those sentiments well. Thus, we do know which trends are present within the community, but we can't accurately gauge how the "community" collectively thinks about them. Additionally, much of the feedback was general, while some topics (such as game moderation or speed limits) consist of many facets. With the surveys this month, we are trying to delve deeper into the matter and get a better picture. We will then take the results into consideration. Furthermore, a majority of the community supports the values and focus on simulation (78%), and the setup of our current simulation servers is the most popular (66%), so there's no sudden lack of importance of simulation within the community. I recommend participating in the surveys; only in that way can we get a good sense of opinions. Not doing so and then complaining that your opinion is not heard is nothing more than a self-fulfilling prophecy.

  7. I think there would be problems if I worded it the way I would have liked...., but fine. So I would be for permanent speed limit of 90 km/h on our server. This game is viewed by many players as if it were Forza or GTA Online. Many of these players think they can ignore the rules because they "don't give a shit" about the traffic rules and in the end it's these people who cry when they get banned. Finally, they try to get their bans lifted with appeals and feedback ticket even though they know very well that it won't do any good. If you want to drive fast, then you should either not play ETS2MP or you simply play Forza, GTA5, etc. I would simply be in favor that we regulate the speed on all servers to a maximum of 90 km/h and on the "Arcade" the speed remains at 150 km/h + no collision. The people who have to decide it in the end probably don't want this because I think they are afraid to lose all the players. I mean what for do we have an extra "Arcade" server with no collision + speed up to well over 150km/h+. That we will raise the servers to +150 km/h again, won't happen believe me. We have seen in the past what can and will happen. What would interest me, though, is what kind of results come out of all these surveys..... The other question is whether or not they are ever published. I think for many of us such results are interesting. But well, we'll see what MP makes of it.

  8. Hardcore sim players are totally aware that they are minority in this community, yet they still want to force majority to play the game just like them, but why? There are two different ways to play the game - simulation and arcade style. By default this game is a simulator, however you can turn it into an arcade by disabling speed limit, fines and many other simulation options, game developers gave us that opportunity. By playing any of two styles you're playing the game in the intended/correct way. So, dear simmers, claiming that "arcade = NFS = improper way to play the game" is simply a false statement. Looking forward for "server configuration survey", hopefully majority will be heard and long waited changes will finally come.

  11. I don't suppose you have any experience in hosting convoys and/or being part of the event CC team. In every convoy I attended, either by TruckersMP or by VTC's, the convoy lead has always followed the speedlimit. In fact, the convoy lead is usually driving way lower than the speedlimit when the convoy departs to ensure the gaps are minimal. A convoy of 120+ people takes a while to leave the city. After everybody has finally left the city the convoy lead will usually speed up to about 60 or 80 KPH. I have never in my life seen a convoy lead driving anything higher than 90 KPH. If you are near the front of the convoy then your problem does not even exist. Because of the amount of people involved in a convoy, gaps are inevitable. People driving 150 is purely because gaps are created and they want to fill the gaps. Forcing everybody to a limit of 90 KPH would add time to the convoy. And I am talking about hours of time. Not to mention that it isn't really a convoy anymore at that point. Just small groups of people spread far apart from each other. Making the convoy shorter just decreases the quality. If you are in front then it will be over in 30 minutes. If you are near the tail then it will take a bit longer, but you are still only seperated in your own group of people and not part of a convoy. EDIT: (not related to what I wrote above) Also what is this all this talk about Sim1 changing to 150? Or bringing EU2 back? Just because 1 out of the 3 surveys mentions server configuration? That could mean enabling/disabling cars, save-edits, the application of NCZ areas... It doesn't mean that for a fact TruckersMP wants to turn this into a racing sim...

  12. @FernandoCR [ESP] @Foobrother I still don't see a logical answer as to what would change from the current limit to "tryhards sim" when it doesn't affect them at all. Mystery. The limit of 110 has been there for a lifetime yet you are all still here after so many years. By the same logic you shouldn't play single player either, as you can reach a higher speed than anything achievable in TMP I've played for a while in the past off c-d, haven't found any reckless players or had any crashes in 2/3 months. What you say practically happens only in c-d, so even a possible change of the limit doesn't affect you in the least. Why don't you go complain to SCS on single player where you can go faster than any speed achievable in TMP? What happened in the past to the server with limit 90? it failed for the few players. However loud you try to complain, going down that road makes no sense. For the playerbase that has TMP, road to simulation never made sense to me.

  13. Our teams are currently very busy with the upcoming 1.47 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and we are glad that today we are able to take a more detailed look at one of the new features arriving with this update - purchasable livestock trailers! Players familiar with this type of trailer in American Truck Simulator might already be a bit ahead in regards to what makes this addition so special, but to bring everyone up to speed, you will have an opportunity to transport cattle in your very own trailer ETS2! In addition to having different body and chassis customizations, here is a detailed list of everything else you will be able to tweak: Left/right/front/rear bodyMarkersSide protection plates/boxesRear fendersRear bumpersRear mudflaps We can’t wait for you to start exploring the roads of Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the brand-new livestock trailer. If you wish to stay in touch with all the news about the 1.47 update, make sure to follow our social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and you will never miss anything important. We’ll share with you some more plans with this update soon!View the full article

  15. Yes, we are well aware of that fact, we have been mostly driven off from TMP and with official multiplayer there is no reason to come back. However, we do not want to force anyone to play the game like we do, we do not claim which way of playing the game is correct, so please stop trying to put your own words in our mouths. All we ever wanted was a real simulation server, with real simulation rules, yet, after four years of "road to simualtion" there is no such thing, quite the opposite, instead it seems that road will lead nowhere. That is completely understandable, with sim player numbers on TMP servers shrinking over the years to near extinction, a server like that wouldn't be economically feasible anymore. To survive, TMP has to listen to the majority that it attracts for obvious reasons and try something else, after removing §2.8 perma bans didn't work out, right? The next steps of softening the rules and removing speed limits will surely attract so many new valuable players and will change TMP to ultimate trucking experience it has always been striving for. Well, if that happens, it's time to move on, nothing to keep me here anymore. "We" lose, and "they" will finally get what they wanted and deserved. And so will TruckersMP. I will be waiting for the results of the surveys and their impact before I make any decisions.

  16. Hardcore arcade players are (or should be) totally aware that there are ARCADE servers, yet they refuse to use them and still want to force the SIMULATION servers to have higher speed limits. There are 2 styles, there are 2 kinds of servers, one for each style. It's up to each one what server they want to use. So, dear arcaders, claiming that "simmers want to force majority to play the game just like them" is simply a false statement. Wait... I forgot... Need For Speed has another "arcade feature"... Crash into other vehicles to get rid of them without being punished... Now I understand

  20. I wasn't talking about the current survey, but about what's been said in the blog post: Dissatisfaction about the game moderation, from who? From those who have been banned because they can't (or don't want to) drive properly. Complaints about the Simulation server configuration, particularly in regards to the speed limits, from who? From those who want to drive as if TMP were NFS. Sadly, this kind of players seem to be the majority of the playerbase. This, added to some comments I've read in Discord (from people in the "users panel"), is what makes me fear that the speed limits will be changed, and not to lower ones, obviously. Surveys, feedbacks, will always play in favor of the majority.

  21. I wouldn't say that this is the beginning of the end. I'll fight to make sure it is still a simulation like game, but banning people 2-4 weeks for 1 incident may be a bit extreme. If anything, I feel the point of this survey is to make sure the players feel the same before any changes are made.

  22. I fear that this is the "beginning of the end" for road to simulation and that soon enough we will have (again) players driving ETRC style, only on Simulation 1 server's highways instead of closed racing tracks... Good thing that last months I've been spending more time in single player than in TruckersMP servers, but sad that I won't miss it much if (or when) I decide to leave for good.

  23. This is an intermediate level guide. While you read this, I assume you know how to find, decrypt, and backup your files, and that you can find the location of the vehicles you want to work on within the sii file. If you don't, please refer to the save editing tutorials for the basics. So there's adding and there's taking things off. Some of the stuff you can take off, others you can't. SCS mechanism crashes the game if you take certain things off, plus you become a danger on the MP servers if you take certain other things off. In this post I'll tell you what must remain and what I recommend to remain on your truck so that it's drivable and visible on the roads. For trucks, these paths if removed will crash your game. The file names are self explanatory. data.sii chassis/xxx.sii cabin/xxx.sii engine/xxx.sii transmission/xxx.sii interior/xxx.sii paint_job/xxx.sii You can replace any of these stuff with the corresponding paths from other trucks, but they must be present for the game to work. tire/x.sii: these are a bit different. For the wheels you can remove all the nuts, hubs, and discs. That will give you a nice black hole inside your tires like below. But when you remove the tires, the game will automatically give you a set of default tires and rims, destroying the purpose of the parts removal. Putting trailer tires on trucks gives you the default truck tires without affecting rim parts. steering_w(heel): these can be edited out from the interior without issues, but remains visible for some vehicles if viewed from the outside. License plates: just get rid of the content in the line, and put a single letter or whatever in there, then reload the game, the plates should be gone. This only works on the vehicle(and trailer) you are currently driving, as switching vehicles from garages will re-apply a default license plate. So every time you change to a different vehicle, you need to save edit again to remove the license plate. These paths I would recommend keeping for safety reasons: head_light/xxx.sii (headlights, the front turn signals are always incorporated in them as of when this is written) mirror/xxx.sii (side mirrors, if these are removed your F2 mirrors also will not work, so keep them for safety) If your headlights and taillights are removable/modifiable: f_light_chs/xxx.sii (the 'casing' of the headlights used in Scania models. If you use a bare Scania chassis without these, you will not have headlights even if you include head_light) r_bumper/xxx.sii or r_fender/xxx.sii (Choose one for most models, not needed for others. The tail lights for most models are incorporated in either the rear fender or bumper, depending on the truck model where your chassis of choice comes from. Trucks with tuning DLCs usually have tail lights in the bumpers. If it's one of the oldest trucks in the game where you can't change the lights in the configurator, like the iveco stralis, then no need for bumper or fender, just keep the chassis as the tail lights are a part of it.) This also works on cars and buses. Just refer to the names I listed above, they are consistent across all models because the game requires these exact path names. In theory, you are free to remove everything that's not mentioned above, and you can end up with a monster truck running on tires without rims and it has a massive hole in where the radiator used to be. The lowest you should go is generally 10-12 accessories per vehicle. But it can be used for good causes as well, for example you have a double grill covering each other after mismatching your cabin and chassis through save editing, you can get rid of one of them by removing a few lines in your save file. Or if a passenger door mirror is redundant and ugly but you can't get rid of it directly from the truck configurator, now you know how. For example, here's what's left of a pilot car and a bus after a complete strip-down. For the car, the mirror is gone but the turn signal remained. Note the lack of interior texture and the floating driver inside the bus, after removing the driver's chair. Caveats on the bus: You can remove the seats and interior display screens and effectively have no interior in the entire bus. However, the interior path itself in your save file must be present, it just covers the dashboard for the driver. You can remove the wheel discs, hubs, and nuts, but the wheel texture will remain. The bus rim texture is a part of the tires, so you cannot have black holes on your bus wheels. The doors cannot be edited away because they are technically 'windows', which is a part of the cabin. For trailers: Must keep: data, chassis, body, paint_job, tire. Recommended: r_bumper (contains tail lights, you need to be visible). When you add stuff on from other trucks, I would recommend testing first on single player, make sure you do not alter your vehicle's hitbox. Check all the lights, interior, mirrors in good working condition and nothing is clipping. In general, mod your vehicles responsibly and at your own risk. Hope this helps

  28. Hello there! You can report a user and point out in the report that the player has broken "X" rule. But the Moderators, when we watch the video, we have the ability to define which rule has broken the player you have reported. Sometimes, the player may be banned for a different reason from the one you have pointed out in the report. Kind regards, Mystere TruckersMP Game Moderator.
