So, it's been 10 years since I joined TruckersMP. Time for a trip down memory lane!

I'm not active here on the forums anymore and I've not played much recently, but back in 2015/16 I was very active here. Those who know me will have known me as The Leeds Lad, which is a name that aged quite poorly

Some of you may remember me from my hybrid trucks, where you could make a mod that will enable you to have the cab of one truck and the chassis of another, and you could even also engine swap the Volvo 750hp engine for example to any truck. After learning it was possible from a tutorial, and after making sure it wouldn't break any rules I was the one who basically took that into mainstream and I offered a service where you could request a specific truck combination and I would do the scripting needed to make it happen. Unfortunately I didn't have too much time on my hands so I had to stop after a while but I think a tool came out not long after where you could make your own a lot easier than through manual script editing. I'm not sure if this is still a thing anymore though but it was a lot of fun making the wackiest looking truck you could!

I also joined the TMP team in 2015, first starting out as a member of the support team before promotion to forum moderator and then in-game admin (or what's now known as Game Moderator). It was a bit of a dream of mine to eventually end up as an admin, and the moment I received the message with the offer of promotion, as cringe-y as this might sound I could barely contain my excitement and immediately said yes. I very sadly did have to stop after a few months though due to school exams, and after that had finished I kind of fell out of love with the game. I actually did end up returning as a social media moderator in 2018 and it was a really fun role and I really enjoyed it, but I had to leave again soon after as it was around the time I was finishing Sixth Form and after thinking about it I wanted to focus more on finding an irl job.

All in all, I'm really grateful to this community for giving me a place to be to escape the real world, and I'm also incredibly grateful to the staff team back then for giving me a chance and making my dream come true lol. I made some great friends here, and while I may not have spoke to any of you in a while, I'll always be thankful of the brilliant times we all had in-game and here on the forums. Especially the hilarity of what was the Europoort and the Calais-Duisburg road! It's hard to believe it's been 10 years, and how much I've changed as a person since I first joined. I'm only 25 and now I feel old!

It's happening. I'm getting interested in ETS2 again! Gonna be going back on MP after nearly a year off I think? Though I'm gonna get used to singleplayer a bit more before actually heading back into MP so I don't mess up in front of you all...
