Just had a pretty lovely drive with @Mirrland from Hannover to Roscoff.
It was a lot of fun. Thanks for the nice drive, Mirr!

I like the proposal for the new report system to work with a scoring system. It was about time the useless reports get purged out, somehow. Definitely not gonna be a problem for me since I already do only report what is actually significant (so much so that all my reports are accepted, except for the ones in which the player was already banned when my report was reviewed).
To anyone who is displeased with this idea, well... just learn to report properly! This change should only benefit all of us. Less crap to handle in the system means that the good reports will be handled sooner. After all, none of us like to wait one to two weeks (in some cases even longer) to have our report processed, do we? And do you know why it takes so long? Because there are too many reports that should not have been filed in the system serving no purpose whatsoever but to take up time from our administrators. Seriously, there are people who after a single play session will file literally dozens of reports. There is no way in this beautiful world of God that all of them are worth an admin's time. There are people who will report even a sneeze if someone's talking in the CB and just happens to sneeze. They go like, "OMFG CB ABUSE!! SPAMSPAM REC REPORT BANNED!!!1!". And you guys know it is true! Myself, I play very often but hardly ever end filing even five reports a month.
I'm looking forward to this next update!

After all these years I finally watched Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. What a beautiful movie! Definitely up high in my imaginary list of all-time favorite movies! I love it!

I never get tired of watching this. One of the best versions I've ever found. XD

I feel like a zombie. After this mug of warm milk I will brush my teeth and crash into bed.
Good night, folks!

Swiggity swooty, I'm coming for that... convoy.

Pécs and Szeged. I've never been to these cities before so I might. Gonna go for a leisure drive with my car. Departing from Dortmund in a few minutes, I'll head towards that area and explore those two cities.

Here's a little project that I have yet to finish but thought I'd share. :3

I thought about remaking that old video about keyboard steering but it didn't turn out as I had planned so instead of scrapping it I edited it as a playthrough and here it is. Enjoy!

I'd blame the talking, explaining stuff and not paying attention to the road, it happens tho u might be right, cuz i guess brakes are 100% or 0% with keyboard.
What I hated about keyboard the most is air simulation + braking, i used to tap S key to slow slowly slowdown, (used to drive with AWSD as i was used to it from shooters) and when i came to crossroads I would normally run out of air. Not able to move I had to skip first green light as i had to refill air for brakes to unlock, fun times xD
-
Yeah, the talking does influence a lot in the attention factor. Especially for me since I am not actually used to do talking when playing games. It is very distracting to me. That's why I often "tumble over" some words, can't remember some and sometimes even lose track of what I was saying. It's not that I am an idiot, it's just that I am trying to concentrate on the road. XD You can tell the difference on the opening disclaimer. That talk went flawlessly. But then again, I wasn't playing anything when I recorded those lines!
Yeah, keyboards are binary. You either apply the brakes at 100% of force or you don't apply them at all. There is no middle ground. The service brakes alone are not the best thing if you want to simply slow down so I workaround this issue with the usage of the retarder and the engine brake to slow down and then the service brakes when I have to stop. Sometimes I use the trailer brakes, as well. Mostly when I feel the trailer is causing the truck to lose control, though often I forget those brakes exist and end up not using them when I'd need to (such as in this video). The air pressure can indeed be an issue with keyboard braking. I used to have that problem as well but then I figured that I could simply turn off the air brakes simulation. May take away a bit from the simulation aspect, but it's best than being stuck in place and unable to move until the engine can build up air pressure again.

That embarrassing moment when you are recording a video to demonstrate it is perfectly possible to drive well using keyboard steering but your trailer decides to go tail happy and makes you lose control when you need to brake and turn at the same time.
-
A couple years ago there was a debate going on about how well or bad keyboard steering is and if it is possible to drive well with keyboard steering (yes, you can) so I made a video to show that yes, it is possible to drive well with that setup.
The video is long and old. I fancy that I can do better now and have it be shorter, too. With that being said, I am thinking about revisiting this video tonight and make a new but shorter version.

Have engine problems in the middle of the road on Death Road (C-D road) be like...

TruckersMP does NOT support beta releases of the games and will never do so please, do not ask when there will be support for it, 'cause there won't be. If you installed the beta to try out the new features and can't play MP then all you gotta do is go back to the latest release by undoing what you did to get the beta in the first place. It's the same process.

I hope you don't mind but I want to rant/vent a tiny bit...
You know,it kind of bugs me when some people come to me/my channel and tell me that my Crashes Compilation series is like or copies the more known series such as Funny Moments, Idiots on the Road, etc., but completely fail to realize that if the logic of "series A copies series B" were to apply, it would be the other series that would be copying my series. Why? For the simple reason that my series is one of the very first (if not the first) to compile accidents/incidents from MP, dating all the way back to early June of 2014. The mod became public on 30th of April of 2014. I started playing it just about a week after it was released to the public. Think of it... The very first episode of Truck Simulators Crash Compilations (titled "ETS2 Online Multiplayer Crashes Compilation" back then) was uploaded on June 8th, 2014. That's barely a month after the public release of the mod. The stamped upload date and the official release of the mod date proves it.
So please. Do your homework before you come talk to me about who did what first. Everyone can make these if they want so do not dare tell me I am copying someone when I am the one who did it first. You don't see me accusing others of copying me, so just be quiet, learn about who did it first but above all, just enjoy the series you most like, be it mine or someone else's. Just enjoy the show, alright? You know who you are.

I haven't been to Rotterdam for months so since the server was quiet (just a little over 1000 players) I decided to pass by that city. Not drive into it. Just pass by. You know, just part of my joyride route. And how am I greeted upon arrival? Two rammers to the face, that's how! >:\

My Steam is being awfully slow today, for whatever reason. It's not its connection, though, but the program itself. Quite weird. Been like this all day and restart it or the computer didn't fix it.

Oh look! I found a Cheeseburger!

Well, apparently I am going to be reported...
For scoring a goal for my team by accidentally stealing the goal from my teammate on Rocket League, just now. Who's going to report me for it.
wat
He got SO mad at me for scoring twice that when our third teammate scored, he insulted us and quit the server. lol XD

Friday evening is here and my work day is done and weekend has officially began for me. Time to take a shower before it gets any colder then have dinner and do my stuff. Just gotta decide whether I'll try to work on any of my art or spend the evening playing games to relax.

Just went for a drive on singleplayer to try out the new trailers. I'm really enjoying the doubles/triples! Just don't try to reverse them... they will mess up really easily and really quickly. Far more easily and quickly than the oversized trailers. lol Oddly enough, though, go around corners with them feels easier than with any of the oversized trailers. That's neat! And the new headlights system and the possibility to change the menu background are also really nifty.
That landslide on California Road 1 (the old "Oxnard route"), though... I wonder what SCS's up to with that.
-
i think the normal doubles (the to short trailers) should be reversable with some skill and time.. the longer ones and the triples? no way..
to bad there isnt any multidrop so we cant disconnect and reconnect them on our own.
i want to see reallife events in ets2 not only in ats!!
moving road construction would be nice for example.. what we germans call "tages baustelle"
