      which clearly updated nothing

      Its not fake. The latest version is 1.33.2.1 (Not sure about last part) but TruckersMP is not supporting that version yet. So if you want to play ETS2:MP you should select "temporary_1_33 - 1.33.x for incompatible mods" in betas section of ETS2.
