  7. I think we are all on the same page here. But, as you said, there are probably some people abusing the system and spamming. That said, if we have clear rules about what can be reported or not we should be able to have very clear outcome on the reports: Valid report > punishment given to the reported Unjustified report > warning or punishment given to reporter depending on history of unjustified reports To me that's much more fair than limiting/refraining everyone from submitting as many reports as before. But we actually already had (and have) this system active with reporters getting their number of report slots reduced each time they have their report rejected. Seems like it wasn't enough to remove the bad reports?! How? I don't know? But my guess is that most of the reports were/are actually valid! And we have simply implemented these limitations to reduce the load on the report moderation team so that they can focus more on in-game moderation. I'm still waiting for the improvements following this strategy. i.e. my in-game reports are still timing out.

  14. Hello Everyone! I have a few new suggestions for TruckersMP. 1 - Solution to Ban Evading: As everyone knows, most players have dozens of accounts and they don't have ban fears. Even the anti-ban evading feature that TruckersMP has brought recently is insufficient. As a solution to this, I have a suggestion: The TruckersMP launcher will record whether we are banned in the game in a separate folder, from which accounts and IP addresses we enter. No one will be allowed to change these files. Just like some untouchable Windows files. This way the game will never allow you to enter from another account. 2 - New Vehicles: Players get bored of constantly driving trucks or cars (like me). That's why TruckersMP should bring new pickup trucks to the game. A pickup truck just like this one: https://ibb.co/DV5DJK9 Maybe later, a non-electric diesel bus can be brought in the future. Because it is very boring to drive a bus that does not sound and does not shift. Maybe there are other brands of cars besides Scout. But we want another type of car or pickup truck. If this suggestion is true, you can win many players. In addition, if you make these new future pickup trucks or buses for boss users, you can earn more income and the players will have fun. 3 - Changeable Chat, Voice Chat Buttons: Sometimes, while editing the game buttons, I cannot edit that button because it coincides with the chat button. I can't change the game keys because almost every key has a different feature. If I change one it will conflict with the other and I'll have to change them all. That's why the chat and voice chat buttons in the game need to be changed. Players should be able to assign any key they want from the TAB menu.

  17. At SCS Software, we're always happy to bring innovation and modern technology to the world of virtual trucking. Today, we'd like to announce a small but significant update that reflects our commitment to the future and sustainability, both in the real world and in the virtual realm of Euro Truck Simulator 2. To sum it up, Krone Trailers and Trailer Dynamics have joined forces to pioneer an innovative electrified trailer concept that's set to transform the transport industry. This collaboration has resulted in a special trailer equipped with an electrified axle, a great addition that not only adds horsepower to the truck-trailer combination but also reduces fuel consumption and emissions. The electric axle on the trailer acts as a powerful assistant, effectively pushing the truck and trailer forward. This advanced technology has been showcased at the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) races, where Krone and Trailer Dynamics have been on a mission to achieve record runs at renowned race tracks. Their goal is clear - to demonstrate that sustainability can be exciting and emotional, proving that it's not just about reducing emissions but also about embracing the future. And we think they are definitely nailing it! Just watch the latest video episode of their Mission Record Run series on YouTube below. Also don't forget to visit their dedicated website where you can find out more and also watch the previous episodes from some of the most famous European racing tracks. Now, here's where you, our ETS2 community, come into play. Krone Trailers has invited us to be a part of their trailer technology revolution and to give you a sneak peek into this exciting partnership. We're releasing a special teaser – a unique paint job for Krone Trailers. On one hand, this paint job is a hint of the electrifying future to come, and on the other, it's a symbol of our collaboration with one of the industry's biggest trailer manufacturers and a pioneer in technology. We hope that soon you'll be able to experience the eTrailer and more electrified content in our game. We will still need to further understand the technology itself and explore the potential possibilities of implementing it into the in-game world of ETS2. As of now, it would be too soon to give an estimate for when this new technology might make its way into the game, but we are ready to start working on it as soon as possible. We're also planning a special SCS On The Road episode to delve deeper into this new technology and showcase Krone's eTrailer in all its glory. Keep an eye out for updates on that! And finally, to make this announcement even more interesting, we're launching a social media sharing contest. We invite our players to apply the "Mission Record Run" livery to their Krone trailers in Euro Truck Simulator 2, take eye-catching screenshots, and share them on social media using the hashtag #MissionRecordRun and tagging us (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and Krone (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). Who knows, you might just win some exclusive Krone and SCS Software swag and merchandise! View the full article

  22. I agree that insults are unnecessary and unrewarding. But let's not forget that the TruckersMP team tolerates certain insults in their rules. This enables the start of an argument. Your call to enjoy the simulation game instead of getting upset after an unintentionally caused incident disregards that the vicitim's game experience was negatively influenced. They have the right to be upset, and, depending on the situation, can take appropriate actions, for example, create a report.

  24. Hey, While our rules state that local traffic rules should be followed, there are several that do not apply in a video game. Many traffic rule violations which in real life would lead to a fine, points or similar have no impact in TMP, some examples are: - Poor lane discipline is fine providing there is nobody in the area - Violation red lights / stop signs is fine providing there is nobody in the area - Speeding is fine providing nobody is endangered - Indicating is not required at any point - Driving in bus lanes/in a bus station is fine - Doing U-turns outside of designated turning spots is fine providing there is nobody in the area This rule largely refers to giving way to other drivers where necessary (red lights/give way signs) and merging rules. By linking to external sources citing traffic laws across Europe, we would be claiming that all traffic laws contained in said source must be followed. This is obviously not the case. We believe the rule is satisfactory, however I completely understand your point.

  26. I think @blabberbeak's questions are related to TruckersMP, and should be asked. "What types of cargo or missions would you like to see added to the game?" TruckersMP has added a number of custom cargoes and job-based "missions" to the game in the past. Examples include Operation HQ, Fruity Fiesta, and the TruckersMP Logos. Asking people what they might like to see in-game may enable TruckersMP to add more custom cargoes and create additional job-based "missions" in the future. "Do you use mods or user-created content to enhance your game experience? If so, which types of mods are your favorite?" Currently, only a limited number of mods are supported. Asking a question like this may pave the way for the inclusion of more mods. Contrary to the assertion that TruckersMP has no influence over the base game mod support, this is inaccurate. TruckersMP has the autonomy to support whichever mods it chooses, thanks to its own mod manager. Furthermore, if you categorise "smart signs" as a mod, TruckersMP has the capability to develop its own mods as well. This question is clearly aimed at TruckersMP although, the same question could be asked to non-TruckersMP players. "Would you like to see more official support for modding and user-created content within the game?" What I said above applies here too. "How important is the ability to customize and personalize your vehicles in the game?" Not 100% on this question, but I'd assume it has something to do with implementing fixed profiles so everyone has the same set of trucks with the ability to do very little modification. Probably to make everyone's experiences more realistic, as you don't tend to see fully blacked-out trucks with more lights than a Christmas tree in real life. "Would you like to see realistic trucking challenges or regulations (e.g., rest periods, weight limits) incorporated into the game?" If a strictly realistic approach were developed, players might wish for rest periods to be enforced. They may also desire the ability to not carry more weight than laws allow, alongside adherence to other real-life regulations, such as working hours. "How important is it for you that the game accurately reflects real-world trucking regulations?" This ties in with the question above; some players may wish for a more realistic experience. The other two questions also link into what I've already said, so I won't mention them again. Everything asked, as far as I know, can be added. Therefore, why shouldn't these questions be asked? It's been suggested time and again that the game should be more realistic. These questions seem to be aimed at gathering an idea of how many people support such a suggestion. TruckersMP most likely has control over how realistic they wish to make their modified version of the game. SCS has a near-zero impact on that.

  28. Thanks for the information. Here are some random questions that came to mind. What aspects of truck simulation do you find most engaging? What features or improvements would enhance your gaming experience? On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the realism of the multiplayer? What types of cargo or missions would you like to see added to the game? Do you use mods or user-created content to enhance your game experience? If so, which types of mods are your favorite? Would you like to see more official support for modding and user-created content within the game? How important is the ability to customize and personalize your vehicles in the game? Would you like to see realistic trucking challenges or regulations (e.g., rest periods, weight limits) incorporated into the game? How important is it for you that the game accurately reflects real-world trucking regulations? Would you prefer an option to adjust the level of regulation enforcement in the game to suit your playstyle? How important is it for you to adapt to different sets of regulations when traveling through different regions within the game?

  33. Hello @[VTC ATL] maz1lovo, Thanks for the suggestion! In response to a suggestion from our community, we have adjusted the minimum report score that users can possess. It has been modified from 0 to 1, affording players an opportunity to enhance this score by contributing valuable reports. Currently, we do not have any intentions of performing a complete reset of user report scores. We have confidence in the existing system, which we believe operates fairly. Thanks for understanding! Sincerely, Leon Baker Community Manager // Rejected

  35. Suggestion Name: More speed limiter options in the settings Suggestion Description: We all know there is the option to enable/disable the 90km/h (ETS2), 65 MPH (ATS) limiter in the TruckersMP settings, this would be to add a drop down list to select some more options for speed. For ETS2, the options could (for example) be 80km/h, 85km/h, 90km/h, 100km/h, 110km/h. For ATS, the options could be for example 60mph, 62mph (this is a common speed for some of the biggest trucking companies in the US), 65mph, 70mph, 72mph, 75mph, 80mph. Any example images: Why should it be added?: This would be useful both for people who would prefer a lower/higher limiter, or when the alternating vehicles are a type of vehicle that would have a different limiter (e.g. buses, as we have seen a few times now!). Also, this would not affect the overall maximum speed limiter of 110km/h (ETS2), 80mph (ATS), and of course shouldn't affect World of Trucks jobs.
