  1. Afaik the only instances where ghost mode is enabled is right after you leave a NCZ or when you join a server (i definitely do not miss the days where you could smash at full speed into the back of a poor guy who had just connected lol). Normall it lasts for a few seconds, but if you happen to be in a very crowded place (ie: the portals to Winterland), then ghost mode will linger until there is enough space for your truck to fit in the road. Any other instances are likely exploits.
  2. Can we just make a rule against these posts of 'i demand my playstyle to be forced upon the rest'? ETS2 is a game first and foremost. Just like every other game. It doesnt matter how much of a 'simulator' it wants to be. It is a GAME, and one in which we have a lot of freedom to play it however we want to. Why it is almost always the ultra realistic minority the ones wanting to force their realism into others? 'Go play GTA' why? Who are you to tell me how i can play the game i bought with my money? This suggestion is pointless, because speed is not the reason for the crashes, it is reckless drivers. I can get hit by people running red lights in Duisburg while driving at less than 20 kph, do you want to limit the C-D road to 10 kph? Most of the time i drive in the C-D road during peak hours i rarely ever hit 110 kph anyway, because there is some issue that slows down traffic every few kms. We need better moderation against reckless drivers, not dumb rules that only makes things worse. If you have a problem with the way other players play a game, i strongly recommend you playing single player.
  3. Because the C-D road has very heavy traffic, anything that disrupts the flow of traffic during peak hours causes massive traffic jams. The train crossing is one of the most infamous because it is something that is part of the game, is bound to always happen, regardless of how people behave on the road. As it lasts for a fair amount of time, more and more people come to the place making the jam bigger. Then you have to add a couple of impatient reckless drivers trying to overtake and causing even more disruption. For some reason there seems to be a much bigger traffic jam going from Duisburg to Calais than the opposite direction, it isnt uncommon for the jam to go all the way to the highway interchange. I never understood the reason for this tbf.
  4. Previously you could not bring any double trailer outside Scandinavia or you would get kicked. Now you can drive with them around most of Europe, except the restricted zone. However, you cannot take any jobs from/to outside Scandinavia nor use quick travel or store a double trailer in a non-Scandinavian garage. That restriction is made by SCS for the game itself and has nothing to do with TMP. So the only way for you to drive a double trailer outside Scandinavia is to take your own double trailer in an Scandinavian garage, and go where you want with no jobs. I would suggest a garage in these cities: - Esbjerg, you can take a ferry to the UK (which is entirely allowed for doubles, just do not use any ferry to the Netherlands which in the restricted area). - Malmo, which is very close to Trelleborg, with the ferry to Rostock and then you can go all the way down through Germany and reach Switzerland, Austria or Italy. Just remember, do not go to Hamburg, Hannover or Frankfurt, nor try to go to Eastern France as only Strasbourg is allowed for doubles. - Karlskrona, from there you can go to Gdansk in Poland and then go to Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary etc.
  5. SCS hardcoded double trailers to work only in Scandinavia. So either in SP or MP you cannot get jobs outside it.
  6. Types of drivers i hate in TMP:

    1. SPEED HACKERS

    2. Reckless drivers and those who think they drive a bike and try to fit in the tiniest spot (usually combined with speedhack)

    3. People running red lights in populated areas AND HORNING THE PLAYERS WHO HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, this sometimes really pisses me off

    4. People driving extremely slow in the left lane of a highway

    5. People overtaking by the right with no reason to do so (accident, someone doing #3)

    6. People who think the give way signs are for decoration

I dont think if i forgot some, but basically these ones are annoying in TMP xd.

    1. NeonLeon

      NeonLeon

      Yep I can agree ^^

  7. Many of you already know, but anyway. Your brakes are not connected to Kim Jong Un's nuclear button. Use them sometimes. It can save you from crashing, and preventing unnecesary damage or being punished by a staff.

  8. Suggestion Name: Add a small road coming out from Calais to the C-D road. Suggestion Description: Unlike Duisburg, which has 2 exits, one of them pretty calm, currently Calais only has one entrance, if we do not count the port to the UK. This road is usually overcrowded with players, the vast majority of them are coming to C-D road. This road has a couple of sharp turns which are very dangerous for a road full of reckless drivers. Accidents and traffic jams are very common there. In addition, currently most of the players who want to enter Calais, after leaving A16 highway they need to do a left turn against the traffic coming from the city. Again, this is an extremely dangerous intersection where a lot of accidents happen. At the entrance of Calais there is a roundabout. Coming from the south is the entrance road. To the west, the avenue where the service station is located. To the north, the road which leads to the port. To the east there is no exit. If you could continue that way, you would quickly reach C-D road. If you use the free camera in C-D road, you could see a building 'in the oblivion', that building is actually located next to the entrance of Calais. My suggestion is to create a small avenue from the roundabout in Calais, to the C-D road. That way, most of the 'crowd' who want to go to/from C-D road would use that road, leaving the current exit with way lower traffic. It would be much safer to leave the city, if you want to go to C-D road, you would just follow the crowd via the new road, if you want to go via Lille, you use the default exit. Traffic coming to Calais from C-D road would just take that road and then continue via the roundabout into the city. Traffic coming from Lille would still have to 'drive against the crowd', but now in a better position, since a roundabout is much better than a left turn, also it is inside the city, which means the traffic there is limited to 80 kph, unlike the A16 highway exit where people drive much faster. Any example images: Why should it be added?: To make it safer for people to enter/leave Calais, and also make life much better for people who want to go to/from Calais but not via C-D road. It would also make leaving C-D road a bit safer, since currently you need to turn into a pretty narrow highway entrance and this usually causes a bit of trouble with players driving too fast. With this road you would have more space to turn.
  9. 3 day ban for insulting a guy who cut me off 3 times in a row, drove the last 100 kms on the opposite sidelane, caused 2 accidents?

'Admin discretion'... if i get 3 days of ban that guy should get 20 days...

You could stay calm when the incident occurred instead of insulting anyone.

      Dear Asyedan,

posting Status Updates about ban won't help you any further. Appeal your ban and wait patiently. I can see that you got banned for Insulting. My Advice: never Insult someone just report them and keep going.

      Appeal your ban here: https://truckersmp.com/appeals

And if you're not satisfied with a decision made by a Staff Member then please submit a Feedback Ticket here: https://truckersmp.com/feedback

  10. I've completed the entire CD road with 0% damage and no quick loads. I feel very lucky haha. Just a minor incident with a... hm... bad driver that tried to overtake me at the railway crossing, but fortunately did no damage.

Ps: The traffic jam at that crossing,  in the opposite lane (direction Duisburg), mother of god i've never seen such a jam in TMP. At least 15 kms full of stopped trucks.

then should be a medal for that feat tbf

  11. Today i finished the event, after a 3 hour almost non stop session in TMP, with only a break to have lunch (my time is 3 hours behind WoT time). Here is my event log: The last 5 deliveries, were chaotic. I witnessed at least 4 crashes, almost got rammed twice, and so on. And what a huge traffic jam was in the highway near Dortmund! I dont know what happened there. Fortunately i was in the opposing lane. The paintjob looks great. I will apply it to some of my trucks when it becomes available in MP.
  12. Taking road chaos in consideration to support or not a specific DLC is absurd. Road chaos is caused by bad behaviour of the players in the road. Excessive traffic does not cause road chaos by itself - but add an accident, a blocker, someone AFK, a reckless driver, etc, basically anything out of the normal road behaviour, and it will turn into chaos. The only exception to this would be the non-synced traffic lights in road works like the one in Bergen-Oslo road. All players are meant to drive properly, so if you drive properly, nothing wrong could happen with special transport as long as they drive where they are supposed to in SP and, again, drive properly. If they dont, there is always the option to record and report them like you would do with anyone driving bad. To put an example: Here one NGO installed a few phone chargers in some public places, for free use. Then many people criticized them because in my country it's fairly common for some dumb people to vandalize and/or steal things in public places. Should them stop installing these? Nope, people need to learn to stop destroying and stealing things. Normal people will make good use of them. As far as i know Doubles were restricted to Scandinavia because there have no restrictions in SP, so any player would take them to CD road and of course cause some issues - again, not road chaos by itself because that requires another player to do dumb moves, but in the road where most of the dumb players go, doubles would be a bad idea, they could also be used for blocking, etc. Also doubles arent allowed IRL in many countries in 'basic' Europe, while in Scandinavia they are allowed, and afaik only Scandinavian companies can offer you doubles, so it makes sense. Maybe it was also easier to devs to do so. Special Transport, on the other hand, has predefined routes that cannot be modified by default and a defined speed limiter which heavily restricts what could a player do with it in MP. Nobody could take them to CD road nor to almost all country roads and they are also restricted to a low speed which reduces the risk of accidents. Also, as far as i know most ST routes are in places usually not much visited by players, the only exception being Brussel, the other cities have a normal to low traffic. What i said about ST is basically do not let players go in MP to places they're not able to go in SP. That's all. If you keep special transport in the areas they are designed to be, it's unlikely something bad will happen. Escort vehicles can be simply removed, or make non collission, or even make them only visible by the player, which is something already tested in MP by some players so i dont see why so many people complains about the escorts. All of that considering there wouldnt be any technical difficulties with it, such as invisible hitboxes for non-DLC players, or something similar. So obviously if devs found something like these it's obvious it wont be supported or will only be in EU #4.
  13. The DLC must be added without restrictions as soon as devs can sort all the issues. No special server, no special rules, nope nope. Players must learn to drive properly. Devs cannot restrict a game feature due to potential road chaos, as road chaos is player's fault not devs nor DLC fault. However, they should remain restricted to the default routes, because a ST cargo in CD road or somewhere similar could cause huge issues regadless of the players driving properly or not.
  14. As that city had no real utility for me, owning garages in the neighboring cities of Calais and Brussel, i sold my garage in Lille. All the employees had been relocated to Dijon, while the two personal vehicles i had stored there were moved to Szczecin.

The garage in Calais now remains as my only 5-slot garage in France.

  15. My "virtual hometown", Dresden, is one of the special transport delivery points. Nice :D

Ps: If ST is supported in MP some time, i expect heavy chaos in Brussel and Dortmund.

  16. I dont know how on earth it is possible to have 450 players in EU #2 queue if you cant login with more than 200. What do they do, join the queue and stay AFK? :|

  17. I wonder why Monaco wasnt included in Vive La France DLC. It's just 30 km away from Nice.

Monaco is not part of France, it's a sovereign country, maybe that's because it was not included in the vanilla version or the Vive la France expansion.

And why there no Corsica :(

I know Monaco is not part of France, but it's so close to Nice and also it's very close to the A8 highway, which is present in the game and goes to Italy. They could've added it as a "exotic location", like they did with Luxembourg.

  18. Scania S730 is freaking fast. You accelerate a bit and suddenly you are driving at 140 kph. Feels like a skoda with brakes xD

I think when the new special transport DLC comes out a 730hp truck will be almost mandatory if you dont want to drive a turtle

I might upgrade to a better engine as well for the new DLC but for now, my R580 is good enough ;) imo that's just a bit closer to reality, most trucks you see on the road irl also have something between 400 and 600 horsepower. But I guess in the end it's up to your personal preference, I myself usually like to drive trucks without much tuning :)

  19. Wow that was fast! Not even a day has passed since 1.30 release. Great job devs :D

  20. It works perfectly. I wish you could also set the urgency of a job, to get the maximum profit.
  21. Looking for Calais in Wikipedia and i found the city is twinned with Duisburg. Really? Hahahahaha these guys were visionaries, in 1964 they predicted these cities would become the capital of chaos in TMP

  22. Do the same you did to update to 1.30 beta, but instead select "leave all beta programs" or whatever similar appears in the beta menu. The game will start downloading and installing the 1.28 files. Notice the 1.30 saved games will be unavailable in 1.28. The game automatically backups your profile when a major update is installed, so you can either copy from the profile backup in your documents folder (it should be named "profiles(1.30.x.x).bak") to your primary profiles folder, and then load the game again, or when asked for a valid savegame, scroll down to the first usable save you found, which should be the last time you saved before installing the open beta.
  23. Driving in somewhere like CD road with heavy cargo is safer than doing it with a regular cargo. Bigger and heavier cargo means slower acceleration, that means slower average speed, that means much higher reaction times and lower risk of accidents. All you have to do is let the faster players overtake you safely. But even if you dont let them overtake, if an accident occurs, it's not your fault, but the overtaker fault. No matter how slow is the other guy driving, you must always do a safe overtake (or sometimes, dont overtake at all). Of course, there is always the chance trolls will use them for blocking, but they can do so with any trailer, so why this should be different?
  24. Hidden update from SCS: Double decker trailers

I want one of these to crash them with the bridge of CD road above A73 to make it collapse and cut CD road in half xd.
