Greetings,

Euro Truck Simulator 2 Update 1.19 is nearing completion. The closed beta is in full swing and hopefully next week we will be able to start the final stage of testing - and offer you access to a public beta.

In this short blog let's just touch one small but nice feature that this update will bring you. We are expanding Going East! content with more of the Hungarian territory, bringing you two new cities: Pécs and Szeged. As you can see on the map, quite a few kilometers of new roads were created to provide good connection to the older section of the map.

Here are a couple of fresh screenshots from the new part of the game world:

Anyone remember this?: (It's a post I made on the old ets2mp forums, in Aug 2014)

I posted that image on Reddit in April. Those forum posts is dated on May. And SCS announced the north dlc in June.

This image is in this path: base.scs/materials/editor/europe_bgn.dds. The linked image is from version 1.9.24.1s.

Note:
Red roads: Base game.
Turquoise roads: Going East dlc.
Green roads: Scandinavian addon.
Pink roads: Future italian addon.

EDITED:

Also Graz, Venecia and Klagenfurt appear in cities data since the version 1.9. And Szceged and Pecs. (Cities From Hungary)

EDIT #2:

Here is the ubication of these cities. The road in green (E66) is built in the 1.11, but closed and hidden. You can see it using the devs free camera (Camera 0). The roads in purple I think that will connect these cities.

I think that if they extended the base game in that area so close to the Going East area, SCS will extend the Going East map too.

So... I was right. :D

It will be on 1.19 Update so you DO NOT need to pay more money.

And of course you must have going east DLC.
