They're often understandable in Steam Support regarding game refunds.

But as long as you haven't played the game for several hours, you'll probably get it refunded.

^ The video was from the Haulage 64 event which took place on a dedicated convoy server where different rules applied.

Have had the same issue myself, but I just replaced it with a more plain graphic after giving up trying to find the delete button.

Anyway, it seems like YouTube (or Google) has either removed that function, or just hid it behind a bunch of settings in your Google account or something like that.

It also seems like it's a bit unsure topic after from what I've read on several threads online, so I guess switching your current channel art with something else has to do for now.

I wouldn't say that people get "punished" if they were sleeping or working during the giveaway event, since there's no requirement at all to have that DLC.

First of all, the Michelin DLC (in this case) is fairly cheap, so it doesn't really hurt getting it if some person missed the event. And since SCS doesn't usually give away bigger DLCs, you can just buy it without "loosing" alot on it.

Secondly, the fact that SCS does this at all is quite a nice thing to do of them. Do you want them to end the sort of giveaways they already offer?

And just to add on your statement above, SCS does already give people with over a certain amount of hours (can't exactly remember) more "chance", it's infact a requirement to actually get into the giveaways.

In the end, it's just a nice little event SCS has to mainly give out DLC keys, but also highlight their social medias in a more welcoming way. So I don't see any negative in it.

Basically more effective & easier, and probably really simple to implement.

Firstly, does you friend have Steam connected to his TMP account using his permalink (not custom URL, example: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198062157022/)? It's important that the permalink is used and not a potential custom URL, otherwise the link between your friend's Steam account and TMP account won't properly work.

However, if that is not the issue, try a different browser, ensure that your friend has over 2 hours of in-game time, etc.

Could you elaborate the issue a bit more?

Is the issue when your friend tries to link ETS2 to his TMP account, or is it when he tries to start ETS2 MP with the launcher?

Firstly, the game can't be Family Shared in Steam in order to have it activated on his/her TruckersMP account. The game has to be bought.

Also, make sure your friend has atleast 2 hours of in-game time in ETS2 before activating it.

Principle is that it's totally unecessary to discuss this, because why do you need to talk about him in the chat? There's plenty of other places you can do that, but in ETS2/ATS MP, that's just inappropiate.

You obviously know what Hitler did and why people know that name, so it shouldn't get an explanation for why you can get banned for saying that in the chat.

The trailer DLC is a hard addon to support as there are various technical reasons following with it being integrated in MP.

The biggest issue is that the DLC trailers has a different hit box than the normal trailers, so people without the DLC can't get a suitable/compatible replacement.

However, it's probably a case being looked at by the devs.
