  14. Fascinating how when it comes to implementing an actual sim/realism server, people crawl out of the woodwork and scream that we have no server space or that it would be too low pop/no users to bother implementing. Yet we have multiple servers, doing just that. Being utterly useless. Like how in the F is the TMP team not able to manage resources better and re purpose servers that could be deemed useless to something that a part of the community can use. I don't know how much more vocal the sim/realism crowd can get.

  17. I would agree if also non-VTC owners or members can upload their own liveries. Equal rights for all.

  18. How long would the ghost mode be active? And what do you think will happen, when it ends while other players try to pass the player's vehicle in question?

  19. Counter suggestion: Turn on lights 24/7. Better be seen several times too often, than one time too less.

  20. The casual player has a keen interest in the direction of travel of other players for a better coordination of risky and inappropriate overtaking maneuvers. If (s)he had to wait until oncoming traffic was actually visible, then it would be only half of the fun. And don't forget that only spectacular crashes will increase view numbers of "idiots on the road" videos...

  26. I feel like this is a never ending topic. What I fail to understand is how we cannot have 3 dedicated servers that accommodate 3 different play styles. 1 for dedicated sim enthusiasts, 1 for a casual sim experience (which imo is where majority of players seem to be), and 1 for an arcade experience. The fact that we have 3 servers but for some reason only the arcade server seems to have its identity issues figured out. Doubt there were changes to Sim2 in the last couple of months, but based on the last config, I couldn't figure out what the actual purpose of it was. The way I see it, Sim1 is essentially casual sim, Sim 2 lies between Sim1 and Arcade; It's like Sim 1.5 really. There aren't enough differences between the different server configs to get casual people into Sim 2 from Sim1. The ones that want 'some realism', but mostly just want to get from point a to b quickly/fast. For arcade players, Sim 2 doesn't seem to make sense either. I really wish they could give the dedicated sim players an actual server to play on instead of being combined with casual players. To me, this just creates unnecessary frustration. The people trying to sim frustrate the casuals, while the casuals frustrate the sim players. It's quite a dumb relationship. I want to like TMP, I spent many hours on it, and sometimes come back to it. But I just get too annoyed too fast with the BS even in barely populated areas. There is always SOMEONE that is going to do something stupid. As someone who does WoTr and telemetry/stat tracking, it's really bothersome to have people cause damage to the cargo. I've tried hanging out in arcade, and that is where I ended my last TMP playing streak. Not being affected by idiotic activities by other players, was definitely a welcome change but what made me go back to SP/Convoy modes is the lack of seasonal mod support outside of Sim1 server if I'm being honest. Which I actually am curious about as to why it's not optional on the other servers like it is on Sim1.

  32. Are you seriously suggesting that players can blacken out their truck and drive through the night with no lights on? If that is so, then no. Just.. No. I am terrified that you even feel like suggesting that. Enough morons are already abusing the 15 seconds they can drive without lights on. Don't expand the 15 seconds to last the entire night.

  35. Hi there, It would be absolutely awesome to have a simulation server back agian, I really miss having the simulation server, a place where mostly everyone is respecting the road rules and not a car in sight, it would be awesome to go back to it and I would fully support the idea of a simulation server returning. Unfortunately as per the last changes we did, we moved away from the simulation aspect and moved for a bit more of an arcade experience. I would love to see a server back like this as it would entice the older players such as myself to come on more, and to chill way more. I'm quite old in the community now, and several of the players that used to play don't want to return anymore due to the lack of simulation feel and prefer to keep it on convoy mode for that reason, and I can compeltely understand why they do it, as they don't want to join the mayhem of the current servers. Kind Regards, Fezz98 TruckersMP Game Moderation Manager
