Guest Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 just play in number 4 or 6 camera view with side mirror enabled..and see the FPS increase...
capsfan147 Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 Another thing that I have noticed that gives me a lot more fps is the mirror distance. For whatever reason the mirror viewing distance if higher causes a lot of fps drop. I have mine on low and get max FPS!

Raspberry_Tech Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 Ive tried all these things, but I can't seem to get smooth gameplay. I made a post about it asking for help...
Azuly Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 That's a very good guide! I will try doing it once I'm back home, in a couple of months. Thanks for your efforts.
dragonslayingmaster1000 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Nice guide but I'm pretty sure that updating graphics drivers does nothing to help fps at all. I have some tips you could add to this. Changing ETS2 priority in task manager to high and killing explorer.exe during gameplay (you can get it back after by going to task manager, click file at the top left, run new task, then type explorer in the box) can help gain a few fps. Also disabling all services you don't need will free a significant amount of resources.
Grundii Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 @dragonslayingmaster1000 If you're using older version of graphics drivers it mostly causes fps drops, lags. So it's really important to have the newest version of graphics drivers. 2 Kind regards, ɢʀᴜɴᴅɪɪ Retired Manager
General18 Posted August 6, 2019 Report Posted August 6, 2019 Great guide Another thing (atleast for Euro Truck Sim 2), make sure your running DirectX11 and not DirectX9 (I saw someone talking about it in the support room on the discord, and asked about how to check it) Here's how: 1. Go to 'Documents' 2. Go to 'Euro Truck Simulator 2' 3. Search for the file called 'config.cfg' and open it (With Notepad++ or some other program. I'll recommend Notepad++ though ) 4. Search for 'r_device' 5. After 'r_device' check if it says either 'dx9' or 'dx11' if its 'dx9', change it to 'dx11' and save 6. Enjoy the game I went from about 45 fps in an area with 30 people in it, to about 90-95 fps Dx9 seems to be using only 1 core. Dx11 uses about 4 Your performance improvement depends on your CPU and GPU 1 General18 TruckersMP My supported languages: English, Danish Support | TruckersMP Rules | Feedback | How To Downgrade

Guest Posted August 20, 2019 Report Posted August 20, 2019 Nice guide. I noticed, that disabling DLC Skin packs in Steam increased FPS and decreased Lags both in Single play and Multi play (TMP).

human721 Posted February 13, 2020 Report Posted February 13, 2020 Thank you for the info! This has helped me because I usually had 20-30 fps, but now I have around 50. This has helped me and I recommend you do this is you have low fps.
