Hmm must be Greenland or northern Canada
-
Northern Canada yep.

Tested now and can finally confirm that it's now the correct sound for the indicator in the Next Gen Scania as you can see in the video below.
And with further news SCS also seem to be adding the option for you to add sideskirts to all chassis in a couple of other trucks too such as the Scania Streamline and new Volvo FH amongst others.
-
Happy news, happy news.
Chris just sent me this, seems like SCS is actually getting somewhere with the new Scania!
Downloading the beta now again to give it a try.

Yeah I suppose so, I don't really know the full story. But I know that he used to make a lot of mods and later got hired by SCS Software so he now works for them, so yeah I suppose he makes mods for it whenever he has some spare time.

Just got a call from my boss earlier today asking me if I could drive down to Oslo on friday meaning I had to go home from work today to have my "required weekly rest" so of course I said yes and asked what I was gonna be driving etc, turns out I'm going out to Lofoten to load up and then take the ferry from Moskenes (basically as far out in mainland Lofoten as you can get) down to Bodø.
The roads out from Leknes to Moskenes is quite tiny even for cars and has some really amazing scenery around so I thought I was gonna try and grab som more dash cam clips during this trip this weekend.
Here's a preview of how it looks in the surrounding area of Reine etc, also the same place as my cover picture on my profile is taken from.

The Pro Trucker @Chris - TFM is at it again, this time it's him vs. None NCZ. As you can see Mike Dragon also warned people several times but he just nopes it.

So after going for a spin in the Next Gen Scania S580 my mind hasn't changed a bit about it, I think the look of the truck is wonderful and how much you can customize such as rear fenders, sideskirts etc. However the indicator sound still bugs the living crap out of me, the V8 sound of the engine is almost as it should be but the indicator sound is as bloody off as it could be. Plz fix SCS.... -.-

Well I mean for me anyway I don't see an indicator sound not being correct as being something seriously wrong
I guess if you drive a Scania all the time irl then ya maybe it would be but for me its not a big deal

So guys, apparently I saw a meteor earlier tonight. I had just departed from Harstad and came around a bend and saw a bright light almost looked like it was burning falling from the sky and then a bright flash as it disappeared behind the mountains. At first I thought the worst and that it was an aircraft that went done as the approach towards the nearby airport goes in that area, later read on the news that it was a meteor that lit up large parts of northern Scandinavia as it passed us.
Quite dark in the area but it lit up so much that even my dash cam was able to catch some of it even tho it was so far away. (and dash cams doesn't really see far at all in darkness) If you look closely up on the left hand side you'll see how something falls from the sky only to light up a lot before disappearing, I thought it was quite cool and you can try to imagine how much it really lit up when even the dash cam was able to capture it.
You can find some more clips of it here in this Norwegian news article: https://www.nordlys.no/astronomi/finland/naturfenomen/se-video-her-gjor-ildkulen-natt-om-til-dag/s/5-34-736885

At least it didn't explode & shatter every window for hundreds of miles like in Russia....Fact is theres billions out there & all it takes is a slight nudge for one to come say hi
-
That is really cool looking!
-
Oh wow
-
Unbelievable, the Next Gen Scania looks quite amazing but once again SCS disappoints with not adding proper sounds to their vehicles such as indicator sounds in this case again regarding Scania. I mean how hard can it be to add a proper indicator sound to the truck...
-
OMG OMG OMG guys I’m so happy right now, so looking forward to tomorrow as I get home and finally can try it!
-
Oh lord this song is so beautiful and touching, makes so much more sense now after what happened...
-
It was great at the very start, hands on each other. Couldn't stand to be far apart, closer the better.
Now we're picking fights and slamming doors, magnifying all our flaws and I wonder why, wonder what for.

Ice road truckers can shove it, I've been driving on ice roads for the past hours (been raining that later froze when it hit the roads) and I've been slipping around everywhere literally. Just saw my trailer started moving sideways all of a sudden...

Good evening,
New clip should be up and available now from last week when driving over Kveanangsfjellet during the night, quite some snow that has come there now and this is just the beginning of the winter so a lot more snow is expected over there. Some parts of that mountain you basically drive on the cliffside that goes 400m straight down into the fjord so basically if you drive out of that road thats something you only do once.
And also this mountain pass and some others nearby are notorious when it comes to foreign truck drivers getting stuck up them during similar driving conditions as this and theres actually 2 spots in this video one on my side and one on the opposite side of the road where you can see that trucks have been standing still for a while, can you find them? Btw the clip is speed up x2.

Yeah Positive I can agree with you on that, most of the times they have bad tires that aren't made for conditions like these. Sometimes the drivers aren't aware of what they should do or how they should act when its slippery etc, I mean most of the trucks have a lot of equipment to assist with bad roads etc. For example I have a tag lift so I can move load over from the rear axle to the drive axle or even lift the rear axle no matter the weight if I'd like, also one thing to switch off on slippery roads is traction control as it may doom ya. Then we also have something called OnSpot which basically is a tiny wheel sitting next to the drive wheels that has chains hanging from them and by the push of a button from my cab they lower them selves towards the wheels and rotate with it and in that way throws those chains in under the wheels itself, however nothing beats the proper snow chains we have hanging on the side. But I really dislike putting them on since its quite some work and you get really really dirty with sand and stuff everywhere...

Good morning you lot, early sunday morning which means it's soon time to head back to work sadly...
Got a new short clip for you lot again, thought I'd share a longer one tomorrow. This one is from a while back earlier this autumn as a Volvo seemed to have some kinda engine problems so the Popo officers decided to show their muscle by pushing it up the hill into a better spot to stop.

Sure I dislike Volvo as a truck IRL due to a couple of reasons but holy christ their safety systems truly save lifes, think both the driver and kid needs a clean pair of underwear after this...
(not one of my own clips)

Holy smokes that one was really close... Kid at fault for crossing blindly behind the bus, but I got to admit that I would also need a new pair of underwear if I was the truck driver.
-
Oh Wow
That was soooooooo close
-
Good evening you lot,
New video should be up right now and available to everyone still interested, this time with a bit more snow and some beautiful wintery landscape!
-
Was that taken in the evening? because it looks like the sun is setting but the time...wut? .-.
-
No, it was filmed at around 11 ash in the morning as seen on the time stamp in the video. The sun wasn't setting but the sun generally stays quite low during this season, when it's full on winter here the sun never rises at all and we get about 2 hours of daylight per day.

Good evening,
Got another video for you lot ready now, a short one tonight tho containing some stupid animals etc.
Observe how other vehicles flash their high beams at me to warn me for oncoming danger, also observe the thumbs up I got from the second truck cuz I scared them off.

Isn't there snow all the time, in northern Norway? Idk to be honest, but in my head, I've always considered Norway as a god damn cold country
-
Haha Mirrland as you can see this clip is a couple of days old, I got a newer clip going up later taken a day ago and its A LOT more snow in that one I can tell you. Winter sure is on its way, wet roads and freezing temperature tonight which means I can officially classify myself as an Ice Road Trucker. Even looking and the brake pedal made all of my brakes lock... xD
And nah Mika its not snow all year around, we got some mountain tops where there is snow all year around yes but not that many. We get some warm summers here too and especially since the sun never sets here the temperature stays about the same day and night. And yes I did actually lay on my air horns mounted on the roof to scare them off as they love to lick the salt on the roads not much else scare them, I am even shocked that I actually did managed to scare them cuz usually they don't care about anyone or anything when they're about licking salt off the road...
-
Good evening everyone,
So regarding those dash cam clips I have posted a while back I know it's quite some time now since I last posted one so thought I'd do that right now actually, have had this and the future clips to come in the next day on my computer for a while now never just got around to post them.
So todays(tonights) clip is from arriving in Harstad, Troms from entering the city/town and driving up to the dairy production facility we drive from incl. a detour due to roadworks so the main road is closed. Observe the Toyota Land Cruiser and how he wobbles all over the road and seem to be unable to stick to a specific speed, drunk or something maybe?
I thought I'd try to upload one or two more tomorrow for those of you still interested.

Well obviously I got it since you can clearly see my pro skills in that video of me maneuvering a truck in a professional way at high speed around a bend.
