  3. I mean, we do offer Arcade servers where we actively promote racing. From my own experience, it’s quite fun!

  7. @blabberbeak Oh yeah, all "Simulation" servers should be renamed "Arcade" or "Racing" and "Arcade" servers to just "Ghost Mode" or something similar, because that's what they really are. Could be a new suggestion. @Luna While I'm being sarcastic with my suggestion, I also feel like TMP should be honest about their own intentions and what they aim to achieve. I am kind of used to this "turn tables" argumentation on your forums, but we all know that Arcade servers never were TMP's unique selling point. You want to sell your product, you have chosen your preferred "customers" by your server setup decision, so stop pretending you are someting entirely different and that everyone has a equal choice, when that is not true. And yes, I know I can drive however I see fit, but I chose not to try swimming among sharks anymore.

  10. Suggestion Name: Change the "Simulation" slogan on TruckersMP website to better reflect reality. Suggestion Description: Change the "Simulation" slogan on TruckersMP website to better reflect reality, its current form is outdated and should be changed to something more honest and in line with current TruckersMP philosophy. Any example images: Why should it be added?: Truckers MP could benefit from this greatly. It would be much more enticing for mass audiences, would attract more players that wouldn't be discouraged and intimidated by its current wording, and at the same time, keep the troublemakers looking for simulation away, saving them from disappointment.

  14. Yeah, this. It's impossible to actually fully sim any of the servers. Especially the main SIM server, which ironically, is mostly a combo of race trucks or save edited garbage that looks terrible and just causes lag because they need 1,000,000,000 attachments, especially lights, beacons, and horns. I wish they would introduce server side configs. That way at least everyone is running the same settings and not running into issues where one player is on full blown hardcore sim settings, while the other might have maxed stability, braking intensity, etc. Also change the defaults - make either SIM 2 or Arcade the main/default server and have people that actually want the full experience, manually pick the server, instead of being grouped with people just clicking through all the menus (similar to how people click through installers without reading and just selecting 'next'). All these people all the time claiming on forums that they want full sim experience, yet it is quite rare that I actually find someone on the server doing this. Contrary to the server config surveys. It seems majority of the player base doesn't actually want "full sim" experience, or completely lack the understanding of what that means based on how they actually play. People need to understand that "collisions enabled" is NOT the only thing that makes it a hardcore/realism based simulation set up. I come back to TMP from time to time to see the stuff that they changed. The changes are nice and welcome. The player base on the other hand, I have nothing nice to say really. Would be nice if people would actually take responsibility and not just 'sorry bro' and continue driving like an asshat, which to me, is a clear indication they aren't sorry, have not learned anything, and are bound to repeat the same mistake again/cause the same type of accident. I only file about 30% of my collisions, as I feel bad for the TMP staff dealing with a constant overflow of reports, and even that, I feel like I am spamming them with reports. This has been my longest run before returning to single player, it's easier to deal with AI being stupid, than it is actual players. It's a shame.

  15. After the TruckersMP team invited permanently banned players back to their servers, I think it's safe to say that the situation won't get any more worse if you let banned players continue to play during their ban time.

  24. Dear Werzey*, Though words may fail to express, I continue to miss you even now, long after you have departed. You were an incredible source of inspiration and support in my life, and your presence had a profound impact on me. The memories we shared have become precious to me. The moments we laughed together, the times we overcame challenges side by side – all of it has been a beautiful gift to me. You were a remarkable individual in this world. Your warm laughter and wise advice were always a comforting solace to me. I treasure all the time we spent together. Though you have left our side now, I will always remember you and hold your value dear. I will strive to become a better person, inspired by you, and share the love and care you bestowed upon me with others. May you rest in peace. I pray that you find eternal tranquility, and I will forever love and remember you. I am sorry to hear this news about you. My name was "Astrid" when you were the In-Game Admin back, I don't know if you remember me, but back then I shared a lot of information about the game from you, which helped me a lot.

  25. Hi, There are also some provider for that. But mostly you need to pay real money to get it. If you wanna try, there is CHub. But there is also a free tool to work with: With this tool you get an API to work with. But you still need to develop your own Drivershub.

  26. Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because another player violates the rules doesn't give you the right to violate them too. It is forbidden to overtake on the right, because it is dangerous as the driver who is overtaken usually doesn't expect it.

  28. As a game moderator, They are not obligated to spend the entire day on the game or review forum reports. Each member of the team is assigned a specific number of tasks to complete daily, leaving them with ample time to fulfill their real-life responsibilities or play other games with friends. If you have submitted a report, rest assured that any disruptive players will be dealt with, though it may take several days or even weeks to do so. Regardless of when they are punished, rest assured that action will be taken, and patience is crucial in the meantime.

  29. Regrettably, I am still unable to comprehend their intention. If their objective was to purchase a simulation game, then why do they classify it as a racing or driving game that typically involves exceeding the maximum speed limit, passing slower drivers, or navigating sharp turns at high speeds? Such actions are unnecessary as this is not a game akin to "Need for Speed".

  35. The California Rework project is a challenging task that we have been working on for quite a while, and despite the hard work and dedication that is required, we haven’t had the opportunity to mention the unsung heroes that are part of the dedicated team. We hope you will enjoy this small presentation of the SCS map designers that are currently working on Phase 3 of California Rework and their short messages to you, the #BestCommunityEver. Janek (current leader of the project) I took over the California Rework from Mrazík, and it's my very first project as the Map DLC Lead, but certainly not the first project I've worked on. You can see my work in the DLCs for Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and also in the upcoming DLC for Oklahoma. My main goal in the California Rework project is to capture the atmosphere of all areas in California as best as possible and to ensure the best comfort for the team so that we can deliver California to you just as you have always wanted. Tereza I work at SCS as a Junior Map Designer, and as well as working on California Rework I have also been involved in the creation of the Oklahoma DLC. In Phase 3 of California, I particularly enjoy the vast plains, almond fields, and farms. Players can look forward to a new and polished California coat, which I personally find to be the most exciting. Tomáš I worked on the second phase of the California Rework, where I created US-80 with Donner Pass and Truckee. I also helped to finish some other locations and contributed to bug fixing. Currently, I'm working on Stockton and US-50, which have a similar mountainous scenery to Donner Pass. Juraj When I joined SCS two and a half years ago, we started working on the second phase of the California rework. In the meantime, I also helped with other map DLCs. Working on the third phase of the rework is the most interesting for me so far because I got the opportunity to focus on cities and industrial areas, which I enjoy the most. I am convinced that players will also love this new part of the map as they can look forward to seeing many new landmark structures and areas. Margo The California Rework is the first project I am a part of as a Junior Map Designer. What I enjoy the most about the Rework is the great creative freedom I have in influencing, uplifting, and transforming each location, resulting in more interesting places to discover! Martin My first task at SCS was designing a simple country road for the Utah DLC almost 4 years ago. I've come a long way since then, working on several DLCs in between, and taking on challenging tasks like El Paso, Texas. California has a distinct summery vibe in our game compared to other states. You can feel the presence of the Pacific Ocean nearby, and our original map captured that well. The rework receives the same quality treatment as a brand new DLC, with a much-improved and denser road network, many new landmarks, and the newly included city of Modesto, of which I happen to be the author. Hoang I have been involved in the rework from the very beginning, I believe we started with three people. During my time at SCS, I have also worked on creating a few roads for Montana and Texas. Currently, I enjoy working on smaller historical settlements with an organic structures. I find the American contrast between regular concrete jungles and organic development, such as in Santa Cruz, fascinating. Players can expect a lot of detailed content and beautifully designed cities and landscapes. Bartłomiej As an ugly person, I'm doing everything to make my region look not as bad as myself. That includes taking advantage of the skills and knowledge I gained before joining SCS Software while working on my own map project for American Truck Simulator. I think many players will appreciate the new feel of California. Roman Since joining SCS, working on the third phase of the California Rework is my first experience with map design on this scale. I am grateful for my experienced colleagues who guide me on this journey of improvement and discovery. It's been very exciting to witness the growth of the new and improved California, and I think there is a lot to be excited about. Františka I have been working as a map designer on California for two years now and have also been involved in the previous phase. Currently, I enjoy working on various diverse coastal roads. Players can definitely look forward to plenty of new stunning ocean views. Pavel I have been with SCS for almost a year, and the California rework is the first project I have worked on. I hope the players will enjoy exploring the revamped familiar locations of this iconic state. Honorable mention - Mrázik (previous team lead) The ongoing effort to rebuild California to meet modern quality standards has entered its third phase, with a clear objective in mind: to introduce an impressive upgrade to the content that every player of ATS can navigate, and enjoy. So far, I firmly believe that the team has successfully captured the very essence of Californian trucking, architecture, and culture, and I eagerly anticipate the release of the final product in the game. While I am no longer part of the mapping team, having witnessed Janek's potential, I gladly entrusted him with the role of the new Map DLC Lead as he shares similar values and possesses the ability to motivate and inspire the team in ways better than I ever could, along with brimming with the energy required to bring to a great finish what the team and I have started. We really hope you’ve enjoyed this slight detour from our usual map-related blog posts. The team is doing their best to provide you with an amazing experience and we can’t wait to show you some more of what they’ve been working on in the future. Until then, keep your eyes on the blog or follow us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) for any new updates. View the full article
