  1. Hey truckers! We hope you have been enjoying celebrating #TMP8 with us, and had fun at the various events on offer over the weekend! A while ago, you may have seen that we mentioned something about buses in TruckersMP in our launcher or on one of our social media channels. The addition of buses has been a much-requested feature in our community for the past few years. Since last year, we have been exploring a partnership with the folks at DBus World to make that a possibility and bring a new way of playing on our servers. As you may already know from the Alternating Vehicles of the past months, our team can bring a bus model themselves, but we want to offer the community more than just a model to drive. Therefore, we are excited to announce that we will be supporting the DBus World client for use on the TruckersMP servers! So… bus when? Well, we want to provide the bus as soon as possible and we are working hard with DBus World to make it happen. At the moment the final touches are being made and we expect to be able to welcome buses to TruckersMP shortly; from now on, we will provide regular updates on our social media channels. Initially, we will only offer one bus, as we want to offer the best performance possible without issues caused by file size and animations. We need to evaluate these aspects thoroughly before we can confidently offer more buses, as we only want to provide a polished end product for you to enjoy. Hopefully, we can count on your support for that! Patreon We also want to offer an insight into our Patreon campaign. Most of you have probably noticed that activity on our servers had decreased in the second half of 2021 and this was also visible in the revenue that we gathered through Patreon. In the image below, you can see that the monthly income through Patreon has been consistently decreasing since May 2021. This income is important for us to ensure that our Game Developers can devote their precious time to TruckersMP, to ensure that regular updates take place and that new features are developed for the community. Later this year, we plan to introduce additional and new benefits for Patrons as we develop them. Are you currently a Patron or have you been a Patron before? We would love to hear your views and opinions on our current campaign so we can make it even better! It would be great if you could help us by participating in this short survey: https://truckersmp.com/survey/15 Other Plans Our lead Developer, mwl4, is currently working to improve our current codebase. This is a crucial task in order to fulfill one of our long term ambitions: to introduce AI traffic on TruckersMP servers. We are hoping to update you on AI traffic in TruckersMP later this year but we will have to see what the coming months will bring. You can learn more in this blog post. You can also expect to see more features added to the Job Tracker and Job Dispatcher, as well as further improvements to the in-game user interface and the achievement system. We will also be looking into bringing in-game profiles, which you can fully customize to represent who you are, what you prefer doing on our servers, and show off things you unlocked. But that's all for now! We are looking forward to the future and to see what it brings. As always, thank you to everybody who continues to support TruckersMP, and allows us to continue creating this one of a kind modification! We are looking forward to another year full of new content! 4. ¡Hola, camioneros! 6. Suggestion Name: Feature to see tonnage in "Job Dispatcher" Any example images: https://prnt.sc/RtQO2QIl_qkg Why should it be added?: The "Job Dispatcher" feature in TruckersMP is great, but there is something we think is missing. While playing with our friends, we sometimes want to drive in high tonnage, but we cannot see which load is heavy/light. This takes our time. As a suggestion, we would like to offer the following; It would be great if we can see the tonnage of the load when we choose the load we want or next to all the loads.

  11. Hello @Blackviper105_, To answer your question: 1 • Either you got too many reports at the same time, which would be 10 in your case, so that you cannot report anyone else anymore until the latest ones have been checked. Why can I only create 10 reports? A: The Game Moderation Team is being asked to rate the quality of the reports. This is being used to help get rid of the majority of useless reports that currently come through the system. The more good reports you submit, the more you will be able to report in the future. The more bad reports you submit, the less you will be able to report, to the point where you are no longer able to. Q: I have reached my limit on the report system, what must I do? A: You must wait for some of your reports to be dealt with. Once some of your reports have gained positive points from a Game Moderator, you will have a higher report limit. 2 • Or your report rights have been revoked. Q: I've been banned from using the report system. What do I do now? A: If you have been banned from the report system and wish to discuss or otherwise know the reasons as to why you have been banned, please head over to the feedback system and submit a ticket to the Game Moderation Management. More about the report system itself here: https://truckersmp.com/knowledge-base/article/10 I hope I could answer your question! Kind regards, HandOfClash TMP Event Team

  12. Hallo Truckers! Smoky Game Producer

  13. Where should you stop your truck? By Ash.exe So, you're in a situation where you need to AFK but then you don't know where to stop. Fear not! This guide will outline some places you should and should not stop at! I will be covering the following topics: How should you stop your vehicle? Places to stop at including rating. How do I pull out from the side of the road? Extra notes. How should you stop your vehicle? This part is very simple but you don't just press the brakes and hope everything is well! Here is how you should stop: Observe some good places to stop at - All of this will be covered in the next section. Switch on your hazard lights/signal towards the stopping location - This will notify drivers behind you that you will be stopping your truck. Alternatively, you can also signal towards the stopping location but should not be done near junctions or slip-roads. Check your mirrors then move over to the stopping location - You need to do this to make sure no one is undertaking you. Once all traffic is clear, steer towards the stopping location. Drive a few metres to ensure your trailer fits in with the stopping location - I have seen a lot of drivers make the mistake of forgetting to do this. This results in the trailer sticking out to the road which can be dangerous. Switch to a neutral gear, turn on parking brakes and steer the wheels away from the road - This step is crucial because this prevents your truck from rolling back onto the road. Switching to a neutral gear will prevent accidental accelerations. Parking brakes will completely stop your truck from moving. And steering away from the road will allow your truck to roll away from the road, in the event where you forget to switch on parking brakes. Relax - Congrats! You can finally go AFK! If you want a further peace of mind, press F1 when stopped. I have also linked a video here as a demonstration of this: https://medal.tv/games/euro-truck-sim-2/clips/jC45tAkfDwiFd/d1337KfIyUh8?invite=cr-MSxlVEQsMTI1MjAwNDMs Places to stop at: Service stations | 5/5 - Service stations have designated parking for trucks and conveniently located next to a motorway. Non-collision zones | 5/5 - NCZs are also a great place to stop at as trucks cannot collide with you. Examples of NCZ include: Garages Repair shops Logistic companies Ferries Recruitment agencies Hotels Hard shoulders | 4/5 - Hard shoulders are lanes that separate vehicles that need to stop with traffic. Use hazard lights if stopping here. Curb | 4/5 - Curbs are okay in general as it is separated from traffic. Use hazard lights if stopping here. Terrain | 3/5 - While it might seem okay to stop here, you may risk minor damage if the terrain is rough. If stopping here, set your suspension to high and use hazard lights. Sloped terrain | 3/5 - Because trucks are large in size, there is a risk of the truck roof sticking out on the road. If stopping here, move as far away from the road as possible, use parking brakes and hazard lights. Use suspension if you might be stuck. Terrain on the opposite side of the driving road | 2/5 - Because trucks are slower than cars, it may be difficult for a truck to return back to the road if it is busy. Only stop here if the road isn't too busy and use hazard lights. Duel Carriageways/Motorways | 2/5 - Stopping on a Duel Carriageway if hard shoulders are blocked off may cause a congestion behind you. Only stop here if the road isn't too busy and use hazard lights. Single lane roads | 1/5 - Single lane roads are not a great place to stop at as vehicles behind may be forced to overtake. Overtaking is a risky manoeuvre. Only stop here if the road isn't busy. Junctions | 0/5 - Stopping on a Junction is not a good idea as you may block other traffic. Find any other spot to stop at. Examples of junctions include: Crossroads T-junctions Roundabouts Slip roads Bends | 0/5 - Stopping on a bend is a collision risk as vehicles behind may not be able to see your truck. Find any other spot to stop at. How do I pull out from the side of the road? This is also quite simple to do but it is important you follow these steps to avoid becoming a hazard: Signal towards the road - This lets other drivers know you are going to exit the side road. Accelerate as much as you can on the side road - This prevents you from slowing down other drivers behind you. Check your mirrors then emerge - Check your mirrors for the final time. If you do not see any vehicles, emerge back into the road. I have also linked a video here as a demonstration of this: https://medal.tv/games/euro-truck-sim-2/clips/jC4kQeeBS-e9D/d1337SYoaD1G?invite=cr-MSw1N28sMTI1MjAwNDMs Extra notes: If you find that you do not have enough room to accelerate or you are in a bad stopping position, run the /disconnect command then drive to a safer area. To figure out whether the spot you are stopping at is the best spot: Think about whether stopping there may sustain damage. Think about how easy is it to leave that area. Think about whether stopping there will cause congestion behind or in front of you. Thank you for reading this guide. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to drop a message below!

  14. Dear Truckers, As you probably know, the official multiplayer (known as Convoy) is already here. Convoy is a great multiplayer game, though it is completely different from TruckersMP. Both multiplayers have their pros and cons, but at least TruckersMP gives you an alternative. For 7 years, TruckersMP most of the time was a part-time job (or more like hobby) for me. Usually done at night. In 2018 I had the opportunity to work for TruckersMP full-time for 6 months. Progress then was significant, but back then we had revenue only from Google Adsense and we could not afford investing into server infrastructure or even working full-time for a longer time. That is why I decided to join CD PROJEKT RED in the beginning of 2019. Of course it was also a pleasure for me to work on Cyberpunk 2077! As you may suspect, after this move I had much less time for TruckersMP. Again it started to be work done at night, I would say - hard crunch mode. We started our Patreon campaign in October 2019 and it showed me very quickly that the community wants more from this project. But at that time Cyberpunk 2077 was not even released, not speaking about patches. I could not leave my team there, so I decided to stay until the game was released along with patches. And now the time has come. I am currently on notice period, and starting from August I will have a chance to work on TruckersMP full-time again! It was only possible because of your support via Patreon! But I am still an enthusiast who wants to make this game the best. As you know, TruckersMP has its issues. We all know these issues: trolling missing gameplay features (e.g. economy) low quality a lot of bugs lack of VTC support in the game long waiting for support of new game version missing synchronization (e.g. weather, AI vehicles) But TruckersMP also has a lot of potential, but we really use only a little part of this potential at this moment. TruckersMP still is in its Open Alpha stage, version 0.2. We want more though. We would like to bring Open Beta 1.0. It is not just a version name change in code though. We need to address the issues above and fix them. Do not expect one very big patch which we will be working on for 2 years. This does not make any sense and most likely we would fail. Instead expect many small patches which will eventually lead us to the game we will be proud to call Beta 1.0. Do not think this will come in just one month. For that we might need a year or two. In the meantime we found a very talented person - ShawnCZek. For sure you know him from the features he brought so far to the game. But also Smoky turned out to be a very good game producer, as he makes sure we are heading in a good direction. Within the game development team we are motivated like never before. Our heads are full of ideas, we just need time and your support! Do not hesitate to give us your feedback, what you like, what you don't like. We will be hearing suggestions more than ever before. In the coming months we will focus the most on the technology aspect. We need to improve our tools for supporting the new game versions to make the whole process shorter and more efficient. We need to bring a new replication framework which will improve the quality of synchronization and will fix a few bugs related to it. This should also be easier to add new synchronized stuff to the game. In the future it should also make it possible to bring AI-driven vehicles to TruckersMP. Problem with trolling will be mitigated with the “Global Report System” - reports from the game will be centralized. It will be easier to review bans, moderation of the game will be shortened to handle capacity of our game servers. In the meantime we are planning to talk about bus-related matters with another instance in the community. More details about all of this soon! For now we are hard working on supporting the 1.41 game version, which should come closer to the end of month. From the community perspective it is better to have two multiplayers. You can always play alternative mode. Looking at complexity and dose of luck I would say that it is very unlikely that similar modification will be created in the future. Such an opportunity might never come again. Kind regards, mwl4 Game Developer --> View post on homepage

  15. The Game Moderation Team is responsible for moderating the servers to ensure that everyone plays by the rules and can enjoy their time. We have not shared what goes on behind the scenes in this team often, which may have been a breeding ground for common misconceptions such as that we do not do enough work or that we are barely present on the servers. This blog provides an insight into the core activities of the Game Moderation Team in 2021. Report systems In TruckersMP, we have two separate report systems: the web report system and the game report system. The game report system is used to report users directly in the game but does not guarantee a review. As such, game reports can time out after a while. In order to accommodate users to push particular situations for a guaranteed review by one of our staff members, they can utilise the web report system; however, they must record and provide their own evidence. We regularly receive comments from users that they are unhappy about their game reports being timed out. We understand that this is not an ideal situation, but it is a necessary means to keep things manageable around here. In 2021, our team received 287K web and 1.1 million (!) game reports. We are talking about 1.4 million reports in total, in just one year. It is practically impossible to review all those reports with a relatively small team consisting of volunteers, which is why we base our decisions on where our focus is needed the most. In the first half of 2021, our focus was mainly on the web report system as we experienced extremely high pressure on that system. This pressure eased during the summer; during the rest of the year, we were therefore able to shift our focus towards game reports and an increased in-game presence. In total, we reviewed all 287K web reports and 195K game reports last year. Bans and appeals The total of 482K reviewed reports, in addition to live moderation on the servers, resulted in a total of 307K bans. Of those, 169K bans were issued through the website and 138K in-game. Our staff members received 107K ban appeals, of which 5% were accepted. This figure is shockingly low and we regularly receive signals from our staff members that appeals are based on improper grounds. A large number of appeals are solely based on pointing fingers to brothers, sisters or even pets; or are used to say sorry or to ask for another chance. Please keep in mind that when submitting an appeal, your appeal has to be informative, detailed, and contain sufficient grounds and possibly counter-evidence to explain why your ban is not correct. If you submit an appeal that does not meet our conditions or is very bland and lacks solid reasoning, it is unlikely that your appeal will be accepted. Earlier this year, we reduced the total number of appeals per ban from 3 to 2, since third appeals barely ever made any practical difference apart from causing extra work. We ask players to make careful use of the rights that we offer, as abuse of those rights may result in systems becoming stricter in the long term. It would greatly benefit our staff members and the community if we could spend our time on more reports or employ more in-game presence instead of having to spend time on reading and replying to appeals that are based on improper grounds. Server activity and the impact of Covid-19 The most activity on the servers, and thus also the busiest days of the week for the Game Moderation Team, are on the weekends. In 2021, we recorded a total playtime on our servers of 31.2 million hours (compared to 37.8 and 30.5 million hours in 2020 and 2019, respectively). The server activities in 2020 and the first half of 2021 were elevated due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Many countries around the world took measures to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, such as working from home and total lockdowns. As a result of that, our team had to step up their game to address the extremely high pressure on the web report system. The most intense period of increased activity during the pandemic was between March 2020, when many countries around the world initiated a lockdown for the first time, and May 2021. May 2021 was a record-breaking month for our team with an all-time high of 40K web reports in one month and an all-time high daily record of 1,890 web reports on May 16th. In the image below, you can see an overview of the server activity and the pressure on the web report system during that period. The peaks in April 2020, July 2020, November 2020 through January 2021, and May 2021 correlate with the peaks in the globally reported confirmed Covid-19 cases (confirmed by data from the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at the John Hopkins University). This may be explained by social distancing as many countries initiate lockdowns as a response to those peaks, and lockdowns cause an increase in stay-inside activities such as gaming. Besides peaks, there are also some drops in activity visible, primarily during the highlighted downgrade periods. When SCS Software releases a new version of the games, our developers have to reverse engineer the updates to make them compatible for use on our servers, and during that time players are forced to downgrade their game version. Activity on the servers, and therefore the pressure on our team, quickly restores once the newest game version is supported. Demographics and recruitment The TruckersMP community is very diverse with players coming from countries all over the world. Although our team primarily operates in English, we offer support for a large variety of languages by hiring users from all parts of the world. In addition to that, we receive great support from other staff members who help us with translations. This ensures that we can deal with reports that contain foreign languages and it helps us communicate with players when they are not proficient in English. Our Game Moderation Team (as of the 1st of January) is globally represented by 105 team members from 33 different countries across all continents (with the exception of Antarctica, as we have not hired any penguins yet). Game Moderation Team members are aged 24 years old on average, ranging from 17 to 50 years old. Moreover, they average 1.5 years of experience as a moderator. Team members come and go on a frequent basis and as such, recruitment campaigns are frequently held. In 2021, there were three recruitment campaigns for the Game Moderation Team: February, May, and December. We unfortunately often have to disappoint many applicants given the large interest in our team and the strict requirements and expectations. In 2021, we received 1,556 applications (data from the ongoing December campaign is not included). Of those, 114 (7.3%) candidates were invited to an interview and 57 (3.7%) were eventually accepted and onboarded to our team. This gives you an impression of how many applicants do not make it through the selection process. If you are interested in joining the Game Moderation Team, please keep an eye on the recruitment page. Concluding remarks As you can see, the Game Moderation Team has not been sitting still in 2021. With our team of dedicated volunteers, we are working hard to review as many reports as we can. Unfortunately, we cannot deal with all game reports simply because the influx of new reports is extremely high on that system. As a community member, you can do your part and help us reduce the workload for our team by not reporting every minor incident to us. Not every incident has to be punished and can also be resolved by yourself by recognising that players sometimes make mistakes. Our goal is to let players enjoy their time on the servers whilst ensuring that they play by the rules. Let us cherish that goal as a community. Looking forward, in the future we will have one integrated report system that will make it easier for us to moderate the servers and review reports more efficiently. Our lead Game Developer briefly talked about that system in an earlier blog a few months ago. Moreover, we are also studying a new ban system which is intended to standardise bans; this will increase consistency, fairness, and transparency among the bans that we issue. More information about that will follow once we have designed, developed, and implemented the necessary changes. We hope this blog has provided a meaningful perspective of what the year 2021 meant to the Game Moderation Team and that it has resulted in a broader understanding of what the team is capable of doing in a year. 2022 will be a year with new challenges and opportunities and our team will continue working on keeping the servers safe to the best of our ability. Drive safe and enjoy your journeys! Game Moderation Management --> View post on homepage

  16. Greetings! It’s approaching that special time of the year when we yet again celebrate our anniversary. This year TruckersMP is turning 8! On the 1st of May 2014, TruckersMP (formerly known as ETS2MP) opened its doors to the public for the first time. Fast-forward to today; with over 4.5 million players as well as over £50,000 raised for charities at events in the community over the past 8 years which is a massive achievement, and millions of hours combined playtime, the success speaks for itself! For TruckersMP, our anniversary is always a special time of the year! It reminds us of how awesome our community is and what we have accomplished together. For that reason, it is important to come together and celebrate the success of TruckersMP. Show your support by wearing #TMP8 in your player tag! As you may know, we always love to hold a massive anniversary party and with that said, we are very excited to announce our celebration plans coming in just a few days! Queue the intense and dramatic music… Friday 29 April 2022 It’s back again for another year and we’re going to kick off the celebrations with an absolute bang! We recommend bringing your best pair of dancing shoes, along with lots of food and drinks! ;) Okay, let’s get to the point. Like last year, we are partnering again with TruckersFM to bring you a one of a kind 5-hour Festival! Located at Haulie Island just north of Amsterdam, we are opening up our festival on a huge site next to the race track where our Tournament was located last month. This will include a spectacular custom stage, lots of party decorations, a custom dragstrip, race track and most importantly - great music broadcasted to you LIVE from the Truckers.FM studio. So please join us at the festival, enjoy the music, and party with our staff and the community! To get to the Island you will need to catch the ferry connections from Europort or Hull. The festival will be open on Friday 29th April between the hours of 17:00 - 22:00 UTC. Alternative Timezones: https://notime.zone/N-cMCFexX5_cp Server: TMP8 Festival The Festival server will be non-collision, meaning your fun won't be cut short by someone blocking you from coming to the festival. Everyone is welcome! Saturday 30 April 2022 It’s time for the second day of celebrations and we will be moving over to ATS! Make sure to get your truck and trailer ready for the American roads, we will be meeting up at Carson City where we shall be departing to take on the route towards Santa Maria. Now we move over to day three where we will return to ETS2, for this convoy we will be meeting up at Strasbourg where we take on the roads and all the views Europe has to offer to get to our final destination which is Rotterdam. Departure Location: Strasbourg Departure Time: 17:00 UTC Destination Location: Rotterdam Estimated Convoy Time: 2 Hours Alternative Timezones: https://notime.zone/N-cMfffzAQE97 Server: TMP8 Convoy Convoy Rules: https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/topic/45829-temporary-official-event-rules TMP8 Freeroam But wait, there’s one more thing! In addition to our three action-packed days of celebrations, we are excited to announce that our exclusive 'Freeroam' server will be returning! If you celebrated with us last year, you may remember we released a unique server in which the community could play online in a 'sandbox' environment. It was a massive success, and once again as a thank you to the community, we will be reopening it again exclusively for our TMP8 celebrations. So what's so special about this server? On our TMP8 Freeroam [No Road Rules] server, players will be granted access to our staff-exclusive Police car! And, to ensure you can enjoy the experience with reduced restrictions, the server will have no road rules enforced, but with the player collisions ON. As well as all of this our very own Haulie Island will be available on the server to race your friends or even go head to head on the dragstrip, or if you are not into all of that you could just chill and take in the beach views that the Island has to offer. The server will be available on Euro Truck Simulator 2, exclusively between Monday 2nd May - Sunday 15th May. Click here for TMP8 Freeroam server rules! Thank you for playing! <3 -TruckersMP Team --> View post on homepage

  17. The lifetime pledge will be fixed within the next update of data (so in the next billing period). This is due to recent changes in Patreon API. We can't really do anything about that.

  29. This road is still decently populated, although I don't think it's going to last much longer because the player count there has been going down on the past 2-3 weekends. 40 players on the road to maybe 15 max. That's still not too bad and it's still fun to drive on so definitely continue to enjoy it while you can and if you haven't driven on it yet at all you definitely should give it a try! More challenging and tighter roads than Kirkenes quarry. Check out my thread on it where I provide some updates on the traffic. Also @Ash_0104 I put a link to your guide in that thread if you didn't notice. https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/topic/107235-theres-a-new-popular-road-on-promods-in-northern-iceland/

  33. All official rules are in place during an official TruckersMP event. Although, there are some that are different from the public servers. Be sure to follow these rules when attending an official TruckersMP event. Last updated: 03 Nov 2023 Overtaking - It is not permitted to overtake during a convoy. If you are overtaking, you will be kicked from the server on your first offence. The second offence will be a ban depending on the situation. Cars - Use of cars are prohibited during any convoys organised by TruckersMP as they are reserved for staff. The only cars you will see during a convoy will be either Game Moderators or the Event Team. If you are caught using a car during an event, you will be kicked from the server. Repeated offences may result in a ban for the duration of the event. Reckless Driving - Please ensure that you are keeping a safe distance from the player in front of you, to ensure you can stop safely. There will be Game Moderators watching over the event, making sure that participants are acting appropriately. Free-roam - Roaming throughout the server and not following the event is not allowed. You must be participating with the convoy, or in the surrounding areas. Failure to comply will result in removal from the event server. Convoy Control - You must follow convoy control instructions given by the TruckersMP team. They are there to ensure that everyone is driving in the correct direction and alert you of upcoming hazards. You can identify them by their coloured usernames and in-game tag! They will be driving a police car. Their instructions must be followed at all times, otherwise, you will be removed from the event server. Signs and barriers - You must adhere to any overhead signs (Including the "Red X"), directional arrows, barriers and any other object placed down on the road. You must not drive around them and/or ignore them as they are placed to ensure your smooth passage at our events. Trailers - Unless explicitly stated otherwise, a trailer is required to participate in our convoy's. For Euro Truck Simulator 2; you should not exceed two (2) trailers. For American Truck Simulator; you should not exceed two (2) trailers with the exemption of the base triple. Heavy Haul cargo is not permitted for either game (empty trailers are permitted so long as you are not causing a gap). If your trailer is causing gaps in the convoy, you may have to pull over or teleport to the Services. Traffic Signals - The convoy will have priority over traffic signals. It is not required for convoy participants to stop at red traffic signals, or yield at junctions unless directed otherwise. The event servers are only online for the duration of the event, they are not available 24/7.
