  9. So if you got banned, the reasoning is that you did something wrong that meant you should be banned x days for it. Even if its a small thing. The appeal system, as its called, is for appealing your ban. If you think your ban is wrong. As in if you where wrongly banned. If you broke the rules and got banned, you where not wrongly banned, you where banned within the rules. Apologising is not proving that you where wrongly banned. Just like in real life, if you appeal a jail sentence, going up to the judge in your court appeal and say i am very sorry for what i did, is not gonna get you out of jail. And even if you did not mean to brake the rules, you somehow did anyway. And if you where banned x days for something, if you learned from it, then you will not be banned again, cause you wont brake the rules again. And it is also like that so to not waste the moderators time. In regards to web report bans VS in game report bans. So if you are reported on the website you will get a ban if you broke the rules (in most cases anyway). Now if you broke the rules in game and you said sorry and the person did not report you you would not be reported and most likely not banned. As we as moderators often need the reports in order to ban people. In most cases, but not in all. Cause lets say you brake the rules and say sorry to the user you rammed and they decide not to report you, but a moderator sees you ram that user, there is a high chance that you will be banned anyway even if the user you hit did not report you. Cause then we as moderators saw you brake the rules and so you would get banned. But we would have to be there to see you do it. We cant ban you if we dont have evidence of you braking the rules or if we did not catch you brake the rules. So there is no contradicting in that.

  13. Hello AeronY, Thank you for submitting a question to us! Our staff members are allowed to join a VTC if they wish to. We expect them to still enforce the rules, do their duties etc to our expectations whilst being in that VTC. So that would include taking appropriate punishments on their own VTC members should they need to and still fulfilling our activity requirements etc. I hope this helps answer your question! Kind regards, Aek177

  15. Hello @WoreX045, Our long-term goals for TruckersMP, is to create a more simulated world which is not purely focused on trucking. For this reason, we have started to work on buses, which is a project that should be completed soon. Stay tuned for more information. Regarding a passenger mode to enjoy a nice journey together with your friend; it is a subject which we will definitely look into. Currently we have no idea how hard it will be to achieve this, as research needs to be done first. It is not part of our short-term planning.

  16. Hey, Firstly, I just want to say that everyone in this team was hit very very hard by the loss of Sanamaria, she was an incredible person and an amazing person to work with. Secondly, the lack of an "official statement" doesn't imply or at all suggest that we have disregarded her loss in the slightest. When something as upsetting as this happens, there's one key thing we must consider and that is privacy. We have absolutely no right to publicise the loss of a staff member and would never do so without explicit permission from their family. There is no need for a "system" or "checks and balances" for dealing with the loss of a staff member. I also would say its rather inhumane to suggest that this is now a precedent. Someone lost their life, we are not setting a law. It is incredibly sad and so many people in our team and across the community are mourning the loss of their friend. 1. Bereavement is handled differently by everyone and so people are encouraged to speak to others. 2. Unfortunately, TruckersMP is an online community and there is very little we can do in official terms to support families. Furthermore, we have no right to approach a grieving family in such a manner. If they approach us then it is different. 3. Accounts are protected and won't be touched. Let's please also consider that questions like these can reintroduce the past for those who are struggling. The loss of Sanamaria was devastating and so many staff members and community members are still struggling to come to terms with that. Lets please avoid publicly asking these sorts of questions in the future. Owen.

  18. TruckersMP Forum - Reputation, Ranks & Badges Up until now, the TruckersMP Forum used a rank system based on different truck cargo loads, with increasing size and weight as your rank goes up. Recently, this rank system was removed and replaced with a cleaner, more refreshed version. The new system calculates rank differently and more fairly, being based less on post count alone and more on other interaction around the forum. This topic will explain each of the new ranks on the forum you can obtain. It is important to understand the difference between ranks, reputation, badges and roles. Reputation Levels 0 points Truck? 25 points Unlicensed 100 points Sunday Driver 250 points Trainee 500 points Reserve Driver 750 points Local Driver 1000 points National Driver 1500 points International Driver 3000 points Veteran Driver 5000 points Driving Instructor 10000 points King of the Road! Varying numbers of points are given based on your interaction around the forum, from commenting on threads to receiving reactions and being followed. We do not publicly say how many points each action on the forum is worth, however it is carefully balanced to give the fairest and most equal experience. 20. Hi, the blog post of the 2nd july 2019 was the beginning of the "Road to Simulation" change to TruckersMP. Considering this, will there ever be an enforced speed limit for both cars < 3,5t and trucks > 7,5t to enhance the simulation? Greetings

  25. Hello, Please check out this question as well for some more insight. NCZ cities are not a permanent thing. Duisburg being made into a NCZ was just a trial and a coping method while we were working on new modifications to the city, because the previous ones broke with a game update. As Luna explained above, other projects have meant that progress on the Duisburg rework is slower than we had hoped, however it is still an ongoing thing and will happen eventually. Our Add-On Management and Game Moderation Management are actively looking at Calais to see what we can do to improve the traffic flow, in the form of map edits such as traffic lights or different prefabs for the F7, etc. Making it a NCZ is not something we plan to do, as we feel that the traffic flow in Calais is already far better than in Duisburg so there is no need to make the city a NCZ. Thank you for your question.

  26. The comment you quoted was in relation the magnitude of reports, not about bans. A proportion of the reports that we receive is not really necessary. As you have now seen, we receive a very large number of reports in a year and it would thus help us if we could prevent people from reporting stuff to us that is not really worth it. We can then focus on activities where our focus is needed more. In regard to ban appeals, we friendly request users to create an appeal only if they have a solid reason to question the validity of the ban. Apologising is of course not forbidden and we respect it when people learn from their mistakes, but it also implies your guilt. As we do not remove bans that were issued correctly, apologising and thus confirming your guilt will therefore not result in an accepted appeal. If we would remove bans after people would simply apologise, it would be rather pointless to issue bans in the first place. I don't think sharing this sort of information every month would be beneficial as it will get old rather quickly. Rather, I personally think it would be cool to share an annual overview that involves the entire TruckersMP team. The ideas are out there, what remains is a proper implementation. I will do my best to set something like that up for next year.

  28. Basically my question towards the TMP Team is, will there any be any special trucks like a 7,5t or 18t? since currently we only have 40t Trucks. If SCS or TMP would add those Trucks, I think it can give off some Cool combinations. Maybe with a 20t Truck and a Trailer like you can sometimes see on the Autobahn. Since you guys are adding Busses I think smaller Trucks would be a cool idea. Atleast in ETS2. (I dont know if SCS will step in and stop you guys)

  42. Suggestion Name: In-game Monthly Challenges Suggestion Description: There are a list of challenges users can complete in ETS2MP or ATSMP (depending on which games the user is registered to). Completing the list of challenges will grant users with some awards whether that might be cabin accessories, vehicles, paintjobs, badges, etc. The challenges will reset at the start of the month. Examples: Complete 10 jobs from Manchester Complete 5 jobs using the Refrigerated trailer Complete 10 jobs to Lyon Complete 2 jobs using any IVECO truck Complete a job via any ferry port in Denmark Complete 3 jobs without driving through Calais Why should it be added?: I am suggesting this in reference to the post below as it is sometimes difficult to choose which route to complete or which truck to use. Additionally, this should partially ease traffic from the C-D road and improve traffic in other areas of the map.
