Guest Posted February 1, 2019 Report Posted February 1, 2019 As others already mentioned, the fence is not the problem. People trying to race in/out of the private area, driving reckless or not taking an turn decently is the main issue. Sure, the problem will be gone with taking these fences away but what do you get in return? Even more people driving all over the place and driving at high speed on and off the private area. I see why you suggested this, but this is a solution with some disadvantages.
Skycouto_ Posted February 1, 2019 Report Posted February 1, 2019 Using the other cities around Duisburg would significantly reduce the problem in the city in question. Just an idea. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 1
enex SLOVENIA Posted October 28, 2019 Report Posted October 28, 2019 We should address this issue differently. This reminds me on wider roads. Wider roads don't help congestion because they invite more traffic to them. We need better way to improve human behavior or gameplay system for exiting busy places. Removing won't help as much as we would want.
Myau91 Posted October 28, 2019 Report Posted October 28, 2019 Those fences have bugged collision. A trailer gets stuck in empty space, when going too close to them.
russo_6599 Posted December 2, 2019 Report Posted December 2, 2019 +1/2 I partially agree, it would solve a big traffic jam, but on the other hand it would take away realism. I believe that the bars are not the problem, if not the education of the players when driving, I'm sorry. RR 6599
EliminatorPL Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 I agree with @Kehox . If the fences would be removed, it could cause a bigger mess. More players may drive on the sidewalks, etc. 1
Lukassrs Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 @Kehox and @EliminatorPL I completely agree with you. I personally do not see the reason for this. This problem arises only because people can't wait. I don't understand why the map should be changed now just to make people drive out even more carelessly. These fences are causing some problems, but if you take your time these problems don't exist and I think that if the fences are removed it won't get better but rather worse.
ScaniaFan89 Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 The fence is part of the service station prefab ( pretty sure it is anyway ), i had suggested making the ncz bigger to cover the road in the past but they won't do it & besides people would just exploit it to send others flying!
TeamDeer Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 Hmmm, while I agree common sense and courtesy would help the driving situation greatly in Duisburg, a map edit could also be beneficial to mitigate some of the common issues usually seen there. If a map edit was to occur, what do y'all think the best solution should be? To completely redesign Duisburg, without changing the overall appearance of it, or small changes such as traffic lights, bigger lane roads, etc.
CJMAXiK Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 I'd say small changes. SCS' legacy shouldn't be touched.
Osetaen Posted February 1, 2020 Report Posted February 1, 2020 If the players follow the rules, there is no problem. So there is no need for this.
Guest Posted February 10, 2020 Report Posted February 10, 2020 they don't need removing but what would work is if they where moved a bit to the left or right given players a bit more room to turn or just remove part of it would help if it could be done
Beep Boop Coming Through Posted February 13, 2020 Report Posted February 13, 2020 I think thats a great idea! because its so busy you don't have much chance to do a good turn. Also alot of people do decide to use HCT or Doubles there which in a busy area like that either clips the fence or blocks because lack of space.
Szymulewsky Posted February 16, 2020 Report Posted February 16, 2020 removing the fence will not solve this problem. the problem is players who can't drive according to the rules ... Some players specifically block or slow down trucks, and this causes chaos.
Eurosport59 [FR] Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 If you really wait that someone let you pass you can stand at the exit for more than 15 mins Allowing doubles was a nice idea but now there is so much trafic that we can't even drive them properly at Duisburg repair

Han causado más problemas desde que SCS los instaló, ya que nadie puede hacerlo correctamente, así que simplemente termina en caos Okay, but it doesn't make sense anymore, since the workshop was moved to a 2-lane avenue with a median, which I'm not saying works well now, but it was moved and the fences don't bother anymore In the past it could have been fine, good luck!
