I kinda agree but getting admin is difficult because in order to they must have a moderator first that then needs to show he/she can be promoted also finding good admin is hard. but i agree with this plus with the addition of "Arizona"  there will be more space to cover in ATS.

Cars are allowed in Europoort if they follow the rules about useless traffic.

As explaned in the latest rule review.

Cars in Europort - Kick/Ban *

  • The cars are not allowed in Europort as it is considered useless traffic. Exceptions: A part of a convoy or administrators. Please note: If you need to get from Europe to the UK, please travel via Calais, Amsterdam or fast travel.

Excessive Save Editing - Kick/Ban *

  • Modifying your vehicle excessively to alter the size of the vehicle. Includes bullbars bigger than the vehicle or trucks without a cabin.

Well, new things will always create new issues. I'm finding that with the ability to aquire a "car" without pre-approval has led to a massive amount of -18 members clogging up the shippers/receivers. A simple fix to this could be something as simple as a short application to become "escort" certified and aditional applications for other uses such as maintenance vehicles, company reps, and personal transportation. I personally have found a very helpful use for these cars by painting them yellow, strapping on some caution lights, and labeling myself as DOT (Department of Transportation) in an effort to warn drivers of road hazards such as roll-overs and road blockings. I believe that even something as simple as a quick tutorial for each use would help out dramatically on the servers.

do you really think people would bother watching tutorials on things or signing forms? all the trolls and idiots will do is get back in their trucks and carry on as always. the only people who would get penalised are those who follow the rules and does as they are told. The trolls, will just carry on, even if they have to "Apply" they'll act like sane guys till after they get approved and then bam, we have what we have now.

No, the best solution to all issues with cars is to Record, Report and get on with your life, no need for drastic measures etc, besides, the trolls will gt bored eventually and go back to what they normally do or they all will be banned if people keep reporting them in.

I'd love policing in ETS2.

There could be an idea to create a faction or some sort of, but then that's also a horrible idea.

People could ignore the faction, such as have no power about a serious incident.

I mean, that's actually a good thing to roleplay with, but it would bother a lot of people if that police faction would pull over every truck they see as "roleplay scenario".

At the end if I rethink this, it's better this thing remains for the admins. A thing that I would suggest though, why not grant the moderators to use the police cars.

They could take a peek into administrating in game, such as providing support, also have fun while cruising around and see if the mods are capable or still desire becoming an iGA.

While iGAs focus on reports et cetera, the mods can take a glimps into that world and mainly be active in the real multiplayer gameplay, which might be somehow great.

You can scrutinize an incident a mod just experienced way easier. Though that's just a little moderating, with rather more gameplay involved, but also with a lot of interaction,

which also could bring variation into the game.

Just a quick thought, I scrambled together, not necessarily serious.

Don't take each sentence as suggestion, just think a little about it. Maybe that or that would be possible.

That was actually expected. Hope some changes will be made as soon as possible.

I don't mean a tutorial video should be set up, I meant something along the lines of a user agreement like the one we all have to agree to in order to download the client for MP. and maybe even a rank such as "helper" or "escort" so we know they have read the rules for that specific job and know what they're doing. As far as the admins go, I've played quite a bit and have only ever seen 1 admin hanging out at the dealership in Bakersfield CA. You can take my opinion for what its worth but I strongly believe that the current recruitment process for admins is broken and a stronger presence is desperately required in the game.

I currently own a gaming community of 50+ players and I have no problems with finding good admins. It's not that difficult if you take the time to look and talk to some people. Just to be clear though, my admins are not perfect by any means but they know how to do their job and are very effective. I would just be happy to see a larger presence on the game, instead of just on TS.

^your gaming community sounds a bit smaller than our gaming community. As it stands right now, we have 953,000+ registered players, so with the whole community to look after, the manager's have to know their admins very well and not just on a gaming level.

So this suggestion is for getting new admins. Admin recruitment is only open internally within the team (I.e. Moderators and Support (I think?)) so that the PMs know that they have experience with being responsible team members.

As I always say: If anyone could be admin, then we'd have a lot of admins about. More admins = More likely to get incorrect bans, leading to more work for the PMs with incorrect appeals, etc. Then more work for the moderators with "Incorrect ban" and "My appeal was rejected" threads, and the unnecessary support tickets of "Why am I banned" and "Why my appeal was rejected?"- it has a serious knock on effect on the other staff members if there were just random people being admin.

The only recruitment to IGA right now is from forum moderator, and even then it can takes months from there. From what others have mentioned, the position will be offered to forum mods by the project managers to who and when they see fit. That is the only way, and probably the best way to ensure the team of admins are the best.

Obviously I'm not suggesting you hire just anyone as a admin. I clearly stated that it's not hard to find good people who can do the job. I completely understand the process in which IGA hires admins and yes that may be the best way so far, there is still the issue at hand of too many trolls and not enough admins in game. I wish I had the perfect solution for IGA but I only know my methods to which may not apply to IGA's situation but clearly something has to change or multiplayer will down in flames. I was merely suggesting a few options to e considered.

In fact, there are more admins now than a year ago, so if you think that currently the trolls are destroying the game, imagine how it was back then. And MP playerbase didn't go down, on the contrary, it's been growing constantly. Most trolls are smart enough to not be caught ingame, that's why offline reports are so important. If you grab a video of a troll doing his thing and file a report, there's no way he can escape. I can agree that a larger number of admins would be helpful to deal with all those reports, both offline and online, appeals, etc. but if the managers started naming IGAs out of the blue (even if those new admins are well known and trustworthy), it would be unfair to all forum moderators who could be waiting to be promoted. That's why the process must be followed. If the managers think there's a need for more admins, they'll accelerate the process by promoting FM into IGA and hiring new FMs to fill the vacancies.

Cars are seriously ******* this game up! I've been away for about a month and a bit but return to this mess! Only today I've been rammed by cars who deliberately drive into me from their side of the road and cars playing chicken with trucks so the truckies end up  in the ditch while trying to avoid them. All it's done is tie up the mods and admins with more work. Before any of you say "..oh but there have always been trolls.." at least trucks had their limits compared to cars!
