    Just out of curiosity, why does double-posted topics get archived (trashed) instead of just deleted?

    In some situations, the whole "Recent Topics" board on the forums have been completely filled up with a multiple-posted topic, and then it stays there for a period of time "blocking" all the other recent topics because it gets trashed (technically archived) and not deleted.

     

    Is there a specific reason for that, or has it just been like that?

      because the function to delete stuff was removed from forum moderators' permissions

      Sometimes if someone posts like 5-10 different posts, I just move and Hide to get them out of the Recent Topics
