  1. Might use this thing for the event on the 13th (and 14th if I can make it). :)

What @DerAmpelmann said. But to be more specific, on the 13th and 14th there will be a race event taking place.

  2. Alright, then! Scrap what I said there. I was wrong. The best choice is DEFINITELY a 310 HP Iveco Stralis with a 6x4 chassis and 12-speed gearbox. That seems like a good average time, I'd say! It took me about 19 minutes, though I used a slightly different route which apparently is longer. I gotta test my time with the "normal" route. Speaking of how people will perform on the weekend and disqualifications... hey @El1teZombiezHD ,may I inquire what will happen to those racers who lose connection for whatever reason or their game crash during the event? Will that also disqualify them?
  3. I just uncrated a second Furry Paintjob on Rocket League. I already got one and wish I could trade it for something else with someone but I've no one to trade with. :(

It's an import paint finish. This is what it looks like on a car.

  4. I just had a match of Rocket League where there was nothing but DeLoreans, including my own car. lol I lost the match thanks to a crappy team (as usual :\), but it was fun hearing and seeing all those DeLoreans boost all over the place. XD

Why didn't you just go back in time to make your team win?

Or maybe that's what the other team did because in another reality your team won
But maybe in that reality your team won because you went back in time to make your team win

      IDK time is confusing.

  5. If I may, so far my recommendation is the Volvo FH16 Classic. I am working on that performance test video and so far, the Volvos are the ones who did the best in all cornering tests. I took the Classic for two drives down the race route and it did great, there. (I haven't got to test the Mercedes, Scania R, Volvo FH16 Classic or the DAF Euro 6 for the video, yet.)
  6. The tests, so far:

    Volvo FH16 4x2

    0 to 100 KM/h: 10.79 seconds

    100 KM/h to 0: 3.49 seconds

    Top speed:  152 KM/h

    Sharp cornering at 50 KM/h: 5/5

    Sharp cornering at 80 KM/h: 5/5

    Sharp cornering at 90 KM/h: 3/5

    Sharp cornering at 100 KM/h: 0/5

    Wide cornering at 50 KM/h: 5/5

    Wide cornering at 80 KM/h: 4/5

    Wide cornering at 90 KM/h: 3/5

    Wide cornering at 100 KM/h: 5/5

    Volvo FH16 6x4

    0 to 100KM/h: 12.09 seconds

    100KM/h to 0: 3.66 seconds

    Top speed:  152 KM/h

    Sharp cornering at 50KM/h: 5/5

    Sharp cornering at 80KM/h: 4/5

    Sharp cornering at 90KM/h: 4/5

    Sharp cornering at 100KM/h: 0/5

    Wide cornering at 50 KM/h: 5/5

    Wide cornering at 80 KM/h: 5/5

    Wide cornering at 90 KM/h: 4/5

    Wide cornering at 100 KM/h: 4.5/5

    Scania Streamline 4x2

    0 to 100KM/h: 10.73  seconds

    100KM/h to 0: 3.52 seconds

    Top speed:  166 KM/h

    Sharp cornering at 50KM/h: 5/5

    Sharp cornering at 80KM/h: 5/5

    Sharp cornering at 90KM/h: 0/5

    Sharp cornering at 100KM/h: 0/5

    Wide cornering at 50 KM/h: 5/5

    Wide cornering at 80 KM/h: 4.5/5

    Wide cornering at 90 KM/h: 2.5/5

    Wide cornering at 100 KM/h: 1/5

  7. This is an interesting development!

Someone suggested me to check if different tires affect the top speed (for that performance test thing I am working on) and I just did. I tested two different tire sets on the same flat and straight stretch of road.

I got the top speed I collected from the first test I did with a Volvo FH16 4x2 using a certain specs configuration and equipped with the 385/65 Michelin X Line Energy F tires set on all wheels. That gave this Volvo a top speed of 152 KM/h. Next I swapped the tires for the base-game 315/70 Runner tires set (which are smaller than the Michelin I chose) and that gave the exact same Volvo with the exact same specs but different tires a top speed of 143 KM/h.

Isn't that interesting!? Who would have thought! Turns out the DLC tires aren't simply an aesthetic thing. They actually do have physics/mechanics of their own!

Hmm, yes, there is that, too. Though I am not going to test every single aspect of each and every single component. That's too much stuff.

    3. LordBenji

      LordBenji

I'm using the tires that have the least resistance. And my trailer has a little bit of negative cargo mass. And no offset on center of gravity. And max trailer stability. But as a guy who doesn't like to use C-D road like a race track, I'm still wondering why I'm doing all of that.

    4. A Simple Cheeseburger

      A Simple Cheeseburger

I just pick whatever ones have the best fuel mileage.

  8. ^ Only base-game trucks, @Killua (DavidOC93). No modifications. That has been explained before. So no things such as a Renault Magnum with a 750HP Volvo engine, for example.
  9. Advice for all the players who will participate on the anniversary races on the 13th and 14th:

Be aware of the train tracks. If it is already flashing red when you approach it, do not think you can make it and try to race through.

      Mike Dragon

Hmm, yes. I know it is possible to get though when it's flashing red if you time it right, though in the context of a race it is best to not take the risk. 'Cause if you fail, smashing into the gates will cost you the competition.

  13. Do not question this video. Just bear in mind that today's Friday.

  14. Here we go. It's up. I am fairly certain this person is using a speed hack. That acceleration seems abnormally quick. Even for a Volvo.

  15. I have strong reasons to believe I have just caught someone using a speed hack on ETS2. Evidence is being uploaded, right now.

  16. What I think when I'm on ETS2 or ATS and I hear someone honking for no actual reason:

  17. Oh yeah. It looks much better, now. :)

Not gonna bother with changing how Explorer looks, though. It can be done and I know the means to do it. Just don't want to bother with it.

The application is Rainmeter. You can find all kinds of stuff to add to your desktop with it. Takes a little bit of time to learn how to use it well and it takes up bit RAM, but I would say it's worth it.

Install it and go to their DeviantArt gallery to find skins.

  18. Welp... been playing around with making Windows 10 look more like Windows 7 for the past three hours and I think I just broke it completely. lol

Same here mate had to format the weekend still trying to make it look like win7 haha seems a lot smoother tho :D

  19. A friend gifted me Yooka Laylee on Steam a couple days ago. I'm enjoying it quite a lot! It's a fun game. :) My one and only complaint so far, which also seem to be the major complaint of most, is the camera.

They could have done a better job with it or at least have added the possibility to control it manually if the player so desire. It can be played with keyboard and mouse and with a controller on the PC. I'm using a controller and that right analog stick could very well be used to control the camera manually like most other games of the genre do. But as it is for now, the right analog stick does absolutely nothing and cannot even be set to do something. At least the camera is not too bad. *shrugs*

  20. I just finished a delivery to a town in France (DLC region) and I gotta say... if it wasn't for the fact that people speak French, the signs are all in French and it's full of French cars, I'd live there. It's so pretty!

Français : Les péages et les carrefours giratoires en France sont très présents, c'est vrai. Et nous avons des paysages variés magnifique, je suis d'accord.

English : Tolls and roundabouts in France are very present, it is true. And we have a lot of different beautiful scenery, I agree with you. ;)

  21. Today's Saturday and I am installing Windows in a Windows that is running in Windows. :I

    Z7Y9lD7.png

In other words... I'm installing Windows 98 under Windows 2000 while it runs under Windows 7. And it's fun.

    1. DerAmpelmann

      DerAmpelmann

Riiiiiiight... Are you running the Windows 2000, cuz you couldn't get the 98 running under Windows 7 just for fun or the 98 under 2000 too just for fun.

  22. So, about that performance test video I plan on making. I've already selected a few trucks, all with similar specs of my choice and right now I was planning the tests. The following are what I came up with:

    - Acceleration time (0 to 100 KM/h in ?? seconds);

    - Top speed;

    - 90° cornering at 50KM/h;

    - 90° cornering at 80KM/h;

    - 90° cornering at 100KM/h;

    Am I missing anything?

Is this for that race mike? if you know the track layout cant u turn traffic off on sp and set some times to compare them?would give you a better ideal of handling etc

    3. LordBenji

      LordBenji

Braking can be adjusted... For testing ideas, maybe like lap time (times 3) at a certain location of your choice.

    4. Mike Dragon

      Mike Dragon

I am only using default settings, @LordBenji.

Nobody knows what the route will be, @stilldre1976. Elite will only announce the starting point and finishing point close to the day of the race and then the racers will have to decide their own route.

I included braking time, @PrototypeGR. Thanks!

  23. So I bought a second monitor. Simple stuff, though. LED, 18.5' and only a single VGA connector. No HDMI or anything. I bought it mostly for work so I can work on a client's computer (whenever I have one over for maintenance) and keep doing my stuff on my own while still being able to see what is going on with the other PC without having to switch display modes on my current monitor. A second screen will be really practical for me work-wise. And when I'm not using it for work, I can simply hook it to my own PC and get some extra space to work with.

Say for instance... I want to play with a VM while watching a video on YouTube. I can have the VM in a screen and the browser in another so they won't overlap and block my sight. :D Well, you know well how a dual screen setup works. lol

Now I'll just need to buy a active displayport to VGA adapter and figure out how to "install" the new screen above my current one. That bit's gonna be tricky. :\

    1. TrademarkGamer

      TrademarkGamer

Prob have to get a monitor arm
