This month, we are heading over to Austria where we will have a pleasant journey towards the destination of Nuremberg, Germany. The event takes place on the 14th July 2024 at 17:00 UTC Information The convoy duration is estimated to be around 90 minutes, possibly a bit more if you're near the rear! No breaks are scheduled, but you are welcome to pull over in a safe place if you require to do so! The event post and temporary rules can be found here. You can find the departure in your time by zone following this link. Route Parking You may park at any company available in Vienna with a no collision zone (NCZ). Depending on the capacity required we may block some companies off with signs and barriers, so ensure you head to a company that is open. There is plenty of space, please do not park on pavements. Greetings truckers! Our most remarkable event is back for 2024! That's right, Real Operations will be returning for its sixteenth edition! Our upcoming Real Operations will be hosted on Euro Truck Simulator 2! This event will feature lots of vehicles and many operations. During our last event, we hit well over 3,500 players, creating the most action-packed European roads you will have ever seen! As this is one of TruckersMP’s biggest events of the year, everything will be happening in real-time for you and your fellow truckers to witness! From emergency vehicles responding to incidents, including; fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances, to dynamic custom roadworks, rescue missions, and even police chases! To create a more immersive experience, during the event, you may find that an operation could occur right in front of your eyes. Real Operations V16 Make sure you add the date into your calendar so you do not miss the long-awaited event! We're very excited to confirm the event will be live on Saturday 27th July 2024 between the hours of 15:00 - 19:00 UTC. That's four hours to experience the Real Operations. To join, just launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 via the TruckersMP launcher and select Real Operations V16 located at the top of your server list! If you're not sure when you can play in your timezone, please refer to our Alternative Timezones. Real Ops V16 will be held around eight different cities ranging from Hamburg, Hanover, and Erfurt. All of the cities and roads where the operations take place are shown in the event zone map below. As a reward for joining the Real Operations V16 event, you will receive a special reward on your profile which is unique to this event only! During Real Operations, you may choose to start in any city marked on the area of play above. You may take a job from one city to another in the area of play, or use your own trailer if you’ve purchased one. Please note, that the event does not just occur on the red route indicated above, but also inside the entire area, so make sure to take a trip down every road to not miss any operations! All participants are welcome to roam freely in the highlighted area of play above to allow you to experience any route you choose. Want to check out that awesome operation again? You can always return to the operation by turning around safely such as using a junction or simply going around in a circle! Just don't stop in a live lane! Some important details if you want to join: This is going to be a unique event and as such the Temporary Rules have been adjusted to guarantee it runs smoothly. Game Development Team Recruitment From the 5th of July until the 9th of August, we will be looking for talented individuals to join our Game Development Team. As a Game Developer at TruckersMP, you will be working as a team to create new features for players and the community to enjoy, working closely with other departments to plan and debug features, improving internal systems, and so much more. We also value time management and communication skills. Core Requirements Familiarity with TruckersMP and its rules Must have a website account that is at least 12 months old Must have a forum and Discord account for internal communication Must be at least 16 years old No bans or forum/Discord punishments within the last 12 months Must have no more than 3 bans in the last 24 months Good behaviour across our communication channels Must be sufficiently proficient in English (written) Good communication skills Resilient, active and flexible Ability to work within a team and on your own at times Eager to learn and progress your knowledge Organised and adaptive Be able to accept constructive criticism We are specifically looking for people who have: Deep knowledge of C++ Familiarity with Visual Studio 2022 The ability to debug and optimize code An understanding of game engine architecture This position does not require any specific language skills, however, English proficiency is still a requirement as per the Core Requirements. I think making it paid should not be the solution, because there are many players who really play this game according to the rules and many more players are coming. Everyone's financial purchasing power is not the same, Ets2 and DLCs are expensive enough, I think it doesn't make sense for TruckersMP to be paid.
