Mr.Finn 3
I like the G29, it's good for racing and normal driving in games, but it comes with shifter separated. There's also cheaper options. A good brand is Thrustmaster.
Rainguy 11
G29 is what i use. Definitely gets the job done well in both ETS2 and ATS

OmSaL 2914
I think the best steering Thrustmaster T300 RS GT is of course my opinion, but now I'm driving with the mouse.

sgtharley5050 66
I just use Thrust-master joystick and throttle sounds weird but works nicely if you don't have a wheel
A random Elk (D) 31
I have one of these old driving force gts by Logitech. It does the job well but needs some contact spray every now and then and its pretty noisy. But as long as it does the job I see no need to buy something else....
OfficialTrident 0
G29 w/shifter has to be the way to go!
AquaToast 0
I use a G29 and a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter. Just wondering what most of you do about range and splitter on your shifters? I used a few spare buttons I had laying around and a USB encoder and fixed the buttons to a nice leather shift knob I got on amazon. Also makes it easy to swap back to a normal shift knob when I want to play a racing sim
BarkingRat 14
I've used a G27 for 5 years and I've recently upgraded to a Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari Alcantara Edition + Thrustmaster TH8A shifter. Even though I used to think the G27 was one of the best wheels out there, the difference between it and the T300 is night and day If you've had a G27/29 for a while and you're looking for an upgrade, this is definitely the right choice
Titanic4 704
As for now I have G29 with G27 used as shifter adapter. All though the shifter will work fine with G29, I would lose 12 additional buttons, which could be assigned in-game, such as: Range switch, beacons, since the G29 won't recognize anything other than the shifter itself. Jbu1337 107
I have a T300-RS with a TH8A shifter and T3PA-Pro pedals. Everything is really good, except that the wheel/motor makes some weird sound sometimes.

Dylan R 594
I’ve had my Logitech G29 + H-Shifter for over 2 years and both are still working perfectly. I always used to use my shifter with simple automatic, but recently started using manual. I also use TrackHat for head tracking which i’ve been using for just over 6 months and now wouldn’t be able to go without it.
_Puma_ 22
I also have the T150 with the Thrustmaster pedals with a clutch and i love it! I have it for about 3 years and never thought about upgrading to new one

Smiddy1050 406
I like to use my G27 with the shiftier since i prefer it over the new steering wheels but you can only get them used nowadays since they don't make them brand new anymore sadly
Rincewind 10
I use the G29 because it has a lot of buttons so you can easily reach everything you need, like parking brake, lights, horns, engine toggle, trailer, indicators, shift toggle and even a d-pad for looking around. However one big issue I'm having which G27 does better is the G29 not having any buttons on the shifter, which means that all your buttons are on the wheel and if you want to toggle gears while going around a corner it's all upside down and mirrored so it requires a bit of fiddling. To be perfectly honest I think using G29 plus a xbox controller on the side for some rudimentary fixed actions is the best solution (or getting a shifter that has a toggle switch). ImmAdam 0
Hey, I use a G29 with H-Shifter and it is actually a really good brand new option to get into steering wheels, other than the G27 which is a good second-hand option.
