Launcher two factor support

Recommended Posts

Suggestion Name: TMP Launcher two factor support.

Suggestion Description: Apply 2FA that is setup via https://truckersmp.com/profile/settings to the launcher.

Any example images: N/A

Why should it be added?: While having 2FA for the website is nice, if a user somehow does get their password leaked it is still possible to log into their in-game account, while it can be checked through IP Addresses the whole situation could be avoided by forcing the user to enter their code on the launcher or login screen.

+1 From me. 2FA currently only exists for website reports, appealing for a ban, and profile settings, which is not enough. Why have 2FA if its not usable across the entire service?

Gonna point out that this is planned, and coming in a little bit. There are a couple of things in the client that need to be adjusted to make it work well, so for now, the client relies on you needing to play on the Steam account tied to your TruckersMP account, meaning Steam's 2FA gives a level of protection for now.

+1 As seen above the work on it. so i hoop they will add it very soon.
If your TMP login leaked on some way you can always login to TMP ingame anyway. So Steam have then no more value.

Wrong. You need to be logged into the correct steam account to play at TMP.
