Suggestion Name: add IA trafic

Suggestion Description:add traffic to synchronize when there is not much connected there is still traffic
Why should it be added?:for less bored when there is none

Lots and lots of more priority things that will add features to gameplay rather than causing issues like AI could do. But it´s all about performance, cause... we all know 3/4 drivers are more stupid than in-game IA : P

This fluctuating ai traffic idea was suggested before, it would cause more harm then static ai on a set course (what I'm trying to do)

+1 on ai (still can't tell who's worst ai trolls or the real life ones)

-1 on fluctuating ai's

and the AI is dumb as you know...

Right... like us humans are any smarter... at least you know where the ai is going to go based on its signals and you know they'll stay in their lane too lol

for me personaly AI would be a big improvement for multiplayer but i do understand the difficulty too implent em succesfully.

When will peoples understand that it will NEVER arrive. Simple reason, more lags and the AI would use a slot of the server (Just like a normal user).

This is probably the most requested feature aside from double trailers, but AI causes many lag problems as it would be like Rotterdam all over the entire server. If you're wanting it because of the lack of traffic on the roads, participate in convoys! They are a great way to deliver loads with other truckers without being so lonely. There is usually a good convoy or two in a 24 hour period on http://ets2c.com/

 

Back to the AI topic, I have ]a feeling players would abuse them since in single player you can push AI around to block the road, but in multiplayer you can't push other drivers.

The problem is:
The server will need to sync all cars.

Today, without IA, we have lag and desync between players.
Imagine with IA cars/trucks...

The server we need to send to everybody the IA position and sync.
I think it is cause constantly lag and 'ghost' collisions.

Well when the MP team come out with those police cars. We should have pedestrian cars with in a month and that will simulate real traffic flow.

Actually I disagree AI being dumb... At least AI knows how to drive "better than" in most cases ;)

 

While I have to say +1 , it is very difficult thing to implement such programming into server, more heavy load and restrictional rules...

 

Let's see how it goes along stages...

But rember that if you enable the AI you'll have less slots available on the serv, I think it's not what everybody would like (Read this suggestion). So I repeat it do not spend time on creating suggestions about adding AI, devs won't enable it, not today, not tomorrow, not in a year

Every time, this suggestion is rejected.

First of all. The AI are beeing much smarter than the players on ETS2MP. Those who are saying AI drives worse than real players have defently not played ETS2MP.

You link a picture of Rotterdam where it´s crowded, but take a look at this pic. That pic is taken when servers are full.... As you can see not alot of players. You can´t compare Rotterdam to the whole ETS2MP-map. :PH6wQJa4.png?1

AI will not be added anytime soon, as they would require large amount of resources from the server, as the server has to run the AI itself, as well as send them to the nearby players (each AI car would require around the resources a player uses, maybe more). In addition we would have several cars per player often, as people spread out. The resource requirements quickly add up.
