  1. These are incredibly atmospheric areas. I fell in love with this area in 2019 when I saw it on ProMods while riding on the TruckersMP servers. However, I am eagerly waiting to see what SCS Software will prepare in the Nordic Horizons Expansion because I will be able to make World of Trucks deliveries there (unlike ProMods). Not only me, but I know that many people were waiting for SCS to start working on these areas, and they finally did. From the moment of the first teasers, I was wondering what it would look like in terms of the area. Initially, I expected a piece of Norway and Sweden north of the Scandinavia dlc, but not to the very north of the countries. Over time, more and more photos and videos appeared, not only from the production but also from visits to these areas by irl employees. One of the forum scs user has prepared and is updating a map of everything that appears from SCS and the scenario that the Nordic Horizons DLC will cover the entire northern part of the countries of Findland, Sweden and Norway seems more and more likely. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=11E_VmOGGxBHTmhyj3a3bzzMU8xR1Mv8&ll=59.48093104170583%2C30.731227566666195&z=4 Well this could be something big and impressive. Not only in terms of the area but also the beautiful landscape. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
  2. It's probably a tradition. If I remember correctly, a year ago such a situation also occurred at a similar time. On the one hand, the players peak during the Christmas and New Year period. On the other hand, many volunteers are taking a break around the holidays to spend some time with friends and family. So, naturally, I imagine that there may be huge of these web reports then. Additionally, January is a month in which there are still a lot of gamers taking advantage of events, winter mod etc. It must have taken a team effort and hard work to change the status in the web report system from the initial "Heavy" to currently: "Very Low" in a matter of weeks. This is always noticeable to players as they have a very short (hours instead of days) wait for someone to look at their report.
  3. In 2024 I would like to see in TruckersMP: Delivery book. Something like TrucksBook so a register of deliveries made on TruckersMP with many statistics and details such as damage, fuel consumption, history of the roads travelled on the map, etc. It would only apply to driving on TruckersMP servers. Possibility to see the video replay on the server. It is now available for some (upper staff & GM) team. Known for Game Moderation streams or simply in-game reports. I think it would be nice to see what happened around us if we didn't see it or just from a different perspective. Tachograph. Once mwl4 made a prototype. Something related to the simulation. This would be something special because even SCS Software hasn't implemented this in the games.
  4. Just like a year and two years ago. In 2024, I would like to see in TruckersMP:

      Not a bad idea 💡

  5. While in Winterland I saw the town hall building which IRL is located in Duisburg: IRL: https://www.google.com/maps/@51.4354377,6.7616366,3a,75y,257.88h,86.98t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s4fODW2zdEphSYU4XRCz5XA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 I'm guessing the building is covered in snow only for the World of Trucks event. Ultimately, it will be used in the rebuilt Duisburg. Referring to the previous information from my post, I doubt that all these things are a coincidence. In my opinion we will simply upcoming a Ruhr rework in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is worth following the SCS Christmas Stream, which will take place on December 19. I expect some photos from this area. Addintionally, we will see if they will show any photos (teasers) from the reconstruction of countries. If something from BeNeLux area appears, I can guess that a large part of CD Road will not last longer than a year in its current form. Regardless of how long it takes, it's good that TruckersMP has no plans in this regard.

  7. I believe this is the right strategy of TruckersMP Management. Knowing how it used to be, it is now quite good. CD road has been quite tailored to players. Among other things, Duisburg was created from scratch, rework a junction north of Brussels and one of the gas stations on the route was taken care of. It is no big secret that SCS Software continues to work in Germany and the Ruhr area (including Duisburg) may be something even for 2024. Additionally, a natural area for reconstruction after Switzerland will be UK or BeNeLux (with a large fragment of CD road). Map created by a user from the SCS forum based on material/signs found in game files/map editor.: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1ME9ZlxdS72ugCL2ywtnB0yn6ETX6448&ll=51.442760679403555%2C7.352908693742775&z=10 In my opinion, the map makers of ETS 2 will remake the city of Duisburg and it will become much more extensive (than in the 1.49-base game). If this happens and the city withstands the TruckersMP players siege should orginal remain. Addintionally, then the ability to use World of Trucks cargo there will return. Anyway, we'll see what the future brings.

  9. At this point it has been 6 years since I registered on TruckersMP. The first trip was from the South of Italy🇮🇹

  11. I don't know if it will be possible to implement something for exaple some switch on the TAB menu to change it immediately in the game or after a restart. This would be very beneficial for players as far as possible. However, maybe a simpler solution would be to create a minor modification that can be downloaded from the TruckersMP website. During Halloween, it would allow displaying default icons for a small part of the players who definitely don't want to see these things or are simply lost. Something for staff to analyze (probably for next year).
  12. Exactly, @Titanic4 suggested this type of thing in 2019: https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/topic/80454-player-version-of-the-report-demo-system/ Generally, I think that this solution (demo report system) would be helpful for players, but technical possibilities may be a barrier. Last year I asked about the current situation regarding this idea (since it was already accepted quite long time ago) Game Producer Smoky and received the following answer: This is something we need to look into and we have plans related to this. The plans are not fully the same and we still need to do research to see what is possible.
  13. Busy time and West Balkans DLC 🗺️

It was a bit of a busy end to the week. I completed my personal goals in WoTr events and the ongoing Halloween event on TruckersMP. Job Dispatcher helped me significantly in completing Steam achievements related to WB.

West Balkans turned out to be a great DLC. Hugely diverse, detailed map. There are many border crossings and toll booths visible, but the phenomenon of this map exceeds it. Because even these places are surprising and reflective of places IRL. I also encountered many non-standard access roads to companies.

It's also a demanding DLC. Interestingly, the CPU and GPU have no problem with this. The only drawback is high needed RAM, which causes problems for some players. Well, I guess it's time to invest in 32 or 64 to really enjoy driving.

  14. 📈 Records, numbers and other💡

    1. Yesterday, a record all-time peak result: 66,313 players ETS 2 on the Steam. Previous: (61,081 all-time peak - 2 Apr 2020).

    2. Yesterday a great result in peak 7942 players on TruckersMP servers. Previously, this was a long time ago, in June 2021.

    3. It took about 58 hours to reach the community goal of making 20,000 deliveries in The Big Pumpkin Pickup event.

The community goal has been increased to 50,000. Currently, 31,990 jobs have been completed after 85 hours.

    4. Opening https://map.truckersmp.com/  - you can see player activity on the farm.

  15. Faster Loading Times 🚅

In practice it's an amazing thing. Particularly noticeable when entering a ProMods server and loading everything there really fast.
