I know it’s easy to assume otherwise these days, but I can speak for myself on something I care about. You were right to call out the “just a handful” bit for being vague, so let me clarify. What I had in mind was a small set of simple, copyright-free templates that players could customise slightly to give their VTCs a bit of visual identity. Nothing over-the-top, just basic designs that stay on the safe side legally. And since all trucks in ETS2 and ATS are built differently, the templates would need to be model-specific - one design wouldn’t suit all. The larger VTCs likely wouldn’t be too fussed anyway, as many already use their own paint jobs in singleplayer. This sort of system would mainly benefit newer VTCs just starting out, giving them something recognisable to work with until they’re in a position to do more. Of course, anything like this would need proper moderation before being allowed on TruckersMP to ensure nothing copyrighted or inappropriate gets through. On the spam side of things, I’ll admit that point was a bit weak. I only meant that giving people a legitimate creative outlet might reduce the need for off-the-books promotion, but I get that it’s not a guaranteed fix. I understand the reasons why this may never happen, but I still think there’s value in putting forward ideas like this. At the very least, it opens up some healthy discussion. Cracking idea, @MatıGаmeгPL! I think this would be a brilliant addition to TruckersMP. Monthly delivery events with a proper achievement system would really give players something to work towards over time, especially for those of us who enjoy World of Truck events! Getting people to drive outside of the usual Calais–Duisburg chaos is a massive plus. There’s so much of the map that often gets overlooked – especially in the DLC areas – and this could really help bring those routes to life again. The achievement progression based on completed events is a smart way to keep players coming back month after month, without it feeling like a chore. Adds a nice long-term goal for more dedicated players while still being accessible to those who just want to dip in now and then. Including American Truck Simulator is a top shout too. The ATS side doesn’t get as much love, and something like this could help give it a proper boost. Wouldn’t say no to a few cosmetic rewards down the line either – profile badges or paint jobs perhaps – but even just achievements would be a great start. Hey KaliWolf, Really like this idea – definitely think it’d be a solid addition to TMP. Not everyone’s multilingual, and it can be a bit of a barrier when you’re trying to have a bit of a chat on the road with someone who speaks a completely different language. Having optional chat translation would make a huge difference and help more people feel included. The fact that the community’s so international is one of the best parts of TMP, and something like this would just bring everyone a bit closer together. LibreTranslate sounds like a decent option too – open source, can be self-hosted, and fits nicely with how TMP handles things already. Appreciate you digging up the older suggestions as well – shows this has been on people’s minds for a while now and definitely deserves another look from the devs. Fingers crossed this might come to fruition soon. It’s true that from a logistical standpoint, something like this wouldn’t be simple to roll out, and I agree it could easily end up benefiting the larger VTCs more than the smaller ones. That said, I don’t think it necessarily has to be all or nothing. Even just a handful of customisable templates or a tiered system could give smaller groups a chance to have some sort of visual identity in-game, without the process being overly exclusive. On the spam front, I still reckon there’s potential. While it wouldn’t eliminate chat spam completely, shifting some of the focus to in-game branding might reduce the need for constant advertising. And if nothing else, it adds a bit more immersion and recognition within the community. I get that if it were truly feasible, we might have seen it already — but sometimes all it takes is a bit of momentum from the community for these ideas to get another look. I see what you're getting at now, @Master*. In TruckersMP, it's all about keeping things organised and making sure everyone has a good time, much like how traffic management works in the real world. The rules are there to ensure everything runs smoothly and to prevent any one player from ruining the experience for others. Bans, whether it’s for reckless driving or breaking other rules, are essentially a way of maintaining order - much like getting points on your licence for bad behaviour on the road. It can definitely feel frustrating if you think your ban wasn’t justified, but the moderators are just doing their job to keep the community in check and make sure the game stays enjoyable for everyone. At the end of the day, it's all about keeping things running as smoothly as possible, much like traffic laws help keep the roads safe. Hello, @BeamV8! I think this is a brilliant idea! Having the option to display your VTC logo on the side of trailers would be a much more natural way to promote your VTC, without all the spam in chat. Players could spot other VTCs just by driving past, which would make it easier to find like-minded groups. It’d also add a real sense of immersion, making VTCs feel more unique and visible on the roads. The added benefit of cutting down on chat spam is huge. Instead of constantly seeing invites for VTCs, players could just notice the logos in-game, which is far less intrusive. It could even spark a bit of healthy competition, with people recognising certain VTCs over time. I reckon the devs could definitely make this work, but it’d need to be with approval for logos, of course. We wouldn’t want any offensive or controversial images appearing on the trailers. A moderation system could easily ensure everything stays family-friendly and appropriate. And, to keep it fair and tidy, it would make sense for only VTCs officially registered on the TruckersMP website to be able to upload their designs. Hi there, @Master*! I can see where you're coming from, but I don’t think having a driving licence should necessarily be a requirement for being a game or report moderator. The skills needed for moderation, like communication, problem-solving, and fairness, don’t really have much to do with driving. That said, I suppose it could be beneficial if staff did have a driving licence. Understanding road rules in real life might help moderators grasp concepts like following rules, making fair decisions, and keeping order, which could translate well into their in-game moderation. It’s a bit of a stretch, but there could be some parallels between road safety and in-game behaviour. At the end of the day, being a good moderator is about understanding the rules, diffusing conflict, and being impartial - things that can be done regardless of whether you’re behind the wheel in real life or not. Hi TedisOnTheRoad, Thanks for starting this discussion – it’s an interesting topic! I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Duisburg since the update, and overall, I think the city has definitely improved in terms of both detail and layout. It feels more immersive and well-designed than before, and the changes have added a bit more character to the place. I do agree that the junction when entering the city can be tricky, especially when there's heavy traffic. It’s one of those areas where the tight turns can make things a bit challenging. It might be worth considering slight adjustments to the flow there, just to make things a bit smoother for everyone. As for future updates, I think it’s likely we could see some fine-tuning down the line, especially given how central Duisburg is to TruckersMP.
