  9. We would like to invite you to take part in our general community survey, which will be held every year from now on. It is essential for us to continuously monitor the state of the community and understand your needs and expectations. Your opinion matters! Through this survey, we will collect your valuable opinion that we can use to improve your experience on our platform, whether it is a particular service we provide or your experience in the game. Your feedback will be analysed and used to develop strategies to align our services and your in-game experience with the expectations of the community. We therefore ask you to take your time and reply truthfully if you decide to participate. Do you want to become more involved? Apply for our user panel! At the end of the survey, a new initiative will be introduced: focus groups. While surveys are a great way to collect feedback, it can sometimes be more useful to personally interact with people to gather more in-depth knowledge on what they think or believe. Focus groups consist of active users with particular traits, interests, or backgrounds, and all groups will form a joint user panel to regularly exchange their views and thoughts on subjects relevant to the community. In case you are interested in becoming involved as an active co-creator in our community, please complete the survey to show your interest in this panel. More information will be provided in the survey. Click here to participate in the survey! Profit from participation! Apart from sharing your opinion and thereby influencing the future of the community in a direction that you like, you can profit in another way as well. To thank you for your participation and time, we will be giving away 10x €5 Steam Gift Cards to randomly selected participants! Instructions on how to enter the giveaway are provided in the survey. The survey is available until the 31st of July (inclusive; UTC time zone). Thanks in advance for your participation! The TruckersMP Team --> View post on homepage
  10. Hey everyone! From the moment we first hinted at the introduction of a bus into TruckersMP, the idea was met with great excitement from both our community and the staff team. It’s been a while since then, but we have been working extremely hard behind the scenes, alongside our new partners over at DBus World, to make buses on TruckersMP servers a reality. It is therefore with great pleasure to announce that you can now drive a bus in TruckersMP and play the game in a brand new way! DBus World was already available for use in single-player, but you can now immerse yourself and experience their mod alongside other users in our multiplayer environment. At TruckersMP, we always aim to provide a polished and refined final product for our users. Therefore, this whole project was a lot more complex than simply adding a new vehicle model to the game. We will be introducing some revolutionary and never-before-seen features, and we hope this will add to your gameplay experience. So what are we waiting for? Let’s dive straight into what has been added! A brand new way to play TruckersMP One of the most noticeable changes is the addition of the Bolloré Bluebus to our servers, which some of you eagle-eyed players had already spotted on our servers before. As mentioned earlier in May, this will be the only bus for now, as we want to offer the best performance possible without issues caused by file size and animations. Alongside this, we have also added support for the DBus World client on TruckersMP servers, which is a vital part of this addition. The player experience will be further enhanced by our custom bus passenger system which allows AI passengers to enter your bus. These passengers will be waiting at bus stops along the route you are driving and can be dropped off at the end of the route. In order to let your passengers enter the bus, you will need to stop at the marked area, and follow the instructions that are provided on-screen. In order to provide a realistic and immersive experience, the current and next bus stops are announced audibly in-game! Additionally, all bus stops are located in non-collision zones, so you will not encounter any issues at busy locations. You will be able to drive from and to a large selection of cities, meaning that the possibilities are endless, and in the future, we aim to expand the possibilities! So, how does this work? Thanks to our partnership with DBus World, the bus system on TruckersMP works directly alongside the DBus World client. This means that we are able to offer players the best possible experience when playing in this way. The selection of lines will be handled using the client, whilst everything else takes place in-game. You can find out more about how to install and use DBus World alongside TruckersMP by reading our dedicated knowledge base article, which can be found by clicking here. The frequently asked questions should help you with most common inquiries, but in case you need further help, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. As standard, you will find a large selection of preset lines that have been created in-house by our team. These are sure to be a great drive, with routes varying across multiple countries and areas in ETS2. However, in addition to this, you are able to create custom lines as part of DBus World! The process to do this is fairly straightforward, as we have compiled most of the information you will need to do this, along with providing a simple step-by-step explanation. You can find out more about how to create custom lines by clicking here. We hope you are as excited about this new addition to TruckersMP as we are! This has been in the works for a long time, and it will be great to finally see players hitting the roads, using this new system. Thanks for reading this blog, and we hope that this new feature brings a lot of enjoyment! TruckersMP Team --> View post on homepage

It is with deep sadness that it has come to our understanding that [DISCORD MODERATOR][GAME MODERATOR] @SpeedyTMP has passed away last night. He will be missed not only as a colleague, but also as a friend to many. With almost four years of service on record for the TruckersMP Team, we thank him for his continuous service and support, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and relatives during this difficult time. Rest in peace
  14. Hello there! The status reflects the status of the event request, which can be either accepted or declined, and therefore is not related to the date of the event. Neither do we believe that adding a conditional status to reflect the event date adds valuable information to anyone; we have a calendar users can refer to. We have therefore determined not to move forward with your suggestion. Thank you for your submission nonetheless and I wish you a nice day!
  15. We have created new API documentation, which was published last month. You can find it here: https://truckersmp.com/developers/api We hope this helps. // Done
  16. Our experience tells otherwise; it's not that black and white. It is not our intention to "bring trolls back". Rather, we have revised our banning structure to enforce more reasonable punishments with the values of the community in mind. We still have the means to remove players whose sole purpose it is to cause harm to other players. I would like to stress that reporting players is not a competition; instead, it is a tool to notify our Game Moderation team about troubled players that do not play according to the rules and negatively affect your gameplay. As mentioned above, if users play on our servers with the sole purpose to cause harm to others, then we have the means to remove them. The new rule change, however, covers players that do accumulate multiple bans within a relatively short time frame (which are not necessarily caused by intent) and provides them a chance to improve in the future instead of straight removing them from the platform forever. Removing players forever is an extreme punishment and should only be issued when necessary, but not as an automatic consequence of having n amount of active bans, considering that the context of bans may differ considerably. It is the nature of the offences, not just the number of bans, that matter to us to decide whether a user does not deserve another chance. Albeit understanding that it may seem that way, I can assure you that this is not the case. I hope I have explained it in a way that you understand our reasoning behind this update. We are aware that the number of consecutive players has dropped, which coincided with the release of Convoy Mode. In a recent blog, we also highlighted this and described some of our plans for the future. While Convoy Mode allows you to play however you like with other friends, our servers enable thousands players from all over the world to play together in an exclusive online environment; we aim to extend that experience in the future by incorporating additional exclusive features that the base game won't offer you. This rule change is not part of some shady plan. In fact, we expect most players that have had their ban inactivated by the unban wave have probably left our community already and will only find out they have been unbanned in case they decide to return one day. Moreover, this change has been on our agenda since September 2021. If we were truly that desperate, we could have easily implemented this change a long time ago. I hope this clarifies some of the concerns that were raised.
  17. Keep in mind that 3 months is a considerable amount of time to deny access to a game server. It is a heavy punishment that discourages repeat offenders while allowing them to improve their behaviour in the long term. Thanks to the efficiency of our report system, repeat offenders are often quickly caught before they can cause further harm to others. Additionally, if a user is truly unfit to play the game on our servers, durations may be overruled through the enforcement of rule §2.9 or §5.2. Moreover, our experience in player management has taught us that some players do indeed change their behaviour over time.
  18. We intend to do some tweaking to the search engine (such as searching based on exact match or contains string logic). Currently, all web developers are busy working on other projects, but we will add a ticket to the backlog and hope to bring this feature in the future.

  20. It is our intention to introduce this feature for everyone to use, as mentioned here.
  21. You can already check the evidence if users decide to share their punishment history on their profile. When they set it to private, we cannot share this information due to user's privacy.
  22. Hello there! Your suggestion was initially accepted, however, after further review it is unfortunately not something we can deliver at this moment. This is related to a combination of difficulties in terms of human capital, a significant increase in extra file size that would be added to each release every time, and the disbalance between the efforts it requires compared to the value that it generates. As such, we regret to inform you that we will not work on this suggestion at this moment. It may, however, be something that we could deliver in the distant future. Thank you for your understanding and your interest. // Rejected
  23. The reputation, ranks, and badges were removed and replaced with a refreshed version last year. You can check them out here:
  24. It depends on a number of factors. For instance, the load on the report systems determine where our main focus will be. The extent to which people are efficient on a particular system depends per person. In addition, as we share the total load as a team, it also depends how many current team members we have (i.e., many hands make light work). Some people also work faster than others, which could be influenced by experience. And of course, it also depends how busy people are in real life and to which extent they are able to cope with all their activities, considering that our Game Moderation team members are all volunteers. All in all, I would argue that being part of the Game Moderation Team is neither a hard nor a chill job. It is definitely doable for the average person, but there is a constant demand of activity that you are expected to put in. Since this depends per person, it is difficult to pin it down to specific number of hours though. I hope to having informed you sufficiently.
