  1. Hi there,

Usually beacons don't affect in-game performance. You have the option to turn it off per game settings, so I don't think we need to make any changes here. The changes that were done to the yellow beacons have been reverted and this includes reducing the brightness and range by a lot. Prior to the changes, one vehicle alone dropped your frames immensely, but this was promptly changed again as it affected the entire community, not just a handful of players.

  2. Hi there,

While I partially agree that the road signage should be swapped, you should remember that this is how SCS designed the road. Players driving down the ramp have the right of way, and you have plenty of resources that you can rely on in order to spot those vehicles before you even get there. The GPS is a very powerful tool that the player base doesn't make use of, and this allows you to see the surrounding vehicles from a good distance.

CD is very busy and you can't stop suddenly when you see a truck coming off the highway. If you stop suddenly, there is a risk of causing an accident to the following vehicle.

If you stop all of a sudden for unknown reasons, then it's the responsibility of the player behind you to make sure that his vehicle comes to a stop before colliding with you. At least 50-100 m distance should be sufficient here to ensure maximum safety. If, however, you stop on the give-way sign and the player behind rams into you, then it's obviously not your fault.

In fact, when I am driving on the CD road, I often see a truck coming off the expressway and colliding with a truck on the CD road.

This usually happens when players don't watch their GPS or blast through the intersection without giving way to others. Worth noting that just because you have the right of way doesn't mean you can drive down the ramp without slowing down and watching both sides.

  3. Hi there,

Having a non-collision zone on a specific route or generally in high-populated areas would just move the entire traffic to another place. For instance, Duisburg is now a non-collision zone up to a specific point, however, some players have noticed that it's not working out well as the zone ends in a very bad spot. This leads to accidents and players ramming each other due to not having any patience. Everyone wants to be in the front line and just imagine what happens when 20 trucks are driving in-between each other. That would result in a massacre.

The reasoning for your suggestion "To prevent rammers, lag and overall a better experience for the drivers." doesn't have to do anything with a non-collision zone though. The simulations servers are generally designed to closely simulate real world activities, and if we add non-collision zones to specific areas, then it will kill the simulation aspect of the game.

We've already pushed major changes to the ban policy and how we issue bans nowadays and that should hopefully prevent players from violating the rules. The issue here is that we cannot prevent somebody from ramming another player unless we go full NCZ everywhere, but that is simply not viable due to the reasons mentioned above.

  4. Hi there,

While traffic lights provide a safe environment to the area where they're placed, I don't think it will be useful here as the road signage rules the traffic very well. The issue is that players on the main road often tend to stop even though this is very dangerous and not necessary. If you have the right of way, you should make use of it, not stand on the road giving way to players coming off the exit on the right-hand side. However, if we place traffic lights there, then it will end up like Duisburg where players will inevitably ignore the traffic lights and perform reckless manoeuvres.

That being said, the intersection doesn't need a change at the moment, otherwise we would've noticed that a long time ago. There are a few areas on the C-D route that will undergo some changes, but that is still being worked on and will be announced to the public in the future.
