Definitely not gonna happen. SCS made the map, Truckers MP can not modify it and definitely won't even try. Too much hassle. Not to mention legal issues with SCS. It would, on the very least, require a map mod and would require all players to run the same mod. Include it in the MP files would certainly increase the download size considerably, chances of bugs happening would probably sky rocket and in the end of the day, it would be nothing but a pointless thing for the devs and staff to babysit. ETS2 already demands a lot from the staff on MP as it is. They don't need any more unnecessary work and we don't need a race track for ETS2. Such thing cannot even be compared to the Winter Mod we get every year, just in case anyone thinks of it. Essentially that mod is simply a pack of visual changes and has no effect on the map or the game's physics (the physics of the mod are disabled on MP).

Would be nice to have a track on ETS2, but only if SCS added it to the base game or one of the DLCs themselves. Not a mod. Rules are there for a reason and we already have one that clearly states that racing is forbidden. Found someone violating said rule? Record and report on the site. If you wanna race, boot up American Truck Simulator, head over down to Tucson and drive to the race track in there. That's the one and only place where racing is allowed. Though honestly, these games are not the place for racing. For that there is Need for Speed, Assetto Corsa, DiRT 1/2/3, Gran Turismo and countless others. Wanna race with trucks? Formula Truck 2013 has got you covered!

I apologize if I may seem harsh/rude. Not my intention but I couldn't really find better words to detail these aspects.

Some people should really get a license before even thinking about buying Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator. Drive safely, folks!

The developers can not change the map, it could cause them legal issues with SCS, so adding or removing things is a no-no. Those people who like to race should not be playing this game in the first place, there are lots of racing games out there, so if you see some other players racing, you can record and report them, although it can be difficult to prove that they were racing, as all servers other than EU#1 are no-speed-limits, so players are allowed to drive as fast as they want. Only if they block others' way or cause accidents there's reason to report and get them banned.

No, they won't. They'll still race around with or without a race track. They do that on ATS and that game has a track. What do you think will stop them on ETS2?

Don't believe me? Then here's some hard evidence, recorded in Phoenix, last year. A city that is very close to Tucson and thus, the only place where racing is allowed.

I reported both those players and both were banned for racing.

ATS's racing "rates" are only seemingly lower because the player base is also hugely lower. On peak hours, ATS won't get more than 450 players in average. That's not even half of the server cap. ETS2, during peak hours, almost always reached the server limit. So much and often in fact, that other three auxiliary servers had to be created to take in the excess. And even those usually almost reach their player cap.

But hey! You don't have to take my word for it. I am no effectively trying to convince anyone of anything. Just stating facts and giving my opinion. Just wait for the answer of a dev/admin.

But, racers will be less likely to do so on the streets and crash into someone and ruin their day.

But a race track would decrease the chance of that happening, not remove it all together. You'll find racing rates are lower in ATS than ETS.

I think you missed the part where TruckersMP developers CAN'T modify the base map. No racing tracks will be added, unless SCS releases some DLC including them. So the suggestion will be rejected, no matter what possible benefits adding a race track could have.

Use format, TruckersMP can't add 3rd party mods and can't edit the SCS map but this idea could be cool.

^ Like I always say, don't recommend Need For Speed, that game has gone downhill since 2005's Most Wanted. Try Forza Horizon 3 instead, you can play on PC or Xbox.

Some people in ETS2 will race, whether or not they are supposed to. So what I am proposing is that the modders mod the map to put some sort of race track into the game so people who want to race don't do so on the streets.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 IS driving simulator truck, in addition to the Regulations clearly says that the ban on SA all kinds of races except race track in the ATS.
If you need adrenaline, fast cars and excessive speeding is a lot of titles typical racing games and where you can race at will. :)

You know what? Big Rigs. Yes. Anyone who wants to race with trucks should go play Big Rigs.

^^ We get your point, I think. But like I said earlier, it doesn't matter how good it would be to lower accidents caused by "racers", the map can not be modified. There is no way for the developers to add a race track, so this will not happen unless SCS decides to stop supporting the game and gives them a "green light" to do whatever they want. By reading SCS blog, new trucks are coming, new accesories DLC, etc. So I don't see this happening any time soon.

It doesn't matter if you provide people with a legit track to race on or not, they will still race on the public roads, not to mention that seeing people racing is pretty rare to say the least.

the main factor is this, the TMP de s cannot mod or change the map, that's down to legal boundaries and all that, so this sort of thing will not get added by TMP, now if SCS want to add a easteregg race track to ets2 like in ATS, well that's up to them on whether they see it fit to be added or not because remember, ets2 and ATS are officially single player games.
