Truck Mods (Like the Skoda car)

Suggestion Name:

Truck mods

 

Suggestion Description:

Would it be possible to add some mods for trucks like RJL's Scania R/Streamline mod, ohaha's new Volvo mod, or even MADster's new MAN TGX Euro6.

Why should it be added?:

Less kids with their Skodas -> More modifications for trucks -> Better and definitely more enjoyable gameplay.

P.S. - Why did you even add the Skoda car into the game? It's useless, or even if you added it, make strict rules about how to use it (Like only just for convoys, players wouldn't be allowed to freeroam with Skodas, it's just harming the gameplay)

As stated and declined before. No Third Part mods are being added to MP.

No, because if they accept theses mods then others will demand more and more. Plus once the base game gets updated they will need to update the mod, plus all of the third party mods that gets added to the game. It will get to a point where players will never get to play because it will take too long to update, or it will take a month or 2 and players will complain. Any new additions must come from SCS.

This would be a spectacular suggestion for the SCS boards since they actually make the game.

No third party mods will be added. TMP spent a long time making the Skoda from scratch and it is and never has been a problem.  There is noting wrong with the cars, some people use them to cause problems but loads of people do the same with trucks. Loads of people drive the cars without issue. If you do not want to drive with cars around USE EU1. The cars are not useless, they do not harm the gameplay (some players do but they could and do do the very same in trucks so just record and report them)

This would be a better suggestion for SCS as only they can add new/more trucks - you can make suggestions on the SCS Forum here http://forum.scssoft.com/viewforum.php?f=5

TruckersMP doesn't support third party mods?.

 

Why is this? This is because, with the addition of these mods, the download file would be increased massively, which is unfair on those with bad internet/PC's. Also, it would require everyone to have that mod, and if they don't, players around you would crash.

 

If you don't like the Skoda cars, use EU1, simple.

Getting more mods ingame would probably decrease stability of the server + every time the game gets a new patch all those mods needed to be patched as well. 

 

A lot more work + bad performance.

 

Short they will not add any third party mods.

We won't add third-party mods; this is due to many reasons, mainly including the increase in file size when downloading, and fairness amongst the community (if we add one more like this, we would get many requests and arguments for other to be added).

 

This has also been suggested and rejected multiple times in the past, so please use the search function before posting.
