Forerunner
NOTE: to use this mod: activate in SP (single player), buy a truck/take a trailer, and THEN go on MP. These cannot be activated on MP directly. "Additional Customisation" Spoiler This mod allow you to go into the customisation shop and add/remove various parts that you usually can't. Basically you can have smaller or larger stacks, long or short side-skirts on any chassis for example. My "extended daycabs" and "minimised sleeper" are included with this, so disable the old ones. Paintjobs for daycabs can now be used on sleepers and vice versa, with the exception of the steampunk paints for compatibility reasons. EXAMPLES: Kenworth t680 - minimalist: Kenworth w900 - Minimised Sleeper with no filters and short stacks: Kenworth t680 - Short chassis with long side-skirts and roof lights with deflector: Kenworth t680 - Flatout 2 edition : Personal example - "Peacemaker": Download link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/5puu6ah6bxgw6h4/ForerunnerVariants_V2.scs (Replace old version) Link to my website page about this: http://forerunner569mods.weebly.com/additional-customisation.html Known Bugs: -Choose to remove door mirrors will disable your F2 mirrors, so have bonnet mirrors. -A W900 shortened sleeper will collide with the trailer on turns. "Chassis Options" Spoiler Note these are cosmetic only and do not affect the truck's performance. The trucks will be in the dealers already setup, all trucks supported (updated: 26/03/2016 (UK)). To customise them, buy a regular one and do this: When buying a truck DO NOT CHANGE THE CABIN, change the chassis on one with the cabin you want. DO NOT CHANGE THE RIMS OR TIRES ON THE HIGHLIGHTED AXLE(S). Video of examples being customised, showing how they look in game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0HlJ_ejUms Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/c0mi8qrwp937zy8/Chassis+mods.scs Link to my website page about these: http://forerunner569mods.weebly.com/extra-chassis-options.html Known bugs: -Changing the highlighted rear tires OR rims will cause a crash. (This does not affect MP in any way) -Only Steel wheels can be used. They are the wheels from the 53ft tankers. "Low Riders" - THESE REQUIRE OLDER GAME VERSION Spoiler To use these you must revert to version 1.1.x as the new wheel update causes the wheels to revert to normal when customising the truck. For those of you who like the hotrod look, here you go. (for those who are wondering, the yellow metallic is on most of my released trucks as that is the default my program sets) The download only includes extended daycab versions, as they are the most Hotrod like. You can change the rims, NOT THE TIRES, however the rear rims do not make much difference. Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mq2fc66v41n5gdq/Low_Riders.scs Link to page on my website: Coming soon Known Bugs: -Go slow over bumps, or you WILL damage them -Disable "additional customisation" to change cabin "Custom Trailers" Spoiler These are CUSTOM combinations only. Visit http://atsmpmods.ru/mods/ for regular trailers by Veloxby. Forerunner
and if it crashes the game for others you'll get banned? why remove stuff?(looks so ugly) they work fine, all it is is savegame editing basically. Remove stuff in case anyone does want to I tested a w900 without mirrors or filter on Eu2 and it worked fine and everyone kept moving and no crashes. And thanks for the motivation.(sarcasm)
Zyder
Some interesting designs of trucks. I like it, but may try in SP first, as don't fancy driving around MP in one of them. Remove stuff in case anyone does want to I tested a w900 without mirrors or filter on Eu2 and it worked fine and everyone kept moving and no crashes. And thanks for the motivation.(sarcasm) well I like your interesting looking trucks (tried the extended or LWB daycab W900 and it does look retro workhorse) As for peoples scepticism about these "mods" all they are, are savegame edits which just change the look etc, its nothing like actual mods which need to hook into the game in order to show up correctly, hence why these can be used in MP without issue, like the ETS2 light mod we could get where you can place whatever lights and beacons you wanted on all the grills and bullbars and roof bars in game, that didn't crash anyone because they are just save game edits (which are lore friendly) just out curiosity, do you think theres a way of adding the lights and becons from ETS2 without them breaking the game? or will that require a hook in order to work. Forerunner
I've actually been theorising and think it may be possible without a hooked mod, however you would be relying on everyone having ETS2. Short answer NO

Short answer NO I was thinking that, really it does depend on if people have ETS2 otherwise it could cause them to crash, im sure though that I saw a file which had the templates etc for the accessories for ATS, if so it could be possible without causing people issues, time to delve into the ATS files and see whats possible lol. OlavEmil
Ha, thats fun http://i.imgur.com/9BBXEdY.jpg...looks hilarious! I believe hideous is the word you're looking for . Nice to see some more customisation. I am really starting to miss that in ATS, every truck are basically identical. Hopefully, ATS will be as varied and nice as ETS2 in the future, but I'm afraid it will take time...

TomZeBomb
What is the question about skin mods? I have seen people's trucks have skins that are not from vanilla ATS I believe. What is the deal with them? ~TomZeBomb
Forerunner
not in MP.MP mods only work because the files are all in the base game, but skin mods won't. you can put Peterbilt skins on a kenworth for example though
[VIVA] Quad
This kind of looks like it would cause bugs, does it or no?
HumaneWolf
@gotyougarrett Mods like this one is allowed because it doesn't change anything that is in the game and it does not add more to the game itself, it just allows you to use what is already in the game in slightly different ways by editing your savegame. It is extremely unlikely that this will cause crashes, as all users have all the assets, and if the assets used are added by a DLC, the MP will change them with other assets if necessary. Now, whether or not it is pretty is a completely different question. Disclaimer: This does not mean I approve of this mod, it is simply a statement of the rules regarding mods like this one, which are essentially ways of editing your savegame in a slightly unusual way. Forerunner
i'm getting quite bored of the "Does this cause bugs" "Does it work in MP" posts, so here you go: And before anyone says it, the last 2 are my PERSONAL trucks, so don't waste time saying "looks ugly" as it won't change anything. ShirBlackspots
The problem here is that I've found that mods that are allowed in MP, that when enabled in SP automatically get disabled when logging into the game as MP, so I honestly don't know how you guys are getting them to work in MP. Forerunner
activate in SP, buy the truck(s) that you want. then go into MP and just continue and you'll still have the truck(s) that you purchased. once you have a savegame with these trucks they can be used with the mod disabled
ShirBlackspots
I was trying a very simple mod where all the trailers have aluminum wheels. Wasn't trying any mods to the trucks. Downloaded the mods from here: http://atsmpmods.ru/mods/
