Gas Station Expand on C-D Road

Suggestion Name: Gas Station Expand on C-D Road

Suggestion Description: Maybe you've seen that on the Calais-Duisburg around the Gas Stations it's a big jam. A doubled lane road in that zone would fix it, as the people going straight can use one lane for it, and the others can go in the Gas Station on their lane.

Any example images: N/A

Why it should be added: It would fix the most hated jam on the Calais-Duisburg, that can sometimes take a hour just for waiting at Gas Stations when you don't want to go in there.

The problem with a double laned road for the gas station would be that it would fill up very quickly. Also, you would have people going on on the straight lane and then pullng into the gas station to skip lines at the extra lane. That would cause collisions and with that, extra traffic jams.

If you would do the extra lane too long, the road could also potentially lose its charm for some players as we kind of all also go on this road to stand in traffic sometimes.

While i support your idea, revamping CD has been brought up countless times over the last few years. Staff didn't do anything from the time they revamped Duisburg to April Fool's 2023. They did a prank of revamping the road on ProMods. They didn't announce it and removed the update on April 2nd after the community complained they don't like change. And staff cater to the majority of the community.

A year ago, i made this suggestion

Because if staff really wanted to, they would of already made change.

The best choice is to either remove the two or move one of them on the other side of the road.

It is a bit rough but I think this would help a lot

I think we need bridges that go to the fuel station complex, because most of the fuel station traffic is caused by trucks crossing the oncoming lane to go into the fuel station.

Something like the image below, which is very similar to the Calais-Duisburg intersection just after Calais intersection, but completed with traffic lights to control traffic, the lanes coming off the C-D

road will have longer green signals to prevent backups, or the merge lanes coming off the C-D road can be very long or be a dedicated lane with a fence.

Another way to fix traffic is to separate the lanes passing the fuel station, with road barriers on the outside of both lanes, so the lane next to the fuel station can access the fuel station, but the lane across cannot, these fences should extend quite far to prevent turning around, the next fuel station should be accessible from the other side, so truck that are traveling from Calais, will have to go the the fuel station near Duisburg, and vice versa, I must mention that the lanes should be doubled on the fuel station side, to trucks going to the fuel station can go in their dedicated lane, and truck not going to the fuel station can skip the queues.

C-D Road should become a motorway to solve the traffic problems 😄

I don't think it should, I mean look at the April fools update, no one liked it, and it still backed up with traffic, so yeah I think the fuel station should be expanded or upgraded.

On second thought, the fuel station part could be upgraded to a motor way, but then that defeats the purpose of the C-D road, and the merge from two to one lane(s) would be a nightmare anyway.

This topic has been raised here more than once. There are many people who write about expanding gas stations and adding parking lots nearby so that people do not park at gas stations and thereby create additional accumulations of trucks.
But as we know, the TruckersMP team works too slowly. I don’t know what they are waiting for, maybe an SCS update? Which will come out in another 10 years...  5 years ago it was possible to reworked Duisburg, Calais, gas stations on the Calais-Duisburg road, interchanges, make a separate bridge for the train on this road, and so on...
But it’s better to add additional traffic jams and pointless entertainment for children, as was the case at the beginning of this summer near Calais.

TruckersMP works slowly, support is reviewed for more than a week, reports are processed for more than a week, in the game reports are generally reviewed once a week, God forbid, you rarely see admins in the game either. I don’t understand why hire employees who don’t do their job, if they don’t have time and are busy, then fire them and hire new people.
The team has about 50 game moderators, each of them can devote 2 hours to the game, thereby solving congestion on the Calais-Duisburg road, rush hour from 17:00 to 23:00.

You intentionally and voluntary  drive in an high populated area, which is well known for its traffic jams, and suggest to edit the map instead of simply avoiding it?

And who gave the right then to edit Duisburg, the Brussels-Rotterdam junction? Because there was a crowd of people there? Gas stations are no better in this case.

Your question is better directed to the TruckersMP team, as they are the ones who edit the map.

What do the developers have to do with it? You answered the player that he should avoid sections of the road where there are a lot of players.
In this case, Duisburg could also have been avoided, but it was updated.
This means that gas stations can also be updated and the problem of crowding can be solved.

As the decision to edit and editing itself is made by the TruckersMP team, your question is better directed to them.

Do you not understand me.

You wrote that gas stations with many players can be avoided.
In this case, Duisburg could also be avoided.
But Duisburg was eventually reworked.
Therefore, replacing old gas stations is normal and necessary.
