  1. I'd report the player for violation game rule §2.3 - Blocking* and §2.5 - Reckless Driving*. (Source: https://truckersmp.com/rules#2-game-only-rules) (Source: https://truckersmp.com/rules#2-game-only-rules)
  2. You are overtaking the other player on the right and might have been in his dead angle when he tried to change the lane. The other player fails to use the turn signal to indicate his intended lane change in a timely manner. I suggest to not report the incident, because you're partial at fault. .
  3. I agree. Additionally, I hope we'll see an long overdue update of the BeNeLux.
  4. I agree to @Foobrother: the map offers many other road segments which are more interesting, challenging and beautiful than the road between Duisburg and Calais.
  5. I'd like to see Greece and Cyprus being introduced to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
  6. If I were active on TruckersMP, I'd follow all national road traffic rules and game rules.
  7. Your answer doesn't relate to my post. Furthermore, our conversation has become off-topic. Apologies for that, @Foobrother. To answer to your post: I don't expect a video game to be perfect, perfect in the meaning of flawless. But I do expect the TruckersMP mod to at least match the basic idea of the video game it is based on, namely a simulator. Simulation fans don't complain. They simply ask that their interests are acknowledged, respected and being considered by the TruckersMP team the same way as of other player of this community. This is not the case, and not just since the start of the "Back to Basics" project. I agree that vIdeo games can be fun, and in the case of simulators can be even educational. And I wonder why the TruckersMP team refuses their coexistence. Have a good day!
  8. Two wrongs don't make a right. Your rule violation will be handled independent of another player's rule violation, even if you're both involved in the same incident. If you can't control yourself and start insulting other players, you should consider the possibility that you're not fit to participate in road traffic.
  9. The time period shouldn't be extended, because it gives reckless players more time to drive without lights which is dangerous. Why don't you use the /fix command to repair your vehicle or press F7 to teleport your vehicle to the next service station for repair?
  10. I completely agree. Softening the rules in combination with inviting back permanently banned players sends a crystal clear message: misbehavior will be tolerated and rewarded ! Moreover, it's a resounding slap to the face of all those who play by the rules.
  11. Every player who violates road traffic rules and game rules, and who lacks mutual consideration.
  12. What can be seen in the video is that the overtaking driver slows down his vehicle to merge back to the right lane, which makes the following vehicle appear to accelerate. I agree that the turn signal to indicate the intended merge has been used in a timely manner and gave following traffic sufficient time to react to the situation, e.g. by slowing down and/ or letting the vehicle merge back. Road traffic rules allow the overtaking on the right only in specific constellations and situations, and only with a small speed difference. The above shown situation however is not one of them.
  13. I don't cause accidents. As I use World of Trucks jobs, using Autosave doesn't restore any trailer damage and is therefore useless.
  14. They don't exclude each other, because a troll is not defined by a certain age. You actually did: The conclusion of your statement is that players on that road actually do disturb realistic simulation players (intentionally or not), and that you don't want realistic simulations drivers in that area. Out of sight, out of mind. TruckersMP isn't a live simulation. RIght now, it's a playground for "idiots on the road". Why would AI conflict with TruckersMP if it's implemented correctly? It's not meant to be used in the area in and around Duisburg and Calais, but solely in deserted areas with a certain (low) number of players per defined area. And sending players with different playstyles and interests away (to singleplayer) doesn't solve the root cause of the problem. But of course it's easier to get them out of your sight, so you don't have to bother. It's exactly the kind of behavior that the TruckersMP team practices. Again: nobody minds being overtaken if it is done in a safe and reasonable manner. If you can't ensure that nobody is endangerd throuout the whole overtaking maneuver, don't overtake. If you fail to do so, you are subject of being reported and punished according to the rules. IF you don't like that, just drive reasonable. Again, it's easier to send away those who actually live mutual consideration and respect, so you can continue to drive reckless without the fear of being reported and punished... Your disagreement is fIne by me and won't give me any sleepless nights. But from the perspective of a realistic simulation driver, it is very much a majority.
  15. How did you determine that the following truck driver accelerated his vehicle?
  16. The map away of the area in and around Duisburg and Calais is deserted, which is unrealistic. This would change if the TruckersMP team implemented AI traffic to their mod. The road between Duisburg and Calais has speed limits of 50 km/h, 60 km/h and 80 km/h. Realistic simulation dictates to drive at a speed which is safe for you and others, considering national road rules, road conditions, weather conditons, traffic situations, the truck, the cargo and your own driving experience. Therefore a realistic and responsible truck driver won't ever reach 90 km/h on that road. Realistic simulation drivers don't mind being overtaken, as long as it's done in a safe and reasonable manner. Unfortunately, the majority of players who hangs out on that particular road isn't willing nor capable of driving without endangering others. How to deal with this kind of players is the main point of this topic. Regarding trolls, I'd assume you wouldn't enjoy being bothered by trolls neither, would you? Multiplayer is a great way to make new friends and play together. It's definitely not meant to exclude others because of their different style of gameplay or interests. Also, any way of reckless driving is not a trivial offense. It's a violation of the rules, and it ruins other player's game experience. Last but not least, the road between Duisburg and Calais doesn't solely belong to misbehaving players.
  17. You exceed the maximum speed limit. You start an overtaking maneuver without having an overview of the course of the road or other road users. Driving carelessly and needlessly in willful and wanton disregard to the safety of others is considered a violation of §2.5 - Reckless Driving.
  18. Issue 4: Deserted maps away of the Calais-Duisburg area. As soon as you leave the area in an around Duisburg and Calais, it looks like as if you disconnected from the server. You will hardly meet any other player between Catania and Stockholm. The solution requiires the introduction of AI traffic. The spawning of AI traffic must depend on a certain number of players per area. For safety reasons, the area in and around Duisburg and Calais must be permanently excluded from AI traffic. Sorry for highjacking your post, @Somehow Lucky But I regard the realistic image of road traffic a key element of realistic simulation.
  19. One should always have a minimum of 1 report slot available, independent of the quality of former reports. Unless the goal of the TruckersMP team is to protect the offenders by making it difficult to impossible for their victims to report them. A 3 month period waiting time would invalidate many other evidence recorded around that time and therefore cannot be considered helpful in the matter.
  20. I'd like to see a (digital) tachograph introduced to all trucks, for the sake of realism.
  21. "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" (Matthew 7:3-5) You deliberately disregard the legal speed limits. You lack situational awareness and the ensuing behavior of response. You overtake in a curve without being able to see the course of the road or oncoming traffic. Questions?
  22. Sure, why not. As active bans can play a role in the imposition of the penalty, they may also play a role in the use of TruckersMP services. But don't forget that the TruckersMP Team's favorite child is still the arcade player, because they are the majority of this community. And just like in politics, the TruckersMP team doesn't want to lose the support of their majority, which makes your suggestion unlikely to be considered.
  23. TruckersMP officially supports reckless driving behavior since the softening of their rules. TruckersMP has turned into CalaisDuisburgMP, with their continuous and solely focus on the development of the already populated area in and around Calais and Duisburg. They continue to ignore to develeop and implement solutions to improve the deserted areas, which estimated represents over 90 percent of the Europe map. Fans of simulation and realism who want to make their voices heard are attacked, ignored, sent away or put off indefinitely. I'll come back once the team has become more mature and starts to consider the interest of their whole community.
  24. The CalaisDuisburgMP (formerly known as TruckersMP) is living up to its name by focussing on the only place that doesn't need urgent change right now,, namely the road between Duisburg and Calais. They are gonna continue to change the layout of the vanilla game by editing landscapes, cities and roads in the vicinity.
  25. A "like report system"? The ideas are becoming more and more puzzling...
