  1. I decided to try out recording directly to .mp4 instead of .avi to see how much of a difference that would make on file size, frames and overall image quality so what best way to it than with some high speed on an empty server with several changes of camera while keeping an eye on that Players Near You list for safety, hm? What could possibly go wrong, again?!

I suppose the real question is: What worked better, AVI or MP4?

I always record and render videos in MP4. But I usually don't go that fast with the cinematic camera on...

MP4's fine but AVI still seem to be the better choice when it comes to image quality. I couldn't help but notice some blurs/smudges here and there on tests with MP4 while AVI keeps it all really clean and sharp, though at the cost of extra weight in the file.

I don't, either. Only on specific occasions and only IF I deem it safe enough. That's why, whenever I do do it, I either keep the players list on-screen all the time or I check on it constantly. That way, if someone comes into my range, I have enough time to slow down to a safe speed in order to avoid any potential accidents.
