  1. 95% of cases we deal with are straight to the point and clear violations of our rules. “Light is red. You crossed red light. You crashed in to a player. You are banned” or when our rules specifically says overtaking in an area with more than 25 players is prohibited and a player overtakes anyway then that is a clear violation as well that doesn’t require any experience from the real world at all. Let’s take the classic stuck in queue and a player overtakes you and crashes head on with oncoming traffic. I just don’t see how my driving experience would produce a different result than a moderator with no driving experience. As mentioned, 95% of cases are clear cut and straight forward. Then there’s the last 5% that might need extra attention. And that is sorted as well with teamwork. But are those 5% really worth disallowing people with no driving experience from joining the TMP team over? I say no. &nbsp
  2. I just don’t see the connection between my experience and the amount of mistakes I make if I don’t know how the game works, what rules differ on tmp than real life and alike. You could put a real life police officer that has never touched the game as GM and that police officer would make more mistakes than a GM with no driving experience. The GM has experience with the game. Has been taught the rules and has been taught to analyse situations related to the rules. The police officer hasn’t. The police officer doesn’t know what to keep an eye out for in an environment like TMP. My point is, we are taught what to look for in the environments we work with. RMs/GMs are specialised in the TMP rules and how to spot those on a monitor in a virtual world that takes other factors in to consideration. We have great and skilled moderators across the team. And to be fair; there is a lower age limit of 16 years old to join the TMP team. On top of that it is expected you have experience with TruckersMP. Road signage isn’t the most difficult to learn and most people have already been presented to road signs when they turn 16. If you have ever walked around or used a bike you have already been presented with road laws, signs and their purpose.
  3. I have full license to truck and trailer (yes, including full sized doubles), bus + trailer and car + trailer. I have 10 years of experience driving large vehicles. Am I more qualified to ban someone for blocking an intersection than a GM without that amount of licenses? Am I more qualified to ban someone causing a head on collision by overtaking in a clearly dangerous way? Am I more qualified to ban a hacker?
  4. Sad to see you leave so soon! I hope you will enjoy the new team!

  6. There is no set minimum speed, but you should always be aware of players behind you. If you drive at a slower pace for whatever reason (heavy cargo with under-powered engine or just don't want to drive the posted speed limit) then you should pull over occasionally to allow players to pass you - especially if it is in a high traffic area.
  7. It is not a race to get the most active bans and you shouldn't glorify it (rule §2.9 might be a good read for this). We deal with a lot of repeat-offenders every day - players who never learn to just slow down, take it easy and show patience with other players. Showing patience really does solve a lot of issues on TruckersMP - i.e. being patient enough not to overtake means you're not risking a ban for an inappropriate overtake. I am not convinced that saving 10 seconds is worth risking a ban for. We have players who never learn to abide by our rules and then we have players with 11 year old accounts that never has been issued a ban. "What's the secret?" I hear you ask. It's simple: Patience.
  8. There are people with more active bans, yes.
  9. It's for the winter period. Not because of Christmas.
  10. Trolls will be trolls. Cars or not. Removing cars only move trolls to trucks without trailers. It doesn't remove trolls.
  11. Could be due to screen tearing. Change your vertical sync setting in your graphics settings.
  12. Suggestion Name: Have CB radio turned off by default Suggestion Description: Instead of having hundreds of players connected by default to the same CB channel the CB radio should be turned off by default for all players and players should be taught/told how to turn the CB radio on and how to change channels. Why it should be added: To prevent spam and protect players who not interested in the general troll behaviour occurring on the default CB channel.

    About game rules

You slow down and avoid a collision to your best ability. If it is clear you had the chance to avoid a collision but didn't do anything to avoid it, then the fault of the collision can be placed on you.
  14. If you go outside of CD road you will see players doing this as well. It can be difficult to spot in the tiny mirrors though.
  15. Happy new year, peeps! 🥳

  18. As it contributes to absolute nothing except for taking up valuable space, this is gonna be a big no thank you.
  19. This will only result in players spamming Moderators in /pm
  20. "We expect that SCS Software, who has been reworking sections of Germany, will eventually update the map around CD road. Our intention is to leave CD road as it is while we remain open to quality of life updates, such as the recent update that introduced a new fuel station area. These updates are mainly aimed at improving quality standards of the scenery and road textures, rather than major changes to the road itself." Source: Community survey report 2023
