[VIVA] Quad Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Just a thought but I would like to propose a new TMP policy in which events posted in the community events forum https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/forum/145-euro-truck-simulator-2-community-events/ won't be accepted if another event is on the same day. This is because some big truckfest and convoys are hosted the same day as other events in which bring down attendance and make things complicated in planning. So basically, it would mean that you can't host an event on a day in which an event is already taking place. What do you think?
[VIVA] Adam_C_F1 Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 I really like this Idea as this would benefit both large scale events (300+ players) and smaller ones (ca. 100-150 people).
[VIVA] Quad Posted May 15, 2019 Author Report Posted May 15, 2019 For further explanation, as of this post there is 5 ETS2 community events scheduled for May 25th. That means that those events are competing against one another for attendance and that it creates an unfair advantage for those event organizers. It also makes it difficult for VTCs to represent these events as VTC's tend to only attend one event.
ASIR Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Well, what about if there will be for example Polish convoy and another one will be Turkish? So in both events it will not reduce members count. Sorry, I don't agree with that. In your case it might be useful and helpful, but not in mine. Former Game Moderator Leader
MisterAndeh Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 This is a great idea, it would benefit organisers as they will be able to ensure the best possible attendance at their event, it would also benefit players as they wouldn’t have to choose between events as they would if two or more were being held on the same day.

Events or VTC's targeted to a specific language group are exceptions to my case, however, there are multiple English targeted events that are all on the same day in which still support my case that it creates an unfair advantage for those other VTC's who anticipate their target group to attend.
ASIR Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Well, then I support your opinion. Former Game Moderator Leader
DJ Jefferz Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 What you're saying is that just because one group is hosting an event that the other should suffer because they got in first. From my knowledge there are 2 servers which can be used for events if needed. Automatically declining another event because another is booked is just like saying Sorry we were here first, were the bigger VTC so we should get the players to our event. There's no confusion caused with 2 event servers IMO, So no, I don't think this is a fair idea. || Currently: || || Former: || || ||
Suleyman.53 Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 Hello @[VIVA] Quad First of all, thank you for creating this discussion. if you want to create a suggestion on this issue, you can create it here: https://forum.truckersmp.com/index.php?/forum/285-suggestions/ Have a Nice Night
MisterAndeh Posted May 15, 2019 Report Posted May 15, 2019 What would also be good is for TMP to have an easy to reference calendar of upcoming events so people can quickly check it when organising an event without having to trawl through the forum

Osetaen Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 It sounds good. I think there will be a lot of participation if done.
Matt Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Hmm, this is an interesting topic! Obviously, if there's only one major event: more people would attend that one instead of a distributed amount of players on two or more events. I don't think it would matter on it being posted in that subforum though in my opinion. I'm 50/50 on this one, best ways have their pros and cons yo
