Suggestion Name: Minimum Joining Requirements 

Suggestion Description: I have played Euro Truck Simulator 2 & ETS2MP (TruckersMP) since it virtually came out and from my experience I found that new players who join TruckersMP have little to none experience because of the requirements being too low.

 

When people register to join TruckersMP and wanting to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Multiplayer, I reckon two hours is way too low because this doesn't demonstrate enough skill and knowledge to play this game as a simulator. In my opinion, myself and the community reckon that the hours should be upped to at least between 50 - 100 hours. Because at the moment this discourages players who want to play this simulator properly and try to enjoy playing the game as it should be played. This would reduce the amount of trolls and inexperienced players, thus improving the experience for other players to enjoy playing on Multiplayer. 

 

This would be greatly appreciated by a lot of the community who enjoy playing this game properly as a simulator, as opposed to a free-for-all Grand Theft Auto like game-play so to speak.

I can be okay with the fact 2 hours is not enough to take the game well in hands.... but going to 500 HOURS ??!! It's a little bit too much, no? Imagine with a guy who can play only 2 hours max per days, it's he will take 8 month to gets theses 500 hours to play on the servers.

Maybe 50 - 100 hours would be better rather than 500 but still I agree on the requirement to be increased a little

I think 2 hours is fine right now, at least for EU2. Maybe the hours required could be server dependent, so a simulation server such as EU1 would have less trolls.

IMHO, there needs to be a good balance between troll-prevention and convenience for the user. 500 hours is very inconvenient , and could drive a lot of potential TruckersMP drivers away just because they got too bored before being able to join one of the game servers.

At the end of the day it's still a game. Nobody is willing to play countless of hours before being able to connect to an online session. 2 hours is just fine to know how to control your truck and to understand the basic concepts of the game.

 

We have no plans to extend the minimum hours.

I don't understand the resistance to higher the play hours? 

There's a constant loop at the moment:

The game is so readily available at very cheap prices which is why this game is targeted so often by trolls.
Increasing the play hours really would benefit the community as it would deter the trolls. It won't stop them but it will defiantly lower and control the amount. It also would show the dedication of people who genuinely want to play this game. Say increasing it to 10/15 hours would not only deter the trolls but for the rookies wanting to play it gives them some practicing time. 

Alongside this, I think by increasing it, the whole community spirit might be heightened and more pleasant as currently there is a very sour taste after a session of TruckersMP. People use chat and CB to insult and then continue to use the forums as a platform to vent.
