Hello there @Arf.

Thanks for your question!

Surely not.

I don't think there is any need for it at the moment, it would do more harm than good anyway. In past many of players used avatars that were against the rules and based on that they got banned and it would repeat it again. From my point of view, it's pointless. There are definitely a lot of stuff, other things to come in the future that would really spice up the game.

Secondary, as of my experiences I would say it can be also problem for people that does not have powerful computer where it can do a lot with loading avatars next to the names.

Good afternoon,

I believe that going back to the past would not be a good option, especially when we talk about players being banned in a way that they were breaking the rules and some did not know why they were banned.

With this change that we had to separate steam from the TruckersMP website, it is 200% better, because nowadays the player who is banned for avatar, it is because he really had the intention of doing it.

So I believe that the way it is, it's flowing better.

Thank you very much for your thoughts, answers and time.
I absolutely agree with both of your answers. But I think that when everyone really uses the avatar rules correctly, a beautiful appearance will be achieved in the game.
Especially with the developers making new interface and design related to avatar usage. For example, people can show their new profile picture just like their tag.

I thought it would add a nice touch, but again I agree with you, it's a simulation game, there may not really be a need for more clutter-inducing stuff.

But since we have gotten tmp profile pictures rn, so the devs can just re implement this but using the tmp profile pictures instead (i'm not sure if copyright stuff applys on pfps tho, cuz i'm using pfp with the sanrio characters which ... they are copyrighted for commercial usages, but since i'm using the image as personal use, so i assume it's fine?)

Maybe having a checkbox in the setting to allow those players to disable them? (with the default as checked or vice versa and ppl who want them can check them)

Sounds good to have cheatbox for activating in-game avatars, but GM's will still take an actions about inappropraite avatars. It's a thing I don't search for to have in Multiplayer.

Yeah, that's true, it could be implemented and given back, there also highly depends on the rules as you said about copyrighted content, however I think it would not be strict. If I remember well, there was a rule about (sexual content, political members, etc).

As it contributes to absolute nothing except for taking up valuable space, this is gonna be a big no thank you.

I can remember the Time, when there were Steam Avatar visible in TruckersMP. Mostly Politican and Some "Butts and Titties", like the Porno Spambots on You Tube! Both kind of Pictures were against the Rules and People got banned for it.

If i look Today on Steam Profiles, then there is not much Difference between P*Hub Thumbnails, Snuff Movie Thumbnails, Fetish Content and Screenshots of OF Camgirl Sessions! And of Course. they still have Politican and very inappropiate Propaganda Signs and Language!

I Dont want to see this Kind of Content in the Game and i dont want, that the TruckersMP Moderation Team have to deal with this! They have enough Work and dont need more!
