Shxn. Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Hello, I strongly suggest the implementation of a "Remember me" button for the 2FA Authentication option while logging into the TruckersMP account. It has become increasingly frustrating to input the 2FA code every time we log in, and I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience. Once the "Remember me" button is clicked, users would be able to bypass the need for the 2FA code for a convenient duration of 30 days.
Sunstrider Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I don't have 2FA. At least to my knowledge. I have the launcher hide my email and remember my login. What if somebody has a shared device? If they "Remember Me", somebody else can play your account and possibly get your reported.
djoh Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Entering 2FA on each login is the main method of protecting your account. If you want to use 2FA yet not be restricted in length of the login session - disable it. Longer session with 2FA is the same as you not having 2FA at all, so anyone can get on your account despite you having 2FA enabled.

The "Remember Me" feature only exempts the requirement of entering a 2FA code for 30 days on the specific device where you have chosen to enable the option. It's highly unlikely for anyone to willingly share their 2FA credentials.
Web Developer Kid Fabi Posted November 13, 2023 Web Developer Posted November 13, 2023 When you check the "remember me" box whilst signing in, you only need to put the 2FA code once in 60 days, unless you clear the cookies or log out / destroy the session. I'm not sure why we should make another "remember me" option when we have one already.
Martin_v8 Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 The sole purpose of having 2FA Authentication enabled is for account security. If you do not wish to keep entering codes, and you wish to be remembered (or log in easier) then just remove 2FA. 1
