AI Cars in ET2/ATS

Hello, I heard that there are works for AI cars once. I don't know if it is true or not. Or is it currently ongoing?

Anyway, when do you think AI cars will be added to the servers? At least it could be disable in crowded cities, but the fact that there is not even one car or any walking object on the highways does not give a "Simulation" meaning.

Yes, they have announced that they are working on the project of adding AI indeed so it should happen...

However, I find it very hard to believe that adding AI to TMP would work, or else AI would have to be added exclusively on a single server that is a complete simulation, without trolls, with well-defined rules and above all respected by everyone... because the term simulation does not exist on TMP unfortunately...

So, hope it will changes in the future, for them and for the community...

I dont think AI traffic is a good idea. Especially in high populated server like TMP. In the Singleplayer, at least one time U had experienced about the long traffic jam caused by a dumb AI vehicle which had an accident. If the AI applied to TMP, it's way more Chaos than CD road nowadays.

Yes, Ai traffic is a planned feature by the TruckersMP team. But there hasn't been announced any release date yet.

 

AI traffic is a useful idea to improve realism, if you consider that most areas of the map are empty.

 

Naturally, AI traffic should only be spawned in areas with a defined (low) number of players.
For example, high populated areas like the area in, between and around Duisburg and Calais wouldn't spawn any AI traffic at all, while most (empty) DLC areas would spawn AI traffic.

AI traffic could be permanently non-collision to prevent trolls and the like to cause any trouble.

I think that this application should be done in a separate server. Although it is a nice innovation for the simulation, there is no one who does not anticipate that it will cause incredible bugs and crashes on crowded servers. I am not very keen on this update. That would be fine, but it seems impossible to do, at least with the ride quality of the current audience.
