  1. Update it through steam. Make sure you are opted out of any betas and downgrades.
  2. and apparently (going from their facebook post) the servers is only using 2 cores atm (out of 8) so they are going to tweak some threading too. Looking good.
  3. It can be due to a wide range of variables - partly the server, with so many trucks say in Rotterdam it can't keep up with sending the data to clients (probably not it but could be). I've driven in the convoy of around 25 trucks and never had an issue but that was when the server had less than 1000 players. +1. I installed wintermod with the new update, drove with it or about an hour and didn't like the lag and bouncing - uninstalled it and havn't had much of a problem since.
  4. Its unplayable at 250? Its quite playable for me and others and I sit at 279!!!But anywhoo, last night every 3 Seconds or so it would spike to 1270 for a couple of seconds then drop back but never got kicked.
  5. Easy to add those options, espeically with an arduino for example. There are some that have actually used a real truck or bus dashboard and steering wheel - search youtube to find examples.
  6. Try the steps that Hoosier posted above, and make sure anti-virus is disabled when you download it - especially if you have active scanning/protection on as it will scan the zip while it is downloaded and if it thinks its a virus it can also currupt the zip. Have had it happen a few times downloading zip files - turned of anti-virus and all was good.
  7. Try not to be on the Public Beta, select "opt out of all beta programs" and see of that helps.
  8. Just keep trying, it took me about 10 mins of refreshing and clicking the button to get it to download. Website is just a bit busy.

Nope, but it would be good if they release a server program so people can rent servers and install it on there especially in other countries and maybe have them interconnected (so you connect to say an Aus server, you will be able to drive with people in the EU). Maybe one day when the player list gets larger.
  10. "The multiplayer community is slowly bleeding dry I feel, the servers almost seem empty." I don't completely agree with that, a few days or so ago there were nearly 3000 users online on EU1. They would have started before it was released (back end database, login system etc), but they could have only done so much until the new version came out since all the required addresses and pointers would most certainly have changed and it takes time to track those down again. Did you see the video where they did 8 hours of porting and reverse engineer? If they had more help from SCS and were given the required information then it would be quicker as no need to reverse engineer but that is not to be. I've done reverse engineering before, its not as simple as most think it is. Its not a 5 minute job.
  11. It is worth buying, a whole lot more relistic and you will enjoy the game even more. Heck, Im only using a Driving Force GT (which Ive only had a few weeks - used to use an XBox controller) which only has brake and sequential (G27 has H-Shifter + Clutch) and wouldn't drive without a wheel again. Both wheels have force feedback so you will "feel" the road, the heavyness of the steering etc. Get one, its worth the money and pays for itself.
  12. Maybe GTA v on PC for the first person but have the 360 version so not sure yet. The Crew, american truck sim and farm sim.
  13. New Volvo is what I drive most - done just shy of 60,000km in it so far.
  14. Just watched a couple of Minutes of the video, looks good so far - Think Ill watch them later on in the night. Is it me or are there not really a lot of videos like these that follow a trucker around day to day?
