    How do you deal?

I overtake all the time when I drive on empty times (500-2500) server, and it is very possible. You just have to be good at it and the person you're overtaking has to cooperate. Just have the GPS, be sure no one comes and that the line isn't continious solid, no incoming corners or junctions. Then easily downshift and have enough power ready to do it quickly, left blinker, make sure no one else is overtaking by mirrors, have a decent distance from your trailer to their cab and merge back with blinker, it's easy as that. The negative part is that some people are idiots and accelerate even more while getting overtaken, which is mentioned as Reckless Driving in 2.5 rule and can lead to a ban. Option 1: If you're halfway overtaking and a vehicle is coming from front, use a bit of retarder and merge back to your position with blinker instead of going nowhere in the grass. Option 2: If the person you overtake is smart enough, they will brake so you can complete the overtake safely before crashing. But unfortunately some people do not cooperate when you overtake them (I think they get mad??) or the truck you had behind will not leave a space if you are forced to merge back to your position. If that happens, from my understanding the other trucks would be at fault as long you were doing overtake on safe conditions: - No solid line, no corners, no railway crossing, etc. - No one coming from the other side in the GPS. You're right on this point, I've often dealt with some idiots that cut me while I'm overtaking because they're about to overtake too but don't check the mirrors, you'd need good reaction time but at that point just let it happen to report the player. When I find that one 60-80 km/h driver with 1 millon tons+ I lose my whole damn patience but your right anyways.
  3. Looks pretty good, will try it later today, however most C-D people aren't even aware of the forums and other routes, it's like they bought the game solely for playing C-D on TMP. So moving everyone is a hard task, if convincing people to move to the alps is hard, imagine to this one? I love the landscapes and I agree it'd be a better route but people are just stuck to C-D for some reason, it's just getting stressful at this point with how many heavy load & purposely weak truck 60 km/h drivers you see there.
  4. Anything that tries to look like Mexican, Chile or Colombian roads.
  5. You can use the GPS to know if there is a vehicle stopped at the front, as long ur reaction time is good and you brake you will not crash in this kind of situation, it's not neccesary to expand 2.5 rule and make it complex. Sometimes players are obliged to stop in certain areas due to any real life situation or simply a vehicle malfunction. The vehicle in front as a tip can use blinkers so the driver behind can react better. Conclusion: In your video, it is clear that in the GPS there is a lot of traffic, why didn't u see that? distraction? U could have braked from much more earlier as you know there is a small jam ahead. Another tip, switch to exterior camera for a second and watch the situation. Edit: Also noticed somth on the video, it took you plenty of time to start braking when you saw the stopped vehicle, maybe almost 1.5 seconds? Which is also a reason to not entirely to blame it on the parked people.
  6. Agree with the idea, would like it for everyone has most VTC ppl don't have patron. Could be cool for people without VTC too.
  7. I often type while driving and nothing bad has happened, I have a controller so I can shift, brake and steer with one hand and type with the other, never had trouble of it. When it comes to steering wheel or keyboard steer it gets harder.

  9. I agree with you completely @TTV TMP_Malinois. In every single report I have made, the message is the same when I get replied, you're right abt the lack of humanity, what you type in the report is ignored and they'll just either decline it or accept it, I also feel like I'm talking to a robot, I've seen some really competent drivers of all countries and languages where they don't know english hence they're limited to become staff, when you make a report, you're asked to select your language but the mod answer is always in english, this wouldn't be a neccesary change if the game had really active staffs even outside of this holiday season, but they're barely on in congested areas, everyone knowning that we need more mods, recruitment is still closed, the only moment you can see a moderator really behaving like a person is in appeals (not always) or in-game, it feels like: @ everyone Everytime you have to answer to a report, copy & paste this message and submit the answer. I couldn't agree more with you.
